With the success of the 17th Armor wing's rescue mission to Taiie and the accomplishments of Alpha shift on solving the logistical problems left by the aftermath of the betrayal of Shosa Yoshike, the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet was free to complete the long awaited colonization of Taiie IV.
Taiie IV was a young world, caught between the Yamataian equivalents of the Silurian and Carboniferous periods ruled by a powerful ecosystem of evolving marine life and amphibians. Its seasons were long, the climate still in a state of flux. Taiie IV had all the right conditions for colonization; a atmosphere that required no terraforming, relatively stable seismic activities, and massive oceans.
The concentration of landmasses was a chain of islands and small continental masses along the equator. The site selected is within one of the small seas nestled between the small continental landmass of Inari and the island of Toggo.
At 21:00 hrs on the first day of YE 29, The Katsuko Colony Outpost made its descent from the CDC Hummingbird NL-X5-01 carrying with it 19,000 civilian colonists and the Outpost's standard compliment of military personnel.
The days to come would prove difficult as these brave souls would explore their new world and build a home for themselves.
