Kaoru arrived on the bridge, it was alive with activity with a full crew and various technicians that were still packing up the last of their gear. She stood just inside of the isolation doors and took it all in. The ship was truly impressive, and everything about what was happening brought her excitement. The pink and blue-haired Taisa heard one of the sprites call out, "Taisa on the bridge!" Kaoru took that for the queue it was and immediately headed up the platforms. "Duty stations please, finalization checklist is to be started. Please have these techs cleared," she ordered, eyes focused on the chair she had been waiting for the opportunity to occupy.

The Taisa lowered herself into the Command Chair and the SPINE initialized. It was such a rush, the sheer magnitude of information that flowed through that connection on this class of ship. It was almost high for her as she adjusted her posture in the chair. She began to sift through the projected screens working out an arrangement that made sense to her, she passed some to the side and dismissed others altogether. As she got comfortable her orders were carried out; the techs departed and members of the current shift which would not be her regular assignment took their places.

"Kaoru to Ayano, you all set over there?" she asked as she opened the link to Gemini.

Ayano appeared on one of the screens, "Almost set here, just adjusting the position of a few of your tugs and we will be ready. Standby." The Commander of Gemini Star Fortress responded and put the communication on hold.

The lighting on the bridge and consoles and illumination across the entire ship flickered as the YSS Tokyo switched from the external power of the Star Fortress and it's massive Aether Generators fired up to provide the ship with power. Airlocks were sealed, Hangars closed, and the external lighting on the ship's over twenty-kilometer long hull illuminated. Duty stations and departments rushed to finish checklists as that Kaoru's arrival on the bridge marked a change in the original schedule. The Flagship of the First Expeditionary Fleet was finally ready to leave port.

The entire ship jolted as clamps released and umbilical retracted into the hull. The last construction frame blew its bolts and drifted up and away from the frame of the ship. "Final Checklists are coming in." KAMI issued the information to Kaoru who was able to quickly double-check with her list. "All Hands, the YSS Tokyo is ready for departure. All Hands, the YSS Tokyo is ready for departure!" Himawari's voice, or rather KAMI's voice announced over the internal communications system.

"Good to go Kaoru, we're ready when you are," Ayano said when she returned to the communication.

The ten Asuga-Class Tugs deployed their graviton beam tethers and secured the Tokyo in their grip. That first initial pop from the last of the connections with Gemini was loud and could not be missed. The powerful aether drives of the tugs blazed as they pulled the Tokyo away from the terminus of Gemini's Tokyo Arm. Kaoru could feel as the CFS and other systems came online. She watched the projections and watched as they were brought to a safe distance from the Star Fortress. "We're clear. Thank you Ayano," Kaoru said as she cleared away the screen.

"Set a course for the First Expeditionary Fleet Staging Zone," Kaoru ordered. The Izanagi's sublight drives fired and the mighty, yet very slow ship turned and began to burn towards the Staging Zone at the edge of the System where it would join the rest of its formation.
