Hello! My name is Cheesy, or Cheesigator. Cheesus is also acceptable. I am surprisingly a female but kind of ambivalent about it, so she/her, they/them or "that thing" or "gator" will also suffice.

How'd you find Star Army?
I googled "Sci fi roleplay" and this was the first thing that came up. : D

What interested you in joining?
I have no idea : D everything? Everything. I like to have a diverse character cast.

Ever done this text-based roleplaying thing before?
So like I've been roleplaying on forums for some 9-10 years now but somehow never did tabletop gaming so the setup of this website is very foreign to me.

Any previous experiences you want to share?
So I was on iAntivirus. If any of you know what that means :v you will probably have one of two reactions.

Do you prefer:
  • Playing male, female, or other-gendered characters? ALL OF THE ABOOOOOOOOVE
  • Spontaneous or planned RP? I do like to plan things out first but if things happen organically that weren't planned that's usually okay too.
  • Military or civilian characters? BOOOOOOOOOOOTH
  • Humans, androids, anthros, or aliens? Yes.
  • Being on a starship or being on a planet? Yes.
  • Roleplay via forum posts or in real-time? YES.
On a scale of 1 to 3, what's your preferred level of these in your RP:
  • Language: 2-3, at least like 16+ tbh
  • Violence: 1-2 I don't really see a need to write out excessive gore, it gets boring to me ahaha
  • Sexuality: 3. Did someone say secks? I know I heard someone say it. o v o
What's something cool you'd love to RP?
So I'm called Cheesy for a reason--I love cheesy rps. I like funny threads and romance. I love roleplays about characters getting to know each other in the most interesting ways imaginable and then falling in looooooooove over a really long and dramatic plotline with lots of comedic relief sometimes thrown in too. Should I branch out and rp for reasons other than my character hopping into another characters bed? Probably. Will I? Mmmmmaaayyyybeeeee.

Hello! I'm glad you found this little corner of the internet! Welcome to SARP!!! I met you on the Discord earlier, but I wanted to officially welcome you!

I am not staff, no, but I do like to help the best to my ability, even if that means referring you to an actual staff member. I go by Sparkee or Spark, so feel free to call me what you want (I'm open to new nicknames :3). I'm not a veteran by any means, but please come to me with any questions you may have and I will help you as best I can (I'm generally pretty knowledgable about the Wiki and Forum, but I don't know all of it, so I may have to refer you to someone else. I can at the very least try :)).

So a quick rundown on factions:

Yamatai is the main faction here, and has a lot of plots. Plots are basically different stories that are being roleplayed, and some correspond with one another, others are independent of the rest. It focuses on sleek, pretty, efficient, and tactical methods, and believes in getting the job right the first time. It has a deep history of war and peace, and is a great place to start. My first character was actually a medic aboard the Kaiyo GMed by Ametheliana (I would tag her, but I don't want to anger her). It's a great plot and everyone there is super friendly and welcoming (Most people on this site are. It's kind of like a big family once you become familiar with everyone).

Nepleslia is a very warfare-driven faction, and focuses on getting it done by any means necessary. They are the gritty, dirty faction and also one of the most fun in my opinion. My character for the 309th almost got his foot blown off by a mine on his first mission. So there is no end to the shenanigans and action there. I haven't RPed too much here, but I hear the Inquiry is a great plot to join if it's open (and you're 18 or older of course).

I'm not too sure about the Iroma and the other smaller factions, but just say the word and I'll hunt down their wiki pages for you so you can find out yourself! I didn't look into them when I first joined since I immediately connected with Nepleslia, then went to Yamatai since I wasn't 18 at the time. Every faction is fun and most plots are pretty active with friendly people.

My signature (the little space below a post) has my characters and the plots they're in, so feel free to check them out to get a feel for how a character should look and to do some research on plots you may want to join. I'll be active on Discord a bit, so if you're on and see me on, please don't hesitate to ask a question, and PLEASE call me if you want! I love talking to people!

Anyway, welcome to SARP! I know the Wiki is a bit overwhelming, but by your third or fourth character (or just some time browsing it if you don't want more than one or two characters) you'll have the hang of it. And like I said, PLEASE feel free to contact me with ANY questions you may have. If I don't answer right away it's most likely because I'm in lab doing some Baking and Pastry Arts stuffs, but I will get to you as soon as I get out to make sure you got what you need :). I am not staff either by a long shot, and have not received that honor, but like sparkee I try to help whenever I can. If you have any questions, issues, or concerns. I GM several plots, all of which the two of them are a mixed bag.

Now as for my faction which I briefly talked about on Discord and you already looked up. I run Section 6 with my three soon to be Co-FMs @IQ @Air Admiral and @HarperMadi . We do the crazy science, and make cool stuff while we search to build a new home, and maybe a better future. I'd love to have a character from you if you'd be willing to spare one. Also check out our list of gear, items, vehicles, weapons, ships, and armor we offer for commercial sale.

That being said, and my advertising out of the way. I do also recommend the plots offered by @club24 and @SirSkully as they are both quality GMs with fun stories to share. They also run a company called Galactic Horizons who make very sweet gear and cool tech like us.

I hope to write with you soon, and look forward to talking to you more. And as a side note, you are not the only person who is a sucker for a good relationship. I shamefully admit I am as well.

There's at least like a kajillion of these in Nepleslia; we got lots of cool things and tons of growing plots. But I'd recommend you just check it out yourself instead of here me rattle on. Welcome to SARP tho and plz enjoy hekkin danger noodle.

Thank you all for your suggestions for plots to join! I'll probably message some of yall individually later when I've had more of a chance to research the stuff your plots are about lolol. I'll probably take it slow at first to learn the lore before I jump in with more than one character o:
