During the latter stages of development,
I think that should be later. Other than that, I don't see anything that needs changing. At first glance the article looked like it needed more detail, but then as I went into the sub-articles, I could see that information was extensive.

Approved.

Actually it should be latter.
From Merriam Webster
Latter - of or relating to the end

;)

Thanks,
It was the only way I could see to keep the page from becoming unwieldy.

Wes, why are you auto-approving Yamataian articles but a lot of stuff here sits and rots for upwards of months at a time?

I'm not saying it's a bad article but it should go through the proper channels: You set a bad example by not doing so.

The reason is that Brian talks to me as he develops the submission, so by the time it hits the NTSE forum, I'm already familiar with it and have already read the articles as they are added to the wiki.

For other submissions, I often have to start from scratch.

There are more standards to be met here than yours alone:

While you are the last word to some degree, it has to pass through the tech mods, otherwise your approval is as meaningful as a sombrero in the rain -- Unless everything it uses is pre-approved -- In which case the thing needs to be considered on its strengths and the possibility it could be detrimental to roleplay in some aspect.

I would agree that things need to be on the NTSE for a reasonable period of time to give people the opportunity to look them over, and this item was up for a reasonable period of time (the better part of 3 days). No one commented on it because, looking through it, it is like the mild-mannered accountant of stations. It does its thing, not flashily, but it does it. The only problem I can see with it is the need for it, as it is based on the Star Trek assumption that travel time to and from base is a issue, which it isn't (even a "slow" transport could make it to Yamatai from any point on the starmap in just over two hours. Any Point. Space travel is more akin to regional air-travel in modern times than to international flight (never mind to actual sea-going travel) and people do not seem to realize that. However, that is more of a general thing. If a nation wants to shovel resources into something that is not needed, they can do that.

Osaka, I understand why you are angry about this, since you have had a item sitting in the NTSE for sometime now. I'm sorry it hasn't been formerly reviewed yet. I can't speak for the other reviewers, but I have been pretty busy for the last week and haven't been able to spend much time on the board.

Nashoba's submissions are also usually quite good, this is no exception.

For the most part the actual need for something isn't really a factor in approval as that is handled ICly and the small nitpicks here and there aren't really even in need of correction, just expect the 'space as an ocean' guys to get blown away by the 'space is 3d guys' every time. Also, people forget about the gate networks. Travel time between Yamatai and any major world is going to be minutes if that. Any point on the map could probably be reached in considerably less than 2 hours.
