There's a lot of mentions of the microthrusters but where is the fuel stored? What is actually coming out of the thrusters? To me it sounds super dangerous since someone could put their fingers in the way of the microthrusters and get it blown off.
 
It's probably either ion or grav, like the Grav Lift technology. Having anything like a plasma flame would be silly at our tech level. It'll run off the same power that the biometrics does.

Edit: Whatever Nodal Support Bits use would probably be easiest.

You should change the article to reflect that then, thrusters conjures up an imagine of little rocket jets or air sprays coming out of holes on it.
