Emrys expansion

Emrys industries is planning on expanding into the culinary industry, begining in the creation of several restraunts on Yamatai. There will be four varities of restraunts: Japanese, Itallian, Indian and Nepalese.

Emrys is also looking into the construction of coctail bars and pubs, but this is currently in the planning stages, with only a single cocktail bar open, in Kyoto.

More expansion details will be added later.

There are now four restraunts on Yamatai owned by Emrys industries. They are:

Jskita (Indian)
Pagoda no Uesureya (Japanese)
Kyoto (Chinese)
Ketsurui no Iori (Nepalese)

And the cocktail bar in Kyoto is running well.

Emrys industries has just released a new range of grenades:

Incendiary: These grenades spread a highly flammable and sticky gel in a 15m2 radius, which burns on contact with air at 17500o. It is a small black sphere with a red button on top, with the letter I stencilled onto one side. It explodes 5 seconds after the button is pressed.
Price: 75KS

Needler: When this grenade explodes it hurls out approx. 5000 minute needles in a roughly spherical area. The needles have a range of around 35m from the point of explosion. It is a small black sphere with a red button on top, with the letter N stencilled onto one side. It explodes 5 seconds after the button is pressed.
Price: 75KS

Ricochet: When this grenade explodes it projects approx. 1000 small metal balls in a roughly spherical area. The blast radius is around 20m2, and the balls ricochet off any objects they hit (so long as the object is sufficiently hard). It is a small black sphere with a red button on top, with the letter R stencilled onto one side. It explodes 5 seconds after the button is pressed.
Price: 75KS

High Explosive: This grenade explodes violently, creating a highly powerful blast with an effective area of 15m3 and an area of partial damage around 25m3. It is a small black sphere with a red button on top, with the letters HE stencilled onto one side. It explodes 5 seconds after the button is pressed.
Price: 75KS

Ketsurui no Iori (Nepalese)
Please note that civilians aren't allowed to be in Ketsurui no Iori.

The grenades look pretty good. ^_^
When this grenade explodes violently, creating a highly powerful explosion, with an effective area
this one could use some tweaking in the decription, though. It's redundant and the verb tense is off.

Some more stuff that came to me:

Potassium Spike Grenade: This grenade is a improved and more anti-personnel version of the standard Needler. It hurls out 2500 potassium needles that catch fire as they enter the body, reacting with the bodies water, the needles having a range of around 20m from the point of explosion. As such this is a horribly effective weapon against unarmoured or lightly armoured targets, but does not do the massive damage to property that other grenades can inflict. It is a small black sphere with a red button on the top, with the letter P stencilled onto one side. It explodes 5 seconds after the button is pressed.

Price: 75ks

Lying mirror:

This is a fascinating piece of furniture developed by Emrys industries. Actually it is not a mirror, but a very high detail screen, which usually displays the image of the person in front of the mirror, and the scenery around, as recorded by a series of cameras around the side, and indeed in the mirror. However there is also a processor in the computer, a powerful one, that can display images. The most common one is to make the person in the mirror to look more attractive, however it also has many other purposes, such as being used as a secret communication device (it also has an inbuilt radio transmitter and can be wired into other communication networks). The computer processor is actually semi-ai, capable of simulating sentience, and answering questions, and the natural giving of compliments and fashion advice. It has access to a great deal of information in its memory. The mirror tends to be full length mirror, with an ornate frame, but it can come in a variety of styles. The mirror is designed to be used by wealthy or important individuals, the high class, since there is little use for them in other situations.

Price: 3000 ks

Jewellery:

Emrys Industries decided to go into the Jewellery business, but just jewellery seemed dull and disinteresting, and so they incorporated micro computer technology into the jewellery. The standard usage has a high quality memory capacity, capable of storing a great deal of information, equal to several terabytes of data. This can be used to store data that is important to the person, or covert data carrying.

Another variety of jewellery contains a visual sensor, and a auditory sensor with recording functions. It records everything it sees and hears and stores enough capacity for a month.

A third type constantly scans the EM spectrum, detecting most forms of scans and communication.

These are in a great variety of jewellery: Anklets, armlets, bracelets, cuff links, earrings, hairpins, necklaces, chokers, rings, studs, brooches, chatelaines, tiaras, and a few others. Each of these come in a great variety of fashions and quality.

Price:

Storage: 100 ks (low quality design) – 1600 ks (very very high quality) (Some of the most amazingly good quality jewellery can get to 10,100 ks)
Recording: 300 ks (low quality design) – 1800 ks (very very high quality) (Some of the most amazingly good quality jewellery can get to 10,300 ks)

Detection: 400 ks (low quality design) – 1900 ks (very very high quality) (Some of the most amazingly good quality jewellery can get to 10,400 ks)

What kinds of jewerly are we talking about? Will this include things like, in the case of my new character, a small nose stud? What about other bodily peircings? Their interface is what?

(The 'stud' you spoke of I assumed was an earring?)

In most cases the interface is either by a very small hole in the jeweltry requiring specialised data transferal equitment (it's quite small and comes with the device), or by way of radio or laser communication downloading imormation through the link.

I would like to replace stud with body piercing in all its varieties. All are catered for.

I need the names of the independant Exstacy's before I can build a store there.

We'll get to it when we get that far, promise!

Edit: For reference, there are six already in the galaxy, which are already being overworked at their respective fleets. The Kyoto Clipper stays attached to Yamatai based fleets, but the other five are with various larger fleets. (I'll leave that to Wes) I don't think the html page is up for it yet? However the thread on it's details can still be found in this forum.

Six Ecstasy Class vessels have been built to date: The Ecstasy, Paradise, Kyoto Clipper, Rapture, North Wind, and the Yasashi.

Why is the Chinese restaurant named 'Kyoto'? That's almost as out of place as a Japanese restaurant named 'Nanking', and that one would be wrong on at least two levels.
