Same old pod, new tricks:

- Now with faster, more maneuverable engines
- Optional shield package (lets GMs choose difficulty)
- Weapons can be swapped (lets GMs choose)
- Weapons mounts (for more GM freedom)
- Can accept alternate pilots
- Model redone with better parts
- Combines torpedo pod and fighter pod into one easy-to-reference unit
 
umm... Wes don't take this personally ... but some us liked the fact that fighters and bomber where separate classes.

Kind of like X-wings, Y-Wings, A-Wings, E-Wings, and K-wings
or Tie Fighters, Tie Bombers, Tie Incepters, Tie Defenders, and Tie Cerburus

Other than that I kind of thought the idea of new small NMX ships was pretty cool
 
@dusk: GMs can still (and probably should, at least for a while) use the two older pod types as well if they want to differentiate the various types of battle pods; however, the original two were pretty similar anyway, and I think that given the limited space inside a starship, the NMX would appreciate a class of pod that can be a fighter or a bomber depending on what you load it with.

Note that I have added color details to it so if desired GMs can make the torpedo-equipped ones red-striped, etc.

@Doshii: They are a challenge for Yamatai's fighters but in most respects they are about even. The NMX pod is faster, though, but less armored.
 
Can we get a render of the underside of the battlepod?

I'd also like to see you add the amount of guns to where the Damage rating is listed (ADR 4 guns x4, Missiles ADR 3 x24 missiles, ect)

Finally I'd like to know a bit more about the missiles. Are they reliable or no? how do they track a target? can they be used in an atmosphere?

The DR is per turret (already listed).

The missiles are fairly reliable but that sort of thing is basically in the hands of GMs. If that needs clarification (and I'm not sure it does) that would be something for a separate NMX missile article, not this.
 
The idea is so you have a quick spot to reference DR and weapons instead of having to look at the DR then re-read the descriptor.
