Irim's City, In Yamatai Orbit--Ships in the the Star Army's First Fleet could soon have new hull numbers painted on them. The admiral of the Star Army's First Fleet, Taisho Kessaku Irim, announced that she would be be reorganizing the First Expeditionary Fleet by downsizing it to meet Star Army's restrictions for fleet sizes, which were temporarily suspended for the Battle of Glimmergold in the Kuvexian War. The maximum size of a Star Army Fleet is supposed to be no more than 5,000 starships, but the First Fleet currently has more than that. Recently some 2,000 ship were reassigned from First Fleet to the Nataria Fleet Depot as part of the reorganization, where they will be assigned to other fleets eventually. It is unusual for starships to move across fleets and with all this re-organizing happening, the Star Army is planning to allow fleets to re-number ship Imperial Registry Numbers to match their current fleet.
