ON> YSS Rave
Kikyo walked out of her quarters leaving Utsumi and Tyriel alone inside, her thoughts dwelled on the man inside. He seemed to be hiding something, and she figured she wouldn't like it at all. However as an Elysian she didn't want to create a diplomatic incident over her suspicions so she decided to put in a call to the head of her military department. She ducked into a private room and sent a transmission requesting to speak with the head of SAINT, if at all possible. There had been a lack of leadership within the department recently, and Kikyo didn't know what she was going to be met with on the other line of this communication. She smiled, she liked the uncertainty of it all.
After a short wait, the secretary transferred her to a middle-aged man with short black hair and glasses. He was seated in a giant, ornate-looking desk with a green marble top, with gold lamps and decoration. It could very well be the palace, with his surroundings. "Hello," he greeted her.
Kikyo bowed, "I am Taisa Ketsurui Kyoshi Kikyo sir, I don't think we have met."
"I'm Master Taisho Ketsurui Uesureyu. Yui asked me to help SAINT out yesterday. What can I do for you, Taisa?"
"I requested the transfer of an Elysian onto the Rave sir, he has been acting very odd." Kikyo paused, "It is my belief that he is hiding something, due to the fact he is an Archangel I thought I should acquire permission first before proceeding with an investigation. I would not want to be the cause of a diplomatic incident."
"Well, there are a lot of rebel groups out there. We don't want to take chances in a critical time. What has he done that has aroused you interest?" Uesu asked, leaning back in his leather chair.
"He is an assassin Sir, untrustworthy at the best of times, and when I asked why he decided to join the army, he said it was for his own reasons.
Kikyo thought a moment, "He did nothing but arouse my suspicion during our entire conversation."
"I see," the man said, "Anything else, or just a feeling?"
"Just the comment about joining for his own reasons and a rather strong gut feeling sir."
"I see. Well, you have my go ahead. Better to act then to wish we had later," Uesu nodded. "There's danger on the horizon."
Kikyo nodded, "I know, I'm not sure how it will manifest itself but it is certainly coming. I must say I am mostly in the dark about my current assignment, can you fill me in on any of the details?"
"We're looking for Empress Yuumi. There's been rumors she's somewhere in the Funky City area on Nepleslia. It's a real mess there. The Nepleslians don't really have a strong Star Army presence--it's part of the peace treaty--and so it is largely uncontrolled. If she's there, we need to find her and rescue her."
Kikyo nodded, "I'll do my best to see that she is recovered sir."
"And..." Uesu added, "there's another thing..."
"What is it?" Kikyo asked.
"Do you know anything about the legendary neko called Naraku?" Uesu asked.
"Some measure of what my mother has told me, she is a prisoner on board the Celia I believe, caught after she assassinated Taisho Ashigari."
"Well, she's headed for Nepleslia with your division as the Celia's escort. I want to to make sure that the transfer to the prison goes smoothly."
"Is that my official assignment for the moment?" Kikyo asked.
Uesu nodded."Yes, that and the search for Yuumi. Can you keep up with both?"
Kikyo smiled, "I'm good at multi tasking."
Uesu smiled, admiring her womanhood. "Excellent. Anything else, Taisa Kikyo?"
Kikyo shook her head, "Nothing sir. Thank you for your time."
"No problem. Call me anytime, okay?"
Kikyo nodded, "Thank you again." She paused a moment, "Say hello to my mother for me as well if you wouldn't mind sir."
"Alright," Uesu grinned, chuckling a little to himself. He liked Kikyo's nature, it brought a smile to his lips. "See you later."
Kikyo nodded and politely waited for him to sign off first.
Uesu grinned at her for a few seconds until he realized it wasn't his handsome looks that had her starting at him. "Oh," he said, and the channel ended.
Kikyo closed her side of the connection and sat down. She pulled her laptop out and started her investigation into Tyriel's past...
