Crew Rosters

I think they should be more detailed.
  • What positions are open?
  • Current Location of the ship
  • Accepting/Not Accepting new characters?
These are a few that come to mind. Would be helpful for chargen, because I'm thinking of making a character in a main SA plot.
 
Sure, sounds like a plan. But what about restricted forums? The crew rosters wouldn't be viewable.
 
Why not have crew rosters for Sakura, etc be in another forum? Then you can post a link or something on the title.
 
So we came up with two solutions for this:
  1. Active plots are listed here - rosters should be on each plot wiki page or linked from it: https://wiki.stararmy.com/doku.php?id=guide:active_plots
  2. Openings and wanted character information is centrally stored here: https://wiki.stararmy.com/doku.php?id=guide:characters_wanted
Using these, you can get a feel of what RPs are open and who they're looking for. If you don't see something you want or if you have an idea not listed, feel free to ask the GMs directly.
 
When one of my PCs was finally given a squad of NPCs to use, I created a page with names, races, and other information as a group rather then creating several individual pages for each member of the team.
 
This topic does make me wonder how it was manage before the crew manifest was put up. Anyone wants to join my ship? Some people put up their hands but no body knows what was open, complete mystery
 
I think basically each ship had a crew sign-up thread and people posted their profiles in the thread.
