Werewolf Game (RP-ed!)

Venicus jogged to the back room, only to find the door already open and no one inside. "Damn it! They took the Amato and the girl." He walked into the hall and looked around. "We have to get out of here now! We'll worry about who sold us out later!" He jogged back into the front room and peeked out the window, trying to see if any soldiers were left. "Someone with a pistol, check the back door, eliminate any soldiers you see, shoot to kill!"

As Vernicus looked out he heard Bob behind him “What the hell happened to Leigh?”. With the street lights out front he could just make out the gunner in one of the jeeps cock a rather large looking gun machinegun and swing the barrel towards the house.

"GET DOWN!!!!" Venicus dove behind the couch and planted himself flat on the ground, hands covering his neck. He looked around and, seeing one of the dead soldiers, crawled in prone over to the body and grabbed thew soldiers rifle. Once a break in the machine gun fire came he sprang up into the window and fired at the machine gunner. "Back of the house unless you want to end up like Leigh!"

There was a roar as fist sized holes were punched into the front door, and glass shattered, the barricade on the window not lasting more than a few seconds.

Bob dived at Vernicus's warning, and crawled desperately towards the back of the house, only stopping to grab the baseball bat still leaning against the wall, undisturbed despite everything. "This 'be a good place not to be!" he shouted, barely audible above the gunfire.

Gerry jumped out of the bed he had been asleep in. After shaking off the immediate confusion he took stock of everything that was happening. "i also surrender!" he said as he dropped his police baton.

What kind of police baton that he brought during that time? I really want to know.)

Venicus fired several more times at the machine gunner before crawling into the back hallway. "There's nothing more that we can do, let's get out of here." He dropped the rifle that he had, since it was probably low on ammo, and picked up an automatic weapon from one of the dead soldiers in the hallway. He slung that over his back, making sure to grab some extra ammo magazines from the body, grabbed his shotgun, and crouched next to the back door. "Check the windows for soldiers." Venicus cracked the door open and looked around for any soldiers patrolling the back yard.

Gerry followed Venicus and grabbed another machine gun and stashed his baton into a pocket. "So what's the plan?" as he checked over the gun.

The way was clear, there was a wooden fence in the backyard, and beyond the back neighbours house Venicus could just see the tops of trees from a nearby park. It seemed the earlier snatch squad was all the military was planning on taking alive, that and the machinegun at the front was already beginning to make dents in the back wall next to the three of them.

"Go!" Venicus sprinted through the backyard and, in one fluid motion, leaped over the back fence and into the neighbors yard. He hit the ground running and took off around the neighbors yard. He paused to make sure the coast was clear on the street and then turned to the others. "Alright, there's a park ahead a bit, but due to our unusually dangerous equipment we should probably avoid public areas. Our number one priority is getting some place safe, and on foot we're sitting ducks. I vote that we wait for the soldier to leave and then take off in whoever's car is parked out front of Liegh's, but I'm open to suggestions."

Bob scrambled after Venicus and hauled himself ungraciously over the fence, landing heavily on the other side with a loud “omph”. Behind them, the machine gun fire had finally stopped, and shouts were heard as engines revved and vehicles pulled away, through the gloom the group could just peek over the fence to see two vehicles towing to other cars away.

“Those damn whipple shcaffers have gone done taken mah wheels!” Bob hissed angrily, reverting to country jibberish in grief. As the vehicles disappeared up the street and around the corner away from them he stood up, a half crazed look in his eye “If they mistreat Betsy I'm going to...” Bob couldn't finish, clenching his fists in anger.

Venicus almost turned around and smacked Gerry. "Don't you listen!? People in public areas tend to get concerned when random people walk around with automatic weapons. We need to find a safe house to lay low in and choose our next move and we need to get moving now before the soldiers come back and find us."

“That's just what they'll want us to do.” replied Bob slowly, his drawl receding as he calmed down. “If those two talk, they'll know everything about us, names, appearance, even what we're carrying. There's only so much town to hide in, they'll find us eventually.”

“They'll take them to that little base they've set up in the school, probably let them stew a bit before they get to work. They'll have Betsy and my supplies there too.” he thought for a second before looking at the other two “Unless you folks gotta better idea 'fore we die, we might as well give it a try.” he offered, shrugging

Meanwhile, in the back of one of the jeeps, the two prisoners were jostled by every bump in the road and every corner the vehicle took, the hard, unforgiving metal occasionally bruising. Before long they felt the car stop and the engine turn off, there were shouts as soldiers began looking over their equipment and comrades before a door opened and they were both rustled out and marched somewhere.

After a time they each felt their wrists unbound, and were pushed forwards, hearing a door slam behind them. They'd been left to stew. The good news? At least they were in the same room, for now.

((Sorry about the inexcusable wait. Things just got ahead of me, and I ended up sitting on a backlog of stuff that needed doing. Again, I apologise, and hope to do better in the future.))

Gerry looked from Venicus to Bob. "Are you saying we should try to rescue them? I don't know. It sounds like suicide to try a rescue mission from an army base."

"Trying to storm the base is suicide." Venicus thought for a second. "Did you guys notice how the two that got taken didn't even put up a fight? They just submit to the soldiers. Leigh said there was a spy in our midst, but what if there were two. Those two seemed a little close for "not knowing each other" and besides, what other reason would there have been for them to not fight while the other four did." Venicus crouched down as he observed his surroundings, waiting for any signs of a surprise attack. "I stand by the theory that they were both spies and that it's useless to go back for them. Plus this entire place is under martial law, which means they might not even be alive anymore."

Gerry nodded. "Death by firing squad or something like that. Who knows? Anyway I'm sure we can figure something else out." he said looking at the other two. "Cause I don't know about either of you but I want to see my wife again."

“These people just started a fire fight in the middle of a suburban neighbourhood, you think they will show any restraint to make sure we're found? If those two talk, none of us is getting out of this town alive.” Bob breathed out and calmed down a little. “If you two have a better idea, lets hear it?”

"Shit..." Venicus thought carefully as he considered the possibilities. "I guess we could use the extra help." He sighed once before admitting. "Alright, let's go get them, lead the way."

Gerry considered his options carefully. Then sighed in resigned acceptance. "Alright, fine we'll go save them. But if I die you both better explain to my wife why I didn't make it."
