Well it is a lot faster in FTL than other ships, so escorts really can't keep up.

So it is generally for use when trouble isn't expected, or escorts are already at both ends of the trip.
 
Actually, I was wondering — can the Super Vogel system project its bubble wider around itself?

Basically, can it do what Yamatai does sometimes, with a larger ship transporting smaller ships (in this case, some starfighters) inside of an FTL bubble or something.
 
I think it is implied that FTL systems can take anything caught inside the bubble with them, but this one doesn't have that particular ability.

To drag something along with it, it would have to be fairly small, like a power armor hanging onto the outside.
 
I grant this submission a special exception to the standard speed cap of .75c for hyperspace in light of it lacking a CDD drive and it being a small non-warship.
 
Well using the stat tables it has nearly all of its points in point to point FTL, giving it below average shields, STL speed and storage space (only one container) and no CDD or weapons.

It should be fine under the current rules without the exemption.
