All across Nepleslian Space
Screens across Nepleslia go blank for the briefest second before “BREAKING NEWS: WAR!” flashes across the screens. They then change to a news anchor outside the Premier’s press room. “In mere moments the Premier is going to be giving an emergency address to the people. Wait… here he comes!”
The view changes to the Premier walking out to a raised podium. The room, previously full of reporters speaking in a hushed frenzy, fell silent as Gaelan Sanders’s eyes fell upon them.
“People of DIoN, I come to you today with urgent news. We are beset on all sides by the tides of war… As all of you know, a group known as the Kuvexians have chosen to invade the Kikyo sector. They wish to subjugate us. Subjugate everyone in this sector into their slaves. Yet, in our few encounters with them we have learned that these invaders do not wish to sully their hands. They throw their other slaves at us like waves on a shore line. We learned this from one of the races, the Elefirn, which we have fought and defeated in several battles.”
Gaelan’s face hardens as he seems to cast his gaze into every person’s eyes. “And yet this wasn’t good enough. They have chosen to step up their attacks against us. Our allies in the former Lorath lands have become besieged by pirates funded by these spineless creatures. They have beaten back the Yamatians from their holdings in the south, and we suspect they will target the Colonial Expanse next.” He said grimly.
“However, we will not let this stand! They have chosen to provoke one of the greatest military powers in the sector. So we will show them what happens when the Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia chooses to fully mobilize their forces. We will descend upon these fools like demons from the deepest depths of hell… We will fight them from our holdings and we will fight them back to their wretched lands.” Gaelan raised a fist and smacked it down on the podium with a resounding thud. “I, Premier Gaelan Sanders, am declaring war on Kuvexia and their underlings! Let the Triple Front War begin…”
The image cuts back to the reporter outside. “You heard from NNN first folks. It’s war! This reporter believes it is every Nepleslian’s duty to take up arms and fight these monsters. Head for your local recruiter’s office and sign up! “
