This looks like a cute little article!

I see that the last sentence of the first major paragraph (More About Children's Day) is cut off, but other than that it seems to come along pretty nicely!

I'll pop a reviewal on this in a couple days probably~ (most of this probably comes down to FM-level approval tho)

I don't know anything about Children's Day in real life, so I'm not sure what Star Army Dot Com specific elements you've added, but it'd be cool to see more of those if possible. The mention of Tsubomi being a town with a lot of orphans is cool, for example. Even simple references about notable events that may have happened or always happens on Children's Day (such as during a war or work with Wes to come up with an explanation of how the government observes the holiday, if they do stuff like public official appearances and the like).

Was Children's Day in Yamatai established on a certain date for a certain reason? Maybe look at a few different real life festivals (Japanese and Nordic) for further inspiration; due to the nature of RP, including many holiday analogues isn't really feasible or desirable, so amalgamating several cultural sources of inspiration to make something uniquely Yamataian could be a cool thing for you to explore here.

Idk. It's probably approvable as-is. Always nice to kick it up a notch, though.

My only complaint is the noiseless fireworks, but assuming you want to stick with them, it's good to go once @Wes gives his FM stamp of approval.

I added that the Empress goes out n about on this day (last paragraph of More About).

Ready for @Wes.

The day is overwhelmingly festive and fun for all!!
Is this proper language for a wiki article?

For that matter, is it, really? A good portion of the Empire's population are nekovalkyrja - most of which haven't been born to anyone and don't really have a childhood. Sure, it might be as good an excuse as any other to party... but wouldn't there be a disconnect for them?

I know I'm not a very festive person, and since I'm single, Valentine's Day is not very high in my list of favored holidays. I figure I can be moved to indifference, annoyance, and perhaps even envy - few of which are enjoyable emotions.

Basically, I'm mostly in agreement with Raz. It's by no means a bad article, but it might benefit from considering how to deal with the nekovalkyrja.

Neko who decide to interbreed and have children/family who aren't required to join the Star Army still pop out civilian type species. And it's not as if the concept of a normal family is alien to Neko themselves — they are the products of a civilization that produced civilian type bodies alongside the military type.

Some mention of Neko observance would be totally cool, I agree. However, I don't agree that the concept of children and family is necessarily alien to Neko in default, though it's true that Neko younglings themselves rarely get to experience the holiday unless they're lucky enough to be born sometime around it.

Maybe, within Neko warrior culture, those girls within their first year are still considered "children" and celebrated during the holiday? Or it's traditional to give Neko ranked Santo Hei a Children's Day gift.

Both Raz and Fred make good points. Since this is a wiki article, I suggest covering the general perceptions of various demographics in Yamatai towards this, even if they may not be entirely positive. At the very least, Neko will take this as an excuse to party, as pointed out.

I changed the bombastic wording for @Fred from "all" to "many" and added an OOC note about Neko not generally being celebrated unless under three months of age for @CadetNewb

My point was protesting the noiseless fireworks - I'm of the belief that the kids would like it more if they were the regular noisy type. Fred's I believe, was about the Neko. If I had to guess, his point was that since Neko could be born as full adults, they'd feel there's a disconnect, even if they are under three months. The ones that are vat grown to adulthood, yet are under three months of age might say or think "I'm not a kid!" for an example - they typically look and act like young women after all.

This level of detail is optional however, so I'll go ahead and mark this as APPROVED
