RP [Day 2] Down to Business

This... was a very strange turn of events. Still, orders were orders.

Kuroaki Isuzu said:
Incapacitate the senator and get her on a shuttle.

Once the guard outside was about her business, Isuzu ordered the rest of her team, with the exception of the NH-28s, into the hall outside. "Unfortunately, Eyfrlurpjakar, I believe we are both aware of how much actual much actual choice I have in this matter," she noted dryly, once the others had left. The NH-28s were about the best defence she could have, but they weren't much for conversation. "We can stay here for a short while longer, however."

Outside the conference room, the NH-27 raised her sidearm and pointed it at Roxanne, depressing the trigger to fire a scalar stun charge.

Aegis looked upon the situation as she was moved along with Roxane and the other senators, when Roxane made her request and stand, Aegis looked upon the situation in approval.

"You're going to allow Roxane to see the representative." Aegis spoke firmly, the mask of her 'Wind' suit making her voice sound devoid of much emotion. "I'll personally be responsible for her safety, and if you even dare to physically harm us, I will seize my right to self defense and turn this entire fiasco into something far worse than it has to be... Both Roxane and I are ST'd, and can be revived in the event of this mess becoming something outside of our control... So, I repeat, move aside and allow Roxane and myself through." Aegis however was interrupted as the shot was made on Roxane, which she quickly moved her own powersuit clad body to block. The stunning effect was dispursed through the armor, yet it still caused Aegis' focus to turn to a mostly muddled haze. "Let, her, through." Aegis stated firmly as she moved to prevent Roxane from being taken away.

Acting quickly, the NH-27 backed away a step to take a bead on Aegis. She received an armored fist in the jaw for her trouble, as the Lorath warrior attempted to sieze her gun, but the Neko managed to get them both with her second shot. Unaffected, the NH-27 made sure Aegis was good and stunned while another one of the guards leaving the room moved to secure Roxanne. "I'm sorry senator, but by Imperial Order, the station is to be cleared," the guard appologized, as the security team hauled Aegis and Roxanne away and the blast shutters began to close, to prevent further intrusions.

Melisson frowned. "Sacrifices could have salvaged much." She slowly stood up and looked to Isuzu - her wine-red eyes bored into the other's. "Will you relay a message for me?"

"Tell them that it is not too late to surrender, but that it is too late to harm the Mishhuvurthyar. They will be forevermore beyond your reach," Melisson said. "Your empire now enjoys the calm before the storm. I was the one beacon of hope you had before Reiaz' whims would be unleashed. If my demands are met before the appointed time, I will intercede."

Melisson left a silence and then asked: "Do you have any questions for me?"

Isuzu just shook her head. "If I asked you them, I'd never hear the end of it," she reasoned aloud, her voice slightly ironic. "I can deliver this message, however; I'll probably be made to deliver it many times before I'm done."

"Better that than to have tried to forcefully subdue me," Melisson said as she turned away to look at the conference tables. "You may keep the clothing I wore; I hear they were of elvish make - perhaps it would look good on you."

...and suddenly, with a flap of falling clothing, Melisson was gone. It was like she just... ceased to exist.

What on...? "Full scans of the area, now!" Isuzu hastily ordered the two nodal weapons as she conducted her own inspection of Melission's 'remains' using a portable scanner. Impossibly, she couldn't find any trace in the Interpreter.

"Central, this is Conference Area security. Melisson has escaped. The entire section is currently under lockdown, but she just... vanished. Remaining at station and awaiting further orders." Finishing her transmission and closing the channel, Isuzu moved a bit closer, but didn't touch the clothes. Well... I guess I'm not dead. That's good, right? she told herself, idly wondering if she'd actually be allowed to keep the clothes. They really did look nice...

Judgement sighed softly as all of the commotion happened all around her. Every government official had been immediately rushed to their ships, but she had remained seated, watching it all happen. If she died this day, there would be a great loss, but just as someone from any other government would step up to fill a loss, so would hers.

As the Crown Prince, his assistant, and then the Nepleslian men disappeared, Judgment slowly got to her feet and bowed to their seats with hands folded upon each other. Then turning to where Melisson was sitting, she smiled and gave thought to offering what the Nepleslians called "A handshake", like the one the odd male had given her. But with the bursting in of all the security personel heading straight for the SMX interpreter, she just sighed and offered the same nodding bow. Then, she too was swept off to some unknown location, where she could only hope the Hand of War would join her.

Maysaki sighed as she shuffled herself behind the group that also consisted of two unconscious senators. She would have joined Roxxy-poo however Maysaki needed to get "her" small weapon. Namely she had to nab it off a table from a unexpecting security person.

Seeing the two senators stunned, though, Maysaki's brow twitched in a agitated way. "Leave them, you damn brutes... This SMG here was never meant for Melisson." She warned to them before pointing to the shuttle port they would take.

As it would so happen the same shuttle they came on in. Funny that.

Pisces Station said:
Security Please clear the conference area and begin any clean up required. Return station status to normal.

Warning klaxons blared as the blast shutters sealing the concourse began to open again. Inside the conference room, Isuzu checked in with central security to make sure that new guards were being routed to replace then ones that had been sent to escort the senators, but for the moment she found herself alone with the two fearsome NH-28s that she'd kept to escort Melisson.

Staring at those flat, impassive faces, she felt the strangest urge to walk up to one of them, pat it on the head and whisper 'gooood girl' in an adoring voice, but she resisted. Likely half the active monitors on the station were currently trained on this very room, and she didn't need to make herself look like any more of an idiot.

Forcing past her overcautious nature, Isuzu bent down to gather Melisson's clothes and directed one of the NH-28s to clean up the mess at Senator Ayana's station. Aside from those two things, the conference room was left in a very orderly state, considering what had just happened.

Logically, she knew that there probably wasn't anything she could have done to prevent Melisson from escaping, but she would still be facing some very angry people very soon- and not just her superiors. She'd ordered her team to shoot senator Kurokawa, and they'd ended up having to subdue senator Aegis as well. The aftermath of that wasn't going to be pretty.

After the conference room's PSC field was shut down, Isuzu sent a telepathic message to her teammates on the shuttle. *Cleaning up back here. Are the senators okay?* she asked sheepishly. She'd never been required to issue orders before, and most of her team was the same rank as her; it made her a bit uncomfortable.

Attaching the her own personal sense-memory of the confrontation with Melisson, Isuzu looked over her report one more time, adding a few finishing touches here and there. She'd given a concise rundown of the security measures that were in place in the conference area, the situational developments as she understood them, and the procedure they had followed in both the evacuation of the area and the attempted apprehension of Melisson- mostly, though, she let the data speak for itself. It wasn't her job to interpret events.

It was almost two hours after the 'incident,' and the concourse was finally starting to approach some degree or normality. Even a full station sweep hadn't been able to locate any trace of Melisson, but neither had it reported any other anomalies. Shifts had changed, the detail around the conference area was again complete and normal traffic through the area had resumed. Her shift was due to end soon as well, so Isuzu waited patiently at her station by the doors and sent the report to central security via a maximum encryption channel.

Thus far, she hadn't been pulled away to be dressed down for letting Melisson escape, but the potential for reprimand still loomed ominously in the future- and she still had to deliver the Interpreter's 'message,' too. It would have been mighty nice if Melisson had been a bit more specific about whom she was supposed to deliver it to; she’d assumed it was for Senator Kurokawa, but by context Melisson might have meant Prince Tio, or all of Yamatai, for that matter.
