On Monday, the Fujiko Development Corporation released the results of its first tri-annual population census. Likely the very first organized effort by the Nepleslian Reds to identify their population, it naturally conflicted with the more "freedom-minded" among them. There were reports of small riots breaking out in some settlements of Fujiko IV and Ukmirt II when the census recorders arrived to gather data. Local militias had to be used to calm down the individuals long enough to be reasoned with.

The primary function of the census is to determine the exact population composition of the Fujiko, Rufusland, and Ukmirt systems to tailor marketing. But the real gem within the census data is the show of species diversity within the Reds as of YE 44. Separa'Shans, Kodians, former NMX nekos, and even Helashios claim to be adherents to the local population's way of life.

The results are the following:

Fujiko: 9,507,000
- 9,250,000 Nepeslians (all identifying as Red)
- 200,000 Kodians (50% identifying as Red)
- 50,000 NMX Nekos (all identifying as Red)
- 6,000 Elysians (mostly Caesolians and Plebians, with 25% being Patricians) (80% as Reds)
- 1,000 various other species
Rufusland: 605,000
- 550,000 Nepeslians (90% identifying as Reds)
- 50,000 NMX Nekos (98% identifying as Red)
- 5,000 various other species
Ukmirt: 4,865,000
- 3,500,000 Nepleslians (75% identifying as Reds, 20% as independent, 5% as imperial)
- 750,000 NH-33 Nekos (98% identifying as imperial)
- 250,000 NH-31 Minkans (98% identifying as imperial)
- 200,000 Separa'Shans (60% identifying as Red, 35% as independent, 5% as imperial)
- 90,000 Helashios (90% as Reds, 10% as independent)
- 50,000 NMX Nekos (98% identifying as Red)
- 18,000 various other species
- 7,000 Elysians (mostly Caesolians and Plebians, with 10% being Patricians) (80% as Reds)

Total of 14,977,000 recorded individuals

Separa'shans arrived in mass due to the occupation of their homeworld in YE 40 and 41 through a combination of Red smugglers and common traders/miners/salvagers that had passengers working to pay off transportation away from the world. Most of the growth on Ukmirt came after Essia's liberation and a series of chain migration occurred by those looking to get away from Yamatai without actually leaving Yamatai.

Kodians numbers equal the Separa'shans, but prefer the heavy gravity and cold of Fujiko IV. When questioned on why they chose to migrate and live among the Reds, many of the responses had the theme of "exploration" and "natural market". A frontier region, there are plenty of opportunities to discover what might be still unrevealed as the Reds are not natural explorers. Kodians were also widely welcomed due to their expertise in both cybernetics and genetic engineering. A Kodian cyberneticist working on a Nepleslian's cybernetic arm is a common sight on the planet.

NMX nekos in mass did not mention the reason for the relocation to the region. It is suspected they found their way due to their inability to adapt to the mainstream Yamataian culture and had nowhere else to go. Over time, they came to found a reason to remain by being apart of with the communes of Ukmirt and paramilitary militias found through out the region.

Helashios are even more odd. While some are former slaves freed within Yamataian space, many are immigrants and distant relatives coming in from Nepleslian space. The Helashios seem to have adapted a hybrid of their ancestral way of life and modern lifestyle learned from their training. The availability of cybernetics "toys" also attracted a great many as well.

Elysians numbered the least, with a majority of Patricians reportedly being individuals that got tired of losing to Yamatai and did not want to live among what they considered a conquered people. Being part of Yamatai without being part of Yamatai, living among the Nepleslian Reds was better than the alternatives in their mind.

Another source of Patricians are scholars, philosophers, and theologians that thought they could improve the cultural status of the Reds through education. Many still try to this day with the majority reportedly going "native". Caesolians and what remaining Plebians coming from Nepleslians make up the majority however, attracted to the way of life and frontier nature of the region.

Lastly, an interesting fact is that the majority of Yamataians are found in the Ukmirt system. Likely due to both populations flocking to the planet when it was annexed in YE 39. Data also hints at specialization among Nepleslian clones, though exact data from the census is limited beyond the category of "heritage" being filled with a combination of letters and numbers for many Nepleslians claiming to be Reds.
