Nepleslian News Network Incident At Vordachibea and the Hyulughflar Massacre

Core Nepleslia, Nepleslian Space
We interrupt your daily scheduled airbike racing and gun exhibition shows to bring you an alarming incident report. The following images are not for those of squeamish heart... please, if there are children in the room, let them take their guns and go outside for the duration of this broadcast.

The footage cuts across millions of screens, both planetside and throughout the stars. All of them showcase the two familiar anchors of the NNN. Admittedly, the man seemed a bit squeamish and the woman was now smirking as she cleared her throat to begin.

"Good evening everyone. We're bringing you this emergency broadcast to alert everyone to an outbreak that occurred. Multiple ships reacted en force, so I cannot help but assure all of you that the situation is... probably under control."

The screen flickers, changing to the image of what appears to be some body camera from some local mercenaries. They appear to be running, shouting as some of them even slip.

"An excursion was made today by a group of morons rookies who hadn't learned much in school, it seems. This group or mercenaries, who have no survivors to even provide a proper name, had slipped through the blockade of the planet Vordachibea. Those of you out there who know this system know the dangers of why this system has been under lock and key, protected and cordoned off by a detachment of the NSN."

Pictures of fleets in orbit of the planet, with various Bison and older ships on their way to the end of their service life scattered about with a single Primus in orbot, flicker over the feed. The camera feeds keep playing, showcasing the mercenaries as they made their way across a beautiful landscape. One by one, the feeds were turned into blurs of pink and yellow with sprays of viscera before blacking out.

"It is believed, not confirmed, that these mercenaries had a ship stolen by these creatures. However, the NSN have guaranteed us that the problem was-... standby."

The feed goes dark, the NNN logo bleeping into view with a teddybear holding a Zen .45. This logo stays up for a few moments, before finally fading away to the image of a NSMC field reporter's camera, with multiple Hostile pilots firing their HPAR in bursts. The reporter appears to be wearing a VOID suit, their helmet firmly in-place.

"This is Jans Jenson, reporting from Hyulughflar! Deployed some time ago, we've been busy working to contain an outbreak of the Vordachibea! Reports suggest a stolen ship landed and brought handfuls of the beasts here! Reports of intelligent ones have been unverified, but the Vordachibea have been acting in unexpected attack patterns and-"

"On the right! Shi-"

One of the Hostiles turned, getting struck with a thick plasma round to the hissing and horrific combined laughter of the swarm of bouncing death balls in the edges of the camera. The feed interrupts as Jans turns and fires both cannons and the Marines yell back their own call of celebration as screams of micro-aliens fills the audio. The feed flickers away, showcasing the planet of Hyulughflar. A death count of civilians, military personnel, and even a Vordachibean counter continue ticking skyward.

This could very likely be quite the bloody incident if it had occurred on any other world, but SC-2 was only a trophy world. The feed turns back to the anchors, with the female anchor now absent and the pale-skinned man clearing his throat as he at last spoke.

"To anyone out there... we have received confirmed reports and warnings from the NSMC and NSN personnel investigating the incident. The ship had multiple escape pods that, upon finding the wreckage, have now been verified to be missing from the debris. I repeat..."

The Vordachibean have slipped the blockade. Report any suspicious behavior, missing pets or children to your local police station and government official. They are to be assumed extremely hostile and, if you have a firearm, you are advised to fire it until you are sure you have killed it two-times over. Once you have done so, run. Do not look back until you are safely indoors and have more ammunition or a phone to call for help.
