Walking through the quiet halls of the ever-growing city that the Iroma called Kyopelinvuori, the Aqueniss absorbed the silence surrounding her. The former ambassador found herself in a similar role now even though she was simply an assistant to Raytim, Viceroy of the Azorean Commonwealth. Her experience with extraterrestrial beings had someone proven herself qualified to represent her entire race again, and the honor would never feel like a burden for the middle-aged Azorean woman.
Her race's history with the Gartagen people was perhaps a bit complicated, and Aqueniss had been given the mission to attempt to amend past errors regarding their relationship. There was a Gartegan representative in the city named Redak Dies, so the hopeful Azorean had set out to meet with him. She had sent an official communique early to him requesting to meet him at his convenience. Hopefully, the Gartegan commander wouldn't keep a lady waiting.
She had foregone the typical gray skinsuit that most Azoreans wore for work duties with something more amiable. Her thin, light blue frame was covered with a black mesh dress that was weaved from the highest quality fibers available. The mesh was see-through only around her neck, upper chest, and back; while the rest was thick enough to cover her body modestly. The dress itself had long sleeves and trailed down to just past her ankles. Her hair symbiote was braided delicately and barely touched her shoulder blades.
Aqueniss continued walking down the hall; the sound of her footsteps being drowned out by the torrential downpour outside. It was as if the planet itself detested the existence of the city and yet could not uproot it with nature alone. She pondered on such things for a time before setting them aside to prepare herself for the mission ahead. Raytim had insisted on sending two Holy Warriors to accompany her, but having armed guards would definitely have been a bad first impression. Letting them wander the foreign city instead, the Azorean ambassador would hold this meeting alone and face to face with Redak.
