OOC Eucharis Discussion

Before I post again...how did the Eucharis locate a stealthed solar platform that could have been at any point in solar orbit in its altitude range and get through its defenses? The thing can spit solar flares at stuff.

...and it still can. Right now. >.>

Plot.

We don't want to spend another 10 pages looking for the thing.

It could also be explained that the Eucharis just happened upon it by chance. Although the odd's of it happening are astronomical, so was the Eucharis running into another SHIP IN FOLDSPACE

So I think the Eucharis has some form of luck when it comes to breaking astronomical odd

A better thing than dumb luck would be to say that Hanako had a hunch.

From the ESP Page said:
■ give characters precognitive thoughts, dreams, or visions as a plot device.
■ allow a character to be clairvoyant, anomalously knowing things that they logically should not (very rare).
Could be said that she just did not share them with the crew.

Also, her ship's computer is very, very good and she knows how to fully use it

Edited an earlier post slightly to indicate that he didn't know where the away team was going because of two reasons.

1. Sensors indicate that there is enough Lorath and UOC activity to point to there being no NMX-controlled Stellar Link Siphon there (he watches sensors whenever possible)

2. In his day, Stellar Link Siphons were not deployed around stars with populated planets because they drained the star of energy over millions or billions of years.

3. Not privy to bridge communications.

I've a request pertaining to this post.

Subject: [Mission 11.3] Back Into Chaos

Fiver is free to have his character behave the way he likes, of course, but the last phrase pertaining Yaichiro's ties with plums is not something he could have had known in-character.

I'd request it edited out, both to discourage metagaming and maintain suspension of disbelief. SARP is a quality and self-respecting roleplay that promotes such.

The requested edit should in no way ruin the point Micheal is trying to make.

Kyle told me to post here that his main computer is broken and he won't be able to post until it's fixed. He expects it to be fixed tomorrow or this weekend.

EDIT: Also, he told me to post what I'm about to on his behalf.

Thank ya Ben, I do appriciate ya posting for me since I couldn't log into the site on my laptop. I cleared the host file but somethign else is stopping me from logging in, regardless. Main Comp is back online! Now... I owe Nash a post..

Do you think we should abort the mission since we've now been compromised? This was supposed to be a stealth type mission.

The mission, and the teams safety, were compromised once Five's character opened fire (which I want to know how he even KNEW those turrets were going for them, it's not like Wes, THE GM FOR THIS PLOT, stated that those turrets were aiming at the team or getting ready to fire on them)

A draw of power to turrets can mean 'anything', doesn't always mean they are getting ready to fire.

We could still do the mission, but to be fair, Hanako never told the away team or Helen that the mission was an infiltration mission and that stealth is the key - thus meaning - no firing unless it's absolutely needed.

Aborting sounds prudent... stealth has been lost, now its get out safely and hope the Armor team can get back without being vaporized

Bitch at me for what Michael did all you want, I won't listen to your complaints seriously unless you voice them ICly. I still think that Michael was in the right.

And we're already on the station, so I say that we do what we came here to do instead of acting like a bunch of pampered southern belles and running away, crying and holding up the hems of our frilly dresses.

Excuse my rudeness, but I really don't appreciate the insinuation that I ruined an entire mission, nor do I appreciate being told that we're not good enough to do what we came here to do.

Fiver, you seriously need to make a better distinction between IC and OoC.

Right now, you're hardly making yourself a pleasant roleplayer to interact with.

Gabriel noted an inconsistency and is wondering aloud about it. Nashoba seems to be taking things very in-character. How about you stand up at the same standards, rather than going lower. Expressing yourself rudely really doesn't help you and you've been more than a little antagonizing lately.

I'm Sorry, Fred, But I'm not really smart enough to sit back and smile contently when Kyle goes and accuses me of metagaming.

Um... wait. A) if this is supposed to be a stealth mission, why was the Eucharis sent to do it and why were we not told that? B) Doc is a GM (and one in charge of the station itself, if I'm right), and said that it was pointing its guns at the ship. C) I've been ignoring the plot we're apparently conflicting with out of laziness, and Five's actions don't seem like metagaming to me. I know I'm his friend and all, but I do try to call my friends out when they do things that are wrong.

Havn't read anything about Helen noticing the turrets were pointed at them until 'after' Five's post.

Sorry, but I've been yelled at in the past for thinking that something is going to happen (By Wes by the way) without the Plot GM saying anything.

And Five, I already plan to address it IC. However, I still wanna know HOW Micheal 'knew' because it technically WAS metagaming that he knew something that ONLY Kumiko/Eucharis should've known. (Unless Wes or Nash say otherwise that is)

Edit: I stand correct, thank ya Nash.
