Approved Character [Exodus] Is'kra O'rel

You know, if he were relevant in the economics of Osman City he might know about the little Shadow War they had. Maybe if he were a member of the most elite and maybe if he was directly affected he might know. But as a mechanic?... nope not a chance. It's a game of spies that is going to be returning in my future plots that are specifically intended to be unheard of by anyone not involved.
In the riots following the economic collapse of the USO, Is'kra once again had the idea to leave due to job insecurity. When the reinstatement of the USO economy was in place, he disagreed with their method of regulating their money. Rather than risk “vanishing” due to certain secret police, Is'kra hopped on the Sky Guard's desertion fleet.
This part needs some tweaking to fit the current canon, perhaps having him lose confidence in the Sky Guard or something along those lines.
ALSO: I find it highly unlikely that a mechanic would know anything about the inner workings of a private corporation's finances. You may want to remove or justifythe possession of that knowledge.

Here's the thing: If an affluent person just mysteriously...goes away, what's happened to them? To a normal person it might not matter much, but to him it seems a little like the whole Neshaten nightmare's come back.

Though I did fix it. Also, note that he isn't just "some mechanic."

It is first called a "silent war" here by Candon in a letter to Masumi.
Here it calls the antagonist the "de facto leader of the quiet rebellion."
Finally, this thread has multiple references.

Who cares, he's a mechanic that works in space. He's not even a local citizen. He has no idea who's who. There was plenty of rioting and multiple violent outbursts from small groups of citizens. Just because the police have to work extra riot control shifts doesn't automatically make a squire an economic scholar or High Society socialite. The character you have described would be so far removed from the Shadow War plotline that he would have no idea.

Of course I can ask you not to mix OOC information with IC knowledge but the bottom line is that this is my plot line and I am the GM. If you would like to make references to my plot you need to reflect it correctly. You don't see me misadvertising Elysia, do you?

The changes look like they reflect Rizzo's needs, to me. Is that correct, Rizzo?

"...as well as the fact that even with the economic recovery, no matter how he looked at it the currency was unstable..."
OOC opinion reflected ICly is touchy but I have no problem with his character being wrong. Go for it.

He’s a slightly skittish pragmatist. The Neshaten are in a period of stability and he still left. Because there was too much tension in the air.

"riots following the economic collapse of the USO" should probably be changed to something like "Riots during the economic crisis in the USO" since the problem was resolved in a month or so.

Sorry if I mistook that as your personal ideology, this post might have given me the wrong impression.
Also, I did some thinking on the USO economic system. It's hardly perfect. In fact, it's an ideal system...that kind of collapses once you apply economic principles.

The government owns the banks, and the banks are the ones that create currency. We can establish this. We can also confirm the fact that the amount of money is finite, as in, every ArcMark is backed by some amount of resource. No inflation, therefore, can occur. Right? Wrong.

The answer why it's wrong is banks. Whenever you store money in a bank, the bank now has your money. It gives out that money in the form of loans. This artificially creates money, which creates inflation...which devalues your currency. Oops!

So, let's restrict loans. Oh, but that can't happen either. Because if you restrict loans, you restrict business development, restricting your economy's potential to grow. So you find it hard to put down that loan for building your gigantic battleship, since then you don't collect money from the populous.

So now what? Kill the banks? Now everyone's just keeping their stacks of cash to themselves. Nothing happens, except for a very occasional trade for food. Remember that the people of 188604, before they were a civilization, were people on a desert planet scrounging for food. They can certainly live off of barely anything, being self-sufficient above all else.

Eventually, you'll have to give into one of our modern-day economic systems. It'll just happen. At best the USO financial system is a temporary measure to get yourself back on your feet, and I don't think funding a battleship is a smart way to get back up.
We should probably get around to resolving our differences sometime if you're joining the 188604 plot. It might help me give more benefit of doubt if we knew each other as friends.

To avoid confusion and be in line with the faction manager's wishes, can you refrain from using the term USO in the plot title? @Alex Hart

I'll give this a looking over, there are a few things that already popped out to me but I wanna give it a more thorough look to make sure it meets standards.
