Thanks hugely for the warm welcome, guys! (And... gal?) A little about mehself -

My name's Caz. I live somewhere around the middle of New Zealand. Yeah, it's a little out of the way timezone-wise (and every other-wise), but being a full-time bum gives you a fairly flexible schedule. As my profile will tell you, a like-a teh gaming - on PC and X360 - and-a teh internetile surfage, and a bit of tinkering on meh drumkit. (Who am I kidding, I just finished paying it off! *bashbash*)

Nnnnnnnnn' stuff. I'll have that profile up soon enough, I tend to take a while with these things. >_>
 
You have several choices for where your character goes, which I will helpfully list and mock.

  • YSS Sakura - the 'flagship' of the site, run by admin and resident pervert Wes, whose main roles generally consist of having to save the empire from something, having large amounts of sex, having lots of internal drama, getting blown up a lot, and on ocassion sitting down together and having pancakes.
  • YSS Miharu - run by Fred ('Kotori'), infamous for eating players, this ship tends towards secrecy, revenge, confusion, and character death.
  • YSS Goban - run by Jake ('Doshii Jun'), who often will randomly disperse ebonics into his speech, this ship is the drama unfolding around a cargo vessel's crew, and its gruff, experienced captain, aboard the YSS Audachi. (The Goban is currently elsewhere.)
  • NSS Alliance - run by Tom, this ship specializes in getting really drunk, shooting things, and making action movie-esque oneliners.
  • YSS Yugumo - Dead. 'Run' by complainers.
  • SRSS Yggdrasil - run by Erik Toshiro, this ship is unfortunately currently on ice.
  • Future Elysian plotship - run by a whole bunch of non-americans, this plotship has no jokes I can make about it yet.
  • Future Lorath plotship - I don't know if this is happening in the near future or not, but it's an option.
  • ISC Osiris - not exactly 'official' yet, this is a shameless plug for my good friend Concerto, who I will not make jokes about out of fear for him hitting me over the head.
  • Other - you could go on your own, but the path is long, difficult, and not really that adventageous. There may or may not be other independant plots starting up, so keep an eye out.
But really, you should ask the individual GMs what your best choices are.
 
Cool, thanks. I'll probably join up with whichever ship is in need of whatever job I'm going for, and I guess fits with my schedule (but as I said, that's flexible).

Although, from those descriptions, the Sakura is currently looking like the most appealing >.<

Hmm...the line "Dude, where's my car?" comes to mind every time I sit down to write in the Goban. *sigh*

Anywhos...I'm Omega, current crew-member of the Goban, and I WILL, one day, reach a level of win that the rest of our fearless leaders and GMs have obtained through the months/years. Until then, I just try to help keep the Goban alive and running. >.<

Now. Stare into my avatar until you either become my minion, or your eyes bleed...sometimes they both happen at once...
 
Talked to Luca a bit earlier and currently looking at the Goban as a possibility (as limitlessly appealing as sex and pancakes is). Thinking I need to give my character a bit of a do-over though. Or just a do... don't exactly have too much down on paper just yet.

Not to fear though, I shant let this slackoffery permeate into my posting rituals. I'm just a perfectionist is all. And a lazy one at that. ^_^

Just to let you know I am still around (sort of). Was busy over new years, then went on family holiday and just now have a few things to sort, but once I'm free again I'll take another look at that profile and, who knows, maybe even post something worthwhile. ^_^
