Personality: A person of great conviction and ambition; Kotori sees her existence as a life-long quest to improve herself and has a steely determination to prevail that makes her extremely spirited and resilient even in the face of disappointments and setbacks. - - Youngling born from NH-22M Test Type Nekovalkyrja Kôsuka.
- Began training to join the Ketsurui Samurai. Tutored by Chizuru Saya.
- Expelled from Samurai Training after three months on the grounds of her unwillingness to continue. Adopted by genecitist Karl Sylvester.
- Returned to the juridiction of SARA after seven months of living with the Sylvester familly in the Chiharu Star Fortress due to glaring misbehavior and failure to adapt to civilian society (refusal to change for a yamataian body and attempted rape of her foster father).
- Joined the Star Army of Yamatai and undertook the 6-month long Star Army Basic Training (Combat Arms specialization).
- - Completed basic training with suitably high enough scores to allow for additional training in another occupation. Reapplied to be schooled in the Starship Operation occupation.
- Completed Starship Operation occupational training another six months later. Applied for an active tour of duty.
- Temporarely served on the YSS Mikomi (NS-X1-95) before being transfered to the YSS Sakura (NG-X1-360).

- Communication: Kotori is fluent speaker of Japanese and English; she can read and write both ably. As a nekovalkyrja, she also has an innate ability for long-range telepathic communication. Her training acquainted her with the basics of radio operations/transmissions and she can make use of headsets, starship, power armor and shuttle communication device both in combat and non-combat condition. She is well versed in military protocol and can easily dispatch reports, forms and orders under short notice; and even under duress.
- Domestic: Her time at her foster home allowed her to learn about something about how to maintain a household. She learned how to cook oriental meals along with a few of the more mundane Nepleslian meals and knows something about personal grooming and hygiene - she actually makes a fair barber and has picked bits and pieces of how to tailor, as long as she is assisted by the PANTHEON to design garments.
- Fighting: Kotori is a spritely fighter whom practices the Sora-Mai nekovalkyrja flying combat style - favoring it for it's mix of gravity-enhanced strength and finesse all wrapped into one. She is also competent with Star Army-issue sidearms such as energy rifles, pistols, knives, grenades and, thanks to her early samurai upbringing, the wakizashi and the katana. Kotori is ambidextrous and can use either hand (or both) with ease and has a natural knack at parrying - even to the point of deflecting ranged attacks.
- Fighting (Psychic warfare): Shortly after she was born in her NH-22M body, Kotori was introduced to training sessions to hone her mind both to serve her as armor and weapon. She mastered the basics of psionic combat (emotion reading, thought reading, mind shielding and brute psionics) but left the Ketsurui Samurai before she could learn more advanced psionic techniques such as any form of kinesis. Since switching to her new NH-29S body, Kotori no longer seems to have access to offensive psionics.
- Fighting (Power Armor): While competent in using all the other armors of her size which works with the Kessaku OS (Mindy, Kylie, Harpy and Daisy) her proficiency at Sora-Mai makes her particularly stand out in space combat most of all. She doesn't fare as well in suits which do not allow for a nekovalkyrja's mental interface (such as the Super Phalanx). Due in part to her combined Ketsurui Samurai and Star Army Combat Arms training courses, her knack for using twin weapons and parrying; Kotori is most comfortable using the M2-2 Mindy nekovalkyrja power armor.
- Knowledge: While her rapid rise in rank did not allow Kotori to be very well versed in the history of the Yamatai Star Empire as she would like, she is currently studying to correct that oversight to her current assignment. She did pick up some bits about the laws of the Empire, but she is far better versed in the military laws and courtesies of the Star Army of Yamatai.
- Leadership: Kotori's experience on the YSS Sakura as its executive officer went a long way into helping her understand how to command a starship. When in command, Kotori is cool and collected, capable of delivering out swift, crisp orders. This crispness sometimes backfires on her, though, as her crew occasionally follow her orders while not being privy to the context she had in mind for them.
- Mathematics: Kotori's base memory data includes basic mathematics training such as algebra and trigonometry.
- Medical: Kotori knows some first-aid and also possesses a self-taught proficiency in chiropracy and massotherapy.
- Technology Operation: Kotori is a multi-talented jack-of-all-trades when it comes to starship operations. She has extensive knowledge in how to pilot a non-capital starship, use its communication array and to properly operate with its Kessaku Electronic systems. Furthermore, Kotori interacts with artificial intelligence very well, allowing her to enter and process information much faster for any tasks from searches to having it assist her to automate ship functions. A good deal of Kotori's performance when piloting the Mindy power armor lies in her teamwork with the unit's AIES onboard quantum computer.
