Gemini Star Fortress - Eucharis Arm

Outside Docking Area for YSS Lorrheim III

The Star Fortress was buzzing with activity as ships finished loading cargo and prepared to join the other ships at the staging area. Several crew members for YSS Mazu, which had already made for the staging area awaited the shuttle for their transfer. At one of the docking stations along the Eucharis Arm Chui, Ellie Vixx stood in front of Shosho Motoyoshi Taro in complete panic. "I don't, I just don't know! Are you sure your crew opened the right container? The logistics log shows that it was transferred to your ship," the anthro-fox's ears shifted back and her tail swished as she paced back and forth in front of him, the datapad in her hand.

"Yes, Vixx-Chui, we opened that container and all it had in it were spare parts for a Hoshi III Arether Engine. Something must have gone wrong, logistics must have made a mistake," Taro said, annoyed that she had accused his crew of being the ones to make the mistake. "I would hunt it down though, that or Taisho Ketsurui-Motoyoshi is going to be some angry when she gives the order to launch and that station just sits here," he warned. Port Jiyuu was one of the fleet's biggest assets and the refit with the new hyperspace drives had taken months to repair. The whole mission was at risk to be delayed now.

Ellie shook her head with a sigh, "I will find it but I am just --. " she paused and noticed the crew members waiting for transfer to the YSS Mazu and other destinations in the fleet, she lifted a paw and gave them a wave in her direction, "Hey! Can you help us? We got a problem here that might delay the fleet. I'd be forever grateful if you saved my fur from the Taisho!" she called out and beckoned them over. She looked at Taro, the Shosho just gave a shrug of his shoulders and watched to see what the group would do.

Yue whistled a Midnight Infinity Tune as she entered the area. The blue skinned girl had just come from another part of the ship where she needed to deal with something for the adventure when she was accidentally waved to and her attention caught. “Oh! Looks like someone needs some Yue care” She thought as she moved over. “Sure, I’d be happy to help save Furs! What's up?’ She asked her. She thought the Fox Anthro had nice fur,but stopped herself from touching or reaching out. Her tail swayed behind her as she waited to see what the Fox needed. She noticed the Mazu crew still standing there, and her mind went to her other aunt, Akina, and Kaoru, before she remembered the idea of a tune she’d had and locked that away for later as this was more important.

Alina waited with the group of crew members who were to be transferred to the YSS Mazu, things seemed to be going pretty well so far when she noticed an anthro beckoning. The clerk thought it made sense to offer whatever assistance she may be able to provide, seeing as a potential fleet delay was involved. It would behoove her to help as she was the clerk of one of the Taishos involved in the imminent event. Slender pointed ears twitched as the urge to be productive flowed through her. She made her way over to the woman following shortly behind the blue skinned girl, "Hi, my name is Alina and I am a clerk. So if there is anything I can do to help I will do so to the best of my ability. What is it you need assistance with?" she chimed in after the other girl.

Savannah’s furred, Neko-style ears twitched as they registered the notes of panicked conversation transpiring a few meters away from where she was standing. A frown came over her features as conflict emerged when one voice seemed to point fingers towards the other. Although she specialized as a Combat Systems Operator, Savannah didn’t like conflict and it pained her to hear it happening between two superior officers, one who was a Leader of the Motoyoshi Clan.

Accordingly, the diminutively-statured Nekovalkyrja didn’t hesitate when the Anthro called for assistance. She walked over to the scene just behind Shanui-Hei, her gaze briefly taking in the statuesque Norian’s pale white mane, before registering the attentive twitch of her ears. She glanced towards the blue-skinned Minkan who had arrived to assist as well, particularly her digitigrade lower body. Savannah idly wondered how fast she could run!

“I’m happy to help as well.” Savannah piped up after Alina and Yue. “I’m Savannah Madsen, Bridge Cadet.” The tiny Nekovalkyrja added, her lips curling upward to form a soft smile.

Ellie was out of sorts, the Chui was really worried about the mix-up. There was a limited amount of time she had to get this fixed, "Oh, hi. I know you're all waiting for a shuttle so I will call you when it is ready. What I need though is some people to do some leg work. There has been some kind of mix-up with some parts for the new hyperdrive installed on Port Jiyuu. They came in from..." she stopped herself, "Nevermind that, the point is they were checked in here on Gemini. I'd go look myself but I'm far too busy with all these ships and people coming and going," she said in an almost distraught panic, her fluffy tail lifted high and swaying as her nerves just felt twisted.

She looked down at her datapad, "Last person to actually see and inventory the parts.....was...hmmm... Joto-Hei Kurahashi Atasuke. She is a logistics person and can be found generally in the main cargo bay in Gemini-Core. Perhaps she will know where they are. I'd message but this is something I need actual eyes on, can you all go down and see if she knows?" The fox knew it was going to be a lot harder than a conversation to figure out where the parts were, but she had complete confidence in the group gathered before her.

"Hmmn..." she hummed, "Anything else you all want to ask me before you go? Make it quick though, I have things to do!" she questioned after a brief narrowing of her gaze toward the Rear Admiral that was still standing there resting up against the airlock that led to his ship. Taro remained just in case he could provide any help if they asked for it.

Yue smiled as she was not the only one to join and help Ellie with her issue. She felt honored to stand there with all these brave soldiers of their military. Especially as they would all be working together to help with something for Port Jiyuu. “Nice to meet you both! I’m Motoyoshi-Igarashi Yue!” She said to the girls who decided to join her to help look for the part. “Oh! Hi Uncle Taro’ she said to her uncle before she got serious.

“Joto-Hei Kurahashi Atasuke, goodness I was actually just there where she was. I can lead us back to her, ” she said, feeling displeased due to the mix up. “Which specific part is missing?’ she asked Ellie as she thought that if she knew what actual part was missing it would be easier. to tell what they were looking for. Yue knew what goes in a engine quite well due to learning it from her mother, and from her experience creating the Daikoku.[/b][/b]

Savannah offered the blue-skinned Minkan friendly wave, before shifting her attention back to the Fox Anthro as she gave out her directions. Taking a brief assessment of the two women with her, Savannah processed that Alina was a Clerk, which might be useful if they needed to go through any records. While Yue was a civilian, she was a Jōmu of Yugumo Corporation. Accordingly, Savannah gauged that the Minkan would possess the technical expertise identify and isolate exactly what parts were missing.

“Are there any inventory records available that we could look over?” Savannah asked. “I think Shanui-Hei will be able to help in that capacity.” The cyan-haired Nekovalkyrja added, giving the statuesque Clerk a trusting smile as she did.

Alina greeted Yue in a bright, cheerful manner without acting unprofessionally as she was in uniform, "Hi! I am Alina Shanui. It is a pleasure to meet you as well.". A sharp nod of acknowledgement directed towards the officer candidate seemed appropriate to note her presence and status, "Shoi Kohosei," she said formally. The Santô Hei listened raptly to Ellie's words of import. A refreshing change of pace to have a mini journey in advance of the one they were about to embark upon. While she did not know much about hyperdrive parts, she had become quite efficient at tracking things down. So perhaps her experiences with that, sprinkle some leg work in and together they just might find what was missing. Questions formed in her mind while the other two women talked, however, that narrowed glance at the Shôshô did not go amiss as her violet eyes flicked over to him.

Attention drawn back to Yue by her statement of previous location brought her focus back to Ellie and the two women. "That would be very helpful!" she said to the blue skinned Minkan. "Ellie do you know if it is possible the container you received might have gotten swapped with the one that posses the parts you need?" she inquired of the Anthro. Her eyes moved back over to Taro, "Shôshô pardon my interruption, but do you have any advice for us in this endeavor?" she asked reverently.

Ellie looked down at the datapad in her hand and scratched the back of her head briefly, "Kurahashi-Hei should have all of those records, I mean I have them just..." she thought for a minute and removed the redacted portion of the origin of the parts to maintain the security about where they had originated. "I have passed the files to you, Shanui-Hei, the rest of your help should come from fleet logistics tell Kurahashi-Hei it is her ass on the line," she gave a bit of an impatient look at the three comrades. "Some controller assembly for the Main Control Module, I think three of them," she said as she read over what little information there was. The point was, she didn't know what crate the other parts would have been swapped from.

The inventory data was minimal due to the origin of the parts being from the experimental propulsion lab for Yugumo Corporation at Nemesis Bastion, a place the people in front of her would not know.

Shosho Motoyoshi gave a slight shake of his head, "Sorry, I can't help you. However, while you're looking for missing things. A standard-issue duffle bag with some very important personal items of mine didn't seem to make it onto my ship. The bag is should stand out, it has a fob connected to the zipper with my clan logo on it. If you see it somewhere, bring it back to me. I will make it worth your while. No, we need these parts figured out so get a move on, you're dismissed," he said, as he wanted to escape from Ellie's nervous pacing and stressing.

"Oh, if you don't know your way around, just as Gemini - she will get you where you need to be!" Ellie advised them.

Yue felt pleased as Alina acknowledged her helpfulness. She knew this was a serious matter, but she began thinking she could make new friends, non-motoyoshi friends though they were still in the military. She also thought these two girls would be on the Mazu which meant they’d be working for three of her favorite people, namely Kaoru, Kazumi, and Akina.

Savannah and Alina were the names of her new companions and potential friends. It pleased the blue Minkan that they each could help the other, and she especially felt pleased that she could please Katsuko by helping with Port Jiyuu. Yue had decided to also put in a good word for them to Katsuko too. Yue also listened as Ellie spoke about the parts, and widened her eyes at the recognition of the parts that were missing. Her Uncle Taro seemed to be missing a duffle bag too. “I’ll keep a lookout, Uncle Taro!” she said like the good niece she was.

Seeing that Alina had her work cut out for her, Savannah shifted her attention to Taro as he spoke, almost losing herself in his sharp, masculine features in doing so. Nevertheless, the cyan-haired Nekovalkyrja quickly shook her head and replayed the Admiral’s last words in her mind. While it went without saying that Taro’s bag was second priority compared to the missing hyperdrive parts, Savannah was determined to retrieve them both, if possible.

“Thank you, Shôshô, Chui.” Savannah said, offering both of the officers a pair of bows in the process. “We will get this situation under control.” She added, trying to push some authority and confidence into her tone.

With that, Savannah looked to Alina and Yue, before turning to lead the way towards the main cargo bay. All the while, Savannah flashed a wireless transmission to the station’s AI. //Gemini, directions to the main cargo bay from my present location, please.//

Alina listened to the Chui's words, every detail burned itself into her memory noting that they had also been passed to her datapad. This quite obviously was an important task with not a lot of time alotted. "Thank you Chui, I will pass along the message of significance and haste as well." she said calmly noting that Ellie seemed impatient. It would not serve her to get worked up, her calmness an asset in this scenario especially. While the anthro may not have known what crate the other parts may have been swapped from, the person they were on their way to see might know, so it would be worth keeping in the back of her mind.

She dipped her head respectfully in acknowledgment of the Shôshô's dismissal, a mental note taken to keep an eye out for the bag as described. If they found it in the course of given task, it would be returned to Taro. It was clear he wanted to be done with the situation post haste. Quietly and quickly the white haired norian moved to follow Yue and the Shoi Kohosei. The faster the missing parts were found, the better.

Gemini Star Fortress

Eucharis Arm to Core Cargo One

Gemini made the trip to the main cargo bay a quick one. She had them follow a series of ques through the heart of the station. The trip took less than ten minutes thanks to the light rail system.

Cargo One

The Main Cargo Bay of the Iori was like anyone could expect, cranes and mechanical arms moved Standard Shipping Containers from stack to conveyor belt, ranging in size from the small which the parts had been packed into, to the much larger containers. The conveyor belts moved cargo along the arms of the Zodiac to the various docking facilities so that they could be easily loaded onto the ships that were in port. Things were busy, but the sounds of frustration came from the small office inside of the bay used by Star Army Logistics.

Atasuke, a red hair, and green-eyed Nekovalkyrja were there as they had been informed, but she appeared to be alone. The station was stretched thin with all the ships coming and going at the same time. It was a crunch. Inside the office, a trolly had tipped with several open "desk" sized crates filled with duffle bags. The duffle bags were all over the place and Kurahashi-Hei was in the middle of it, a rather sad and disappointed look on her face, she said to herself, "I told them this would fall off the conveyor, I told them," she huffed as she struggled to sort through the rather large pile of bags. Between the cargo errors, both minor and major her day had been horrible so far.

"Oh!" she said as she turned and saw the trio, "If you're here for lost luggage...I can't help you!" She said as she had the stations PANT-IES recalling the coded tags on each of the bags as she tried to re-sort them.

Green-hued eyes searching intently across the cargo bay, the Savannah led the way through the area's bustle of activity, while trying her best not to get in the way of any of the harried-looking Logistics Specialists. Before long, she found her way to the office, at which point she took a relieved breath which came before seeing the fallen trolley and its scattered load of duffel bags. At that point, the Nekovalkyrja’s eyes immediately went wide as they quickly scanned the pile for Taro’s lost duffel bag and its distinctive fob, in the hopes of locating it.

"Oh!" she said as she turned and saw the trio, "If you're here for lost luggage...I can't help you!" She said as she had the stations PANT-IES recalling the coded tags on each of the bags as she tried to re-sort them.

“Oh! I apologize for the intrusion, then. I’m Cadet Savannah Madsen.” Savannah said, after glancing up from the pile of bags. “I admit, one of the things we’re searching for is a lost duffel bag with an attached fob that has a Motoyoshi Clan logo on it, but there’s something else which is a bit more pressing that is the main reason we’re here.” Savannah began, prefacing her next words with a brief intake of air. “We’re looking for some missing parts meant for the new hyperdrive on Port Jiyuu.” She continued. “Shanui-Hei has the manifest files right here.” Nekovalkyrja added, before lightly gesturing towards the taller Norian.

Yue waved a final goodbye to her uncle with a cute smile on her face. Savannah asked Gemini for directions as Alina spoke to Taro before Gemini sent them directions. As time passed the area began to get familiar to her, and she discovered that she’d had gone the long way previously. Yue started feeling like she was blushing from embarrassment when she could have taken a shorter easier path. Now in the area, like Savannah she searched for her uncles dufflebag, and like Savannah she found it potentially as she saw the tags, so while Savannah and Alina dealt with the other major issue, she moved to check the dufflebags. “would it be ok if I look?’
she asked. Though Yue was a Motoyoshi, it was always polite to look.

Gemini Star Fortress - Core Cargo One

The trip from Eucharis Arm to Core Cargo One went quickly, which Alina was immensely grateful for. Violet orbs took in the chaos surrounding the group and noticed a rather frazzled Nekovalkyrja. She followed Savannah coming to stop just behind her on the left side. Her gaze took notice that the women with her had already begun searching for Taro's bag. She momentarily looked around as well hoping to spot it before turning her attention back to the redhead. "Hello, I am Alina Shanui. Chui Ellie Vixx sent the files to me." she pulled out her data pad and brought up the files. "I hate to add more stress to what you have going on right now, but she asked that I emphasize the import of haste in this matter." she said carefully as she prepared to show information as necessary.

Atasuke couldn't help but laugh, "Oh yes, the bag of one Shosho Motoyoshi Taro, how could I not know about that - he has only called down here about fifty times since his ship docked. It is his fault we're in a mess here! If he had been patient and let the team -" she didn't go any further as she realized the last thing she needed was to be dragged in front of the flag officer. "I will tell you what, you three clean up this mess and sort these bags into the crates they need to go into, each is by ship and the tags are registered with Gemini's PANT-IES, you do that and I will take a look at this manifest," she offered, "Deal?" It was the only way the resourceful logistics officer could think of to get what she needed to do and help them simultaneously.

"Send me the manifest?" she said ad he stood up. "How did you all get roped into this anyway?" She could tell they were serious, "Hyperspace drive parts, hmn..." she said as she considered. She held her hand out so she could take the pad.

Savannah glanced down at the mess of bags and crates, her digital mind quickly processing the scene before her. The task seemed quite straightforward and after looking at her companions for assent, the short-statured Nekovalkyrja nodded and offered Atasuke a grateful smile.

“Deal.” Savannah answered. With that, she quickly committed herself to the task, starting by lining up the crates into a neat row with their labels facing the group for easy reference, before sorting out the bags themselves.

"How did you all get roped into this anyway?"

“We were voluntold.” Savannah said, though it wasn’t technically true. She knew that she could have just ignored the Chui’s request like most of the others who had been waiting for the shuttle, but the truth was that she would have felt bad about doing that.

Yue frowned as Atuke laughed before speaking of her uncle’s conduct. She made a mental note to mention to her uncle about the trouble he was causing her poor team. She thought she didn’t want to cause problems, though. “I’m sorry about my uncle’s impatients” she told the other much older woman. “Oh! I’m sorry, I’m Motoyoshi-Igarashi Yue” she said, before adding “unlike my companions who I really hope to be friends with, I’m just a civilian who got lucky enough to help. So I don’t mind helping with the mess here, ” she said as she got right to work, working close beside Savannah.

It had bothered her before, but now, she felt better about wearing clothes. This was because of the temperature in the cargo area felt a bit chilly. She suspected it would have been worse had she not. At Atasuke’s question, she blinked as Savannah said they were voluntold to help. “I was heading to the Mazu during my break cause I wanted to visit my cousin, and auntie. I also was thinking of visiting my cousin's friend, who was one of the ship’s sprites. uh I think she’s a caretaker? Anyway, I found some recipes that I thought she might find useful. But when I was in the area, I saw there was a frantic talk and felt I should check it out to see if I can be of help. And you know the rest, teehee,” she said as she finished speaking. Yue went back to work, as she didn’t want to leave Savannah, and eventually Alina, working alone.

Gemini Star Fortress - Core Cargo One

Alina listened as Atasuke spoke about the situation, the woman was indeed swamped with work. When she saw Savannah look towards her she gave a nod of assent to help with the task at hand. Even if voluntold was not the word she would have used, there did not seem to be much of a reason to publically contradict her. It made sense to her that they help with what the neko needed and in turn the neko woman would see what she could do to help the trio. With a sense of urgency the data pad was handed to Atasuke so that she could do what she needed to find the parts. Once the data pad had been handed over the norian got to work with her companions. In a friendly manner she looked over to Yue without halting work "What kind of recipes were you referencing earlier?" she asked curiously.
