Team Two - NMX Escort - Outside of Bridge
As seconds ticked by, Helen's breathing steadied, her body felt greatly better, but, there was still a distinctive twinge of fatigue which was beginning to set in. She let out a sigh, knowing it would be stupid to remove her helmet, so she instead dipped her hand into her buttpack to pull out a Type 29 'E-Type' ration package. She did not even bother to remove it from the package, as her hemosynthetic tissues upon her exposed chest shifted and parted, forming a horrific improvised mouth that opened to her esophagus which she shoved the ration package into as she listened to the communication line. It is time to get back to work, your break is over. Helen thought to herself, before she sent a reply; "Akemi, I'll be right there."
Helen did not even try to walk at that point, it would be a foolish attempt that would tax her knitting tissues too much. Instead, she took to a swift hovering flight, which was faster to begin with. She skimmed along the deck, over fallen Rippers, as she soon found her way to Akemi, kneeling down beside her as she dipped her hand into the buttpack of her armor to retrieve her medkit again. She set it down beside Akemi, before she leaned over the fallen Nekovalkyrja. "I need you to hold still, but be ready to shoot at anything that comes at us, got it?" Helen instructed the Itto Hei, as she assessed the situation.
Damn it, now this is why I keep this armor... Helen thought silently, as she looked upon the breach in the torso of Akemi's armor, and Akemi as well. She slipped her hand beneath Akemi, to feel the back of her armor. Finding no breach in the back, she concluded that the round must have stopped within the armor, and more than likely, was still wedged in Akemi somewhere, and she did not have the time, or the equipment, to go fishing in Akemi for the slug... more so, if it was possibly unexploded ordinance, which would have been far safer to keep in the cushioned confines of Akemi's flesh, as opposed to fumbling about in removing it with a power armor clad hand.
A steadying breath came from Helen, there was a minor problem in treating Akemi, one which she was not about to advertise to the nekovalkyrja... she had already used up the contents of the hemosynth container to mend her own injuries. In this situation, Helen had to improvise, she was just thankful that Akemi was enclosed within a power armor. She pulled a hypospray injector out from the medical kit, before she went to work on making Akemi battle-ready, long term survival was another matter all together, and she knew that the NH-29 body was well built to endure the long term, she could not argue that matter in the slightest.
"I'm going to give you some medicines to help you get back on your feet, understand?" Helen spoke, keeping Akemi apprised of the situation, as she quickly went about slipping the head of the injector into the breach of Akemi's armor so she could get to her flesh, without removing Akemi's helmet. Her work was quick at that point, swapping drug cartridges in rapid succession. A local pain reliever came first, followed by an anti-inflammatory, then a disinfectant, and with a topping touch from the injector, Helen administered a stimulant... she needed Akemi on her feet, she had more of a chance of surviving on her feet, than on her back.
As her hands quickly worked with the injector, and soon a clamp which she used to pinch together Akemi's wounded flesh, she used her authority as a Shosa to interact with Akemi's Mindy. She knew that the Mindy had fifteen days worth of nutrients and a lovely load of hemosynth on-board as well. They were not going to be deployed for fifteen days, that much was clear, so that left Helen to instruct the system to increase the administration of nutrients, as well as instructing the Mindy to pump hemosynth into Akemi's body. She hoped that it would be enough to patch her for the duration of the mission. With that phase of work complete, and a clamp in place pinching Akemi's wound together, as she soon began to work on suturing the wound... all the while, Helen kept her Kylie's skin vision active, watching for any unwelcome interruptions to her work.
