Subject: Breach of Diplomatic Procedure

First and foremost greetings, I hope all is well. I want to apologize for having to contact the Premier's office on official business. It has come to my attention that their has been a breech of diplomatic procedure. A certain Ambassador by the name of Sachiko has breached diplomatic procedure and broken our laws by making Diplomatic contact with a Suzerain state of ours with out seeking permission to do so.

This was made aware to me by the leader of the Suzerain state: Khalena Het Laderen. This could be seen as a clandestine operation considering the content found in their meeting, and the fact it was initiated with out going through proper diplomatic channels.

I of course do not like to come with complaints with out offering solutions. Typically we would demand that the accused be extradited to the Gartagen home-world for trial and subsequent punishment. However considering she simply may not been familiar with diplomatic procedure and how it works, I am more than willing accept a public apology and she can state what her own punishment should be for this grievous offense. However, I trust in the Premier's office to handle this matter accordingly.

I must personally apologize for the grief this incident has caused you. This is not something we ever want to do to our allies, especially such long-standing ones.

There is the fact about this incident that, by virtue of the election for a new premier, I cannot in good conscience handle her case by myself.

I have relayed this matter to my Empress for her review, so that she might adjudicate.

1. The Yamatai Star Empire has not yet recognized that the Vekimen and Gartagen empires are one country instead of separate, sovereign nations and will treat each nation as separate entities until such time we are able to analyze and recognize the new Union.

2. The Yamatai Star Empire refuses to honor any laws and restrictions regarding on whom our diplomats may or may not speak to. Any interference with our diplomats would have a direct negative impact on our international relations, which have been very good and mutually beneficial thus far.

3. The fault lies not with the diplomat but with Khalena Het Laderen who apparently hosted our diplomat without your permission. We suggest you seek your answers from her instead.
