Hello, I am The Protagonist of this story. I am a high school student who is soon to graduate in May, and I'm a huge sci-fi and mecha junkie.

I enjoy how science fiction can place humanity in situations it cannot or has not encountered. The idea alone tugs at my interest and draws me in further. It allows us to compare humanity against other intelligences, and when we return from the worlds of science fiction, we often see our own time differently. It offers insight, caution, or new and fruitful questions. It's such a beautiful genre.

Oh, I do watch a lot of anime and read quite a bit of manga, and I would love to hear if you guys have any suggestions when it comes to the sci-fi genre. I'm especially into mecha anime/ manga!

Honestly, I will admit that this forum is a little intimidating to me. It's a little more complex compared to other forums I'm used to, especially when it come to character creation. I hope I can reach a full understanding of how things work without causing any problems.

How'd you find Star Army?
Google search for "sci fi roleplay forums" since it finally hit me that those exist.

What interested you in joining?
People tell each other stories around camp fires and forums, and many of these tales dealt with heroes or events touched with extravagance, beyond normal experience with technological advancement and exploration of the vast and unknown reaches of space. All of which has now been compiled into a huge open world universe for characters of your creation to interact and make history. It is simply beautiful place. It brings a tear to my eye.

Ever done this text-based roleplaying thing before?
Yes, many times before since I was twelve. (I was very horrible back then, UGH.)

Any previous experiences you want to share?
Nothing too extraordinary.

Do you prefer:
  • Playing male, female, or other-gendered characters?
    I typically enjoy playing female characters more so than male characters.
  • Spontaneous or planned RP?
    I prefer planned roleplays, but I have no trouble with spontaneous ones.
  • Military or civilian characters?
    I am often one for military. (Suggestions on anime/ manga of military focused plots would also be great as well.)
  • Humans, androids, anthros, or aliens?
    I prefer humans and androids, but some alien species can be fun.
  • Being on a starship or being on a planet?
    Starships are cool, especially when caught up in intergalactic battles, but so are planets that differ from our world, which tend to be plenty in science fiction.
  • Roleplay via forum posts or in real-time?
    Forum posts give me more time to think and elaborate on my character's thoughts and actions.
On a scale of 1 to 3, what's your preferred level of these in your RP:
  • Language: 2
  • Violence: 2
  • Sexuality: 2
What's something cool you'd love to RP?
I'd love to have a roleplay where you pilot mechs, the fighting machines, whose appeal comes from the combination of potent weaponry with a more stylish combat style than a mere vehicle. That would be so cool!

Come hop in chat, say Hi, get to know us. My best suggestion for new players is to just cruise the wiki and see if anything jumps out at you. There are a lot of options regarding factions and something is sure to strike your interest!

That's "Ms. Protagonist" to you! Haha, I guess I should mention that I am indeed female. An understandable mistake, given that I have not specified my gender. It is only natural for one to assume male when left unstated.

I hear you like mecha... If you are as passionate about it as I, then perhaps cloning is in question, but, by chance, I am could be your doppelgänger. You should be careful.

Oh my. If you'd like to join a plot/faction that I Accidentally transformed into one based around my variable fighter. I'd love to have you interact with my ultimate meme of a character.
