We have come a very long way, folks.
My efforts have been focused on a more relaxed approval process regarding technological, setting, and plot submissions in an effort to increase interest in the Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia - defined currently as to how many plots are in the subforum.
Based on where we were a few years ago - despite the many plots in Open Roleplay that have either not made it or failed - I can confidently say that this faction is on the right path, carried on the backs of the Game Masters who provide the dream and our players who color and add flavor to it.
I won't try to cast any sort of ideas that ours is a perfect relationship between the playerbase, GMs and myself, but I would like to imagine that we are at least closer together in our love for the Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia.
However, I will not allow myself or any of you to look at the past in order to fondly become comfortable with the present.
Our faction is highlighted by - above all else - personal courage. Courage to step forward and embrace the unpredictable.
Nothing personifies unpredictability more than the future.
Much as I am sure of my commitment to this unique faction, I (or any of you) can never be certain about the future. As such, I view the noted absence of my clearly defined successor to be a major impediment to the stability of this faction.
I could simply go off of seniority, the default method of choosing a successor to any sort of administrator or policymaker for forever.
What I want to do, is put the choice in your hands. I owe it to you all that have made this faction great.
I will be conducting a poll to end a week from now, consisting of the current Nepleslian GMs that have a plot in the DIoN subplot page. It will be based on both an off-site and on-site polling process.
I want you all to keep in mind this one criteria for voting:
Who is the person that will make Nepleslia exciting for years to come?
