SANDRA KIN Tries Invading Scrapyard Again

Scrapyard System - Forces of the Kuvexian Interstellar Navy have launched a renewed attack on the Scrapyard Star System, bringing a large fleet of over 4,000 golden-hulled starships. Scrapyard, formerly known as UX-12, was one of the UX Series Star Systems charted by Ketsurui Uesu during his departure from Central Yamatai in YE 30. It is a strategic location on the outer rim of the Ketsurui Military Sector and is best known for Sakura Fleet Depot, a boneyard of hundreds of thousands of older Star Army of Yamatai ships that have been decommissioned. While the ships are not operational, it is possible that the ships could be repaired by the Star Army or by the Kuvexian Navy, making them a strategic asset. The Scrapyard System is defended by the Star Army and Cosmos Star Fortress, which returned to normal operations after being heavily damaged in the Second Mishhuvurthyar War, and by multiple squadrons of Star Army starships. The Kuvexians have already tried to take Scrapyard once in YE 40, and their attempt failed because of the actions of the crew of the YSS Sakura II. These heroic actions led to the depot being renamed in their ship's honor.

Scrapyard System - We are now receiving word that Cosmos Star Fortress has fallen. Unable to hold until reinforcements could arrive, the station fell victim to the overwhelmingly massive force set against it. It fought hard and took many Kuvexian ships with it, as well as working to destroy Star Army assets on Scrapyard so they could not be captured. Once Cosmos was nearly destroyed in the battle, and fearing the Kuvexians would try to capture the station, Chujo Hamada Nori ordered all hands to abandon ship and then personally activated the self-destruct.
