RP: Bloody Claws Third Period - Retreat!

"It is quiet... compared to the city," Aka' said as she looked over her shoulder at the other two. "However, we can't always be in the big city," the girl took a few steps forward, hands clasped behind her back as she looked about the area. Tree's swayed in some unseen breeze, clouds pocketed the sky overhead. Aka' lead her class onto the camp grounds and then to the cabins, there were three cabins for all of them and they had free-reign to choose which one's they wanted to bunk in. Each cabin had eight bunks in it along with a chest for them to put their things in, the cabins were spacious and had more than enough room for extra bunks if it was so needed, but right now there were more than enough bunks to go around.

Aka' choose the one nearest the path leading back into the main area of the camp.

Ra'chel followed Aka to their cabin and took a bunk that was nearest to the door. Even with the trapping of civilizations. It was so unlike the city. And it was darker than usual. She settled in and explored the cabin, hoping that the cabins had indoor restrooms and showers.

"Where's the television? Radio?" Ra-chel asked looking forlorn as she discovered the answers for herself. She even felt weird as she breathed the fresh air, even in the cabin. She shook herself, muttering to herself, "No no .. that only happens in the movies! .... that was a fluke. The ship being attacked..."

The Class had headed out to get their beds. Kit'suki fallowed Aka and Ra'chel taking a bed that was in the back. He began to unpack some of his things. Placing his various medical books nearby. This would be one of the best times he had to study. While he's try and make sure that he spent time having fun here his studies were very important for getting into the medical field.

Ra'chel did not seem to be having a good time of it already though. "Relax, I'm sure there's enough here to do, did you at least bring something to read or something to work on?"

"My thesis I'm working on when I go to the University. I hope I have access to the inter-data network. If it reaches out this far...." Ra-chel looked out the window at the shoreline and seeing the looming wall of trees past the drop-off point. Even the bus they rode on was already gone.

Cy'jiro looked around after they had made it to their destination, the place was quiet and beautiful, it reminded him of his hometown. He followed after the others to get head to the cabin. "Don't you have a few years before you have to worry about getting a thesis in?" He spoke softly to Ra'chel "You could let yourself relax and enjoy the experience."

"Better to be prepared and start now. So there is no rush. Makes for a better Thesis for the Doctorate." Ra-chel smiled at Cy'jiro. She unpacked stuffing her clothes into separate drawers on the stand next to her chosen bunk. And of course her laptop on top of it. She looked for the power outlet to hook up the power to it, as she set up keyboard with an extra long cord and an external mouse so she could have access to the laptop while in bed.

"Ra'chel dose make a good point." Kit'suki said as he finished his unpacking. "I plan to get some work done here in the peace and quite of nature." Still unlike Ra'chel whom he assumed was going to spend all her time in here, he planned fully well to enjoy some of he many things the camp had to offer.

A red blur exited the bus, zipping up the trail and into the cabin, dropping a duffle bag upright on the floor without skipping a beat as it flew underneath the covers of one of the beds. A red muzzle with quivering black nose peeking out from within the dark recesses under the duvet turned towards them.

The duffle bag finally tipped over and hit the floor with a loud bang, the name tag on the handle revealing the mysterious identity as "Bu'lla's. DO NOT NICK!"

Ra-chel blinked and jumped at the duffle tipped over. Seeing the nose of Bu'lla stick out from underneath the covers. She was surprised that someone else had more of a phobia of being away from the city. She could see this trip was going to be a disaster in the making.

"Preparing for university isn't a bad idea, I know I need to get to work on my essay," Aka' grumbled when she thought about it, followed by her rubbing the back of her head. "Although I doubt the Queen would let me tour her castle for my essay... mrrr...." she let out a sigh was about to sit down on the bed when she noticed the blur and yelped out of the way, she stood there in surprise for a moment and then noticed the little nose peering out from beneath a pair of sheets. The girl blinked a few times before she walked over and poked the nose a couple times.

"Yeah sounds like we all have work to do." Kit'suki said. "I'm not sure if I'll head to university, or perhaps a Youth Corps medical program." he said. "Either way I want to be a field medic so a life in the Navy will be somewhere in my future." he said. "What about you guys? What are your ultimate goals for a career?" He asked before a blur that was Bull'a shot pass them and into bed making the three Kits investigate.

"Bull'a?, Heh and here I thought the Liba's would do far better than the Daur's in this weather." He said to the self professed "elite" member of the team... or whatever he was calling himself these days. He didn't really get along with Bull'a outside of matches. He'd do his beast to work with him and get missions done, but generally Bull'a rubbed him the wrong way.

Ra'chel wrinkled her face up, "Me? Definitely not the Youth Corp!" She spat out. "Got j-family sister in the corps and she's been missing forever... They gave up on her!" She fled the cabin, letting the door slam shut behind her as she ran off up the boardwalk.

She slowed to a walk, unsure where to go. She meandered through the maze of cabins and the facility to see what they offered. Eventually She ended up sitting on a park-like steel bench near the parking area, looking at the facilities staff vehicles. She should've ran with the rougher crowd when younger. Then she would know how to hotwire and drive a vehicle. But her sister Kata-nova kept her from it, even though they both spent plenty of time staying out past curfew running with a gang. But never did the real criminal acts such as stealing vehicles, gang fights. Just hung out on edges for mutual protection they offered.

Ra'chel muttered softly, "Kata, if you still alive. I hope you're being treated well. I haven't given up the faith you'll be found and returned. I just don't know how to get them to listen to me to keep up the effort to find you."

The red snout bit at probing finger threateningly, before the 'head' end of the duvet turned to Kit'suki.

"I don't hate the outdoors, I have paws. How do I even shoe?" It hissed back grumpily.

It seemed to be true the saying about red heads feeling cold. As Ra'chel fled the barracks, the duvet tracked her progress, after the door slammed closed it turned back to the room.

"What is wrong with her? Why would you go out there!"

When Ra'chel ran out, several students watched her and some even chatted amongst themselves, wondering if a fight had happened. Aka' rubbed the back of her head as she thought about what to do. "She's worried about a family member, one that I hope is found soon..." her voice trailed off, she stuffed her hands into the pockets of her uniform and casually strolled toward the door. "I'm going to wander around a little bit, how about you guys have some fun? We don't have any activities and such until tomorrow, may as well use this time to unwind," she smiled weakly before leaving the cabin.

Outside the girl walked calmly along the boardwalk, peering out over the lake and toward a distant waterfall that could vaguely be seen through some mist.

"You can soe easily Bull'a they make ones for Libas. It's what my Family used whenever they went somewher that required it. You should have packed up better." he said.

Kit'suki felt bad about Ra'chel. He hadn't realized that his fellow team member had a sister that was missing, and what's more had not desired to upset her by listing his plans. He had eyes on joining the Navy however as a Medic so him joining the Youth Courps wasn't that far of a stretch. Aka began to leave telling them to have some fun. "We'll try to Captain. Have fun using my Binoculars." he said as she had mentioned needing them for somthing

::Bench by the Parking Lot::

Ra'chel sat on the bench and nature did its seditious work on her. Stirring the brain cells as she thought on the problem. Pilots are always going missing. Either through miscalculations or poor judgement. Enemy fighters and such without a trace. Most of the time, the pilots went missing and the wreckage was recovered. But in her sisters case. Both went missing. Something that would be carries by the craft and deployed even if the pilot couldn't deploy them. She knew fighter crafts had plenty of back up systems even if the main one was inoperable.

"Bread Crumbs!" She smiled at the possibility of her new idea. It may not help her J-Sister out now. But the future pilots would reap the benefits of her idea. She stood up and made her way back to the cabin. She was lost in thought as she returned to the cabin.

Ra'chel's thoughts would be interrupted by a distant 'boom', the sound that fighters make when they break the sound barrier. There was some chatter from this, including a few students perhaps year or two younger than that of Ra'chel that were looking up at the sky, although they lacked the garb signifying them as a volunteer in the Youth Corp, their chatter and posture would've told anyone that they were military disciplined.

Near the cabin, but on an overwalk looking across the water, Aka' pulled the binoculars to her eyes and looked toward the distant waterfall. At first, all she saw was water, then several specks appear in front of it; and those specks were growing closer...

"Geeze Bull'a if this is all it takes to make you cower I'll bring Ice along with me from now on. the Dura continued to get back at the normally arrogant Liba. However his teasing was inturrupted by the sounds far off of booming. He groaned. "So much for peace and quite, guess we'll hear the City from here afterall." he said and then looked to the nose poking out from the Blanket. "Alright, I'm going to go grab somthing to eat, Want me to bring you something back?" he asked. He figured he could at least somewhat try to get along with his teammate from time to time

The scent of food on the air, guided Ra'chel to the dining facility. She scowled at the sonic booms. Out here they were louder than in the in the city. But out here there wasn't much competition in sound either. She sighed and pulled out a notebook. A small pocket sized on with a stub of a pencil in the wire binding. She made notes as she walked along, about 'Bread Crumbs' and limiting aero-space craft maneuvers out over the ocean.

She entered the Dining Facility and made her way through the line to get something to eat. She took the mainline since it could be charged to the stipend she received each week. The line went quick as there wasn't that many went for the mainline meal. Everyone went for the more popular fast foods that you had to pay out of your own pocket.

It didn't take to long for the specks in the distance to grow closer, until they could be made out to be fighters, five in total.. Aka' had since made her way toward the dining area but was then stopped when she saw a few youth corp students - quite a few years older than her given the uniform's they were wearing - pointing out at the lake. The fighters had gotten closer, and by now, it could be made out that they were also from the Youth Corp - this was made obvious by their relatively small size compared to what was typically found in the navy.

Once the fighters were less than a hundred meters from the camp, the lead arc'd upward while the other four split off to the sides; and then once they were almost a hundred meters apart they came toward each other and crossed their flight paths - creating a show for those on the ground to watch.
