In the north western quadrant of the Poku Saeruo Degonjo territory a point in space suddenly flared and expanded into a swirling vortex of energy. It was the exit point of a wormhole created by a starship. A moment later a Yome Nuiqai-Class Ship emerged from the vortex. A sphere of charged particles surrounded the ship trailing a glowing wake behind. The sphere dissipated as the shields that protected the ship during transit were turned off. A moment later, the wormhole collapsed on itself leaving the starship alone in the void. Purple glowing energy appeared from the engines mounted astern and the ship began accelerating.

On the bridge Tin-Ta’a Qaedal Aaeas sat at his station in the Overwatch he felt the slight uncompensated acceleration as the Yome got underway. He enjoyed the Overwatch because of the vantage it gave him to observe his crew.

His second in command, Toidorno Sejgui stood to his left monitoring the data coming into his datapad. “The Tinvyma Movidoanor has been secured Sar. All sections report fully operational” Qaedal looked at Toidorno and smiled.

“Excellent once we are far enough away from the last wormhole, have Engineering start charging the drive.” He said. “Tasi, where is the ship that transmitted the distress call?”

“Tin-Ta’a. I have recalculated the position of the Âmuso Ibâka. We are approximately 1.5 light-years from its position. That places it within the nebula Niujendo Âbime. According to the owning sect she was exploring the uninhabited world Ousan. The Âmuso Ibâka was to remain on site for another lua.

Her position makes no sense. If they completed their work they should have returned to World Station. So why would they head in the opposite direction?” came the voice of the Yome’s brain Tasi.

From engineering Potos Kehula’s voice came from the intercom on Qaedal’s console. “Tin-Ta’a, perhaps this would be an ideal time to give the Wave Rider Drive an operational run. We could be there in one hour.”

Qaedal pondered the suggestion; the brain of the ship had repeated specified that none of the crew was alive. The test run would only add about 30 minutes to their travel time. He activated his intercom, “Sounds like a sensible use of our time. Charge the Wave Rider Drive and prepare to get underway.” He said to Potos.

He turned to the brown furred Qaktoro female at helm “ Sar Leagar, calculate your flight trajectory for use with the drive. Have Tasi verify your results.”

"Tiodorno my friend, assemble the team you want to go aboard the ship. All personnel to be in Anoka'ano Dahome small arms only. No need for heavier weapons."

"I will attend to it right way." the light brown furred Qaktoro gave a slight bow and left the Overwatch. He went to an empty console and activated the intercom.

"The following personnel are to report to the Armor Storage area.

  • Sâvyjo'sa La'tâ Qoji
  • Sâvyjo'sa Keyul Aaeas
  • Sâvyjo'sa Memi Sotar
  • Sâvyjo'sa Murr Whisk
  • Sâvyjo Hewid Letes
  • Sâvyjo Syaboa Purpur
Briefing will be held in the Armor area. Tin-To'a out."

La'tâ was in the showers getting cleaned up after a light work out. She was off duty at the moment and since there did not seem to be enough Tula on board to warrant a Vit Ruo'sa she had to keep her mind focused otherways, hence the exercise. However she was not being called to the armor storage. She decided to quickly finish up her shower and get dressed before heading down to the storage.

Armor Storage

She arrived in a reasonable time, not exactly promptly but still within reasonable measure. Once there she stood at attention and looked around to see what was ready, but based on where they were it meant another combat related mission.

~~Âvona Uospa'te Ruo'sa 11~~

Scrolls and books had been stacked in haphazard collections upon his table. At some point he'd have to request a real desk and maybe shelves for all of the scrolls and books, but until then Memi would just deal with in his mess of a mini library. He had been researching ways to keep himself under control in combat. There weren't many books or scrolls he had brought that would cover anything of the like, so he had been piecing it from many different sources. It was time consuming, but he was making strides.

then the chime and the call to the Armor storage.

With a long tired sigh, Memi reached out and finished off the fourth Damuisa this Tui alone, about the twelfth since the party. He was a bit twitchy and wired. Not eating at the party or since might have had something to do with it also...

He tossed the can to the trash bin and heard it clatter in with the rest of the cans. Standing up he grabbed his recording equipment and took it with him to the armory. If he had time he would attach the vid recorders to his Stako's shoulders, better to record everything. He had heard of floating drones the Yamataian's used. Maybe someday he could get a few of them.

~~Armor storage~~
He came into the large room, with a bit of a twitch in his eye, and saw La'tâ standing at attention. "I see we're going to be thrown into the wilds again."

Armor Storage

La'tâ turned when she heard someone else enter and saw that it was Memi, giving him a smile. "Memi Sar you look..." She was cause off guard by his appearance he looked stressed and out of sorts, she was ready to give him a complement but his appearance was worrisome now. "Memi Sar, is everything all right? You look on jumpy."

Armor Storage

"I'm... I'm fine." Memi smiled and tried to look reassuring. he was a bit strung out from the energy drinks but he didn't feel all that off, so he shrugged and set the case holding the vid recorders down by his Stako. "If we have some time can you help me attach these?"

Armor Storage

Keyul walked into the hold, paused for a moment to see who all was here. He then walked over to his team mates. So far there were no senior members present but that would not last. He overheard part of the discussion between the two others. He walked over to the brown furred Tula. "Well met La'tâ." He looked at the ship's Kynlumu'a who was over by the Stako. "Hey Memi." He wondered what his team mate was doing. He heard footsteps approaching and saw the Tin-To'a.

Toidorno walked into the hold and over to the Armor storage. He looked around taking note of who was present. Half of the individuals he requested were present. Then he noticed Memi over by the stored Stakos. "Sâvyjo'sa Sotar, why are you over by the Stako? Those Stako are rigged for ground operation, and several of the are in need of repairs." He turned back to La'tâ and Keyul. "Once the others arrive I will commence with the mission briefing."

Armor Storage

Was about to head over to the Stako with Memi when Keyul stepped in. She bowed lightly to him. "Good to see you are doing well." Son after the Tin-To'a stepped in which caused her to go to attention once more. She however was rather surprised to hear what Toidorno had said to Memi though.

"Sar does that mean we will not be in the stako?" She did not show it but the idea of that scared her, she could maybe hold her own in a sudden fight in a house, but she was nothing special with weapons and she wasn't remotely bullet proof.

Armor Storage

Tiodorno turned to La'tâ. "That is correct. We are heading to a ship that was attacked. Our team will be boarding the ship and investigating. According to the brain when we can get through to it, the attacking vessel has left the area. I'll explain more when the others are here."

"I... err... I was going... oh never mind..." he picked the case back up and brought it over in time to hear the basic concept of the mission. He was confused for a moment before he spoke up. "Then... Why am I part of the team? I'm not combat personnel..." Memi stood there looking pretty confused over the whole situation.

Hewid walked into the Cargo hold he was excited to be called on for a mission. He had no idea what the mission was, but it was his chance to prove himself. He paused and then crossed over to the Armor Storage area. He saw the other crew members and approached. When he spotted the Tin-To'a he turned and bowed, "Sâvyjo Hewid Letes reporting as ordered Tin-To'a." he straightened up.

Toidorno looked over at Memi and scowled, "You are part of the team because I chose you. You have a problem with that Sâvyjo'sa?" He then turned to Hewid and gave a slight bow. "No need to report Sâvyjo."

Memi was going to speak up, but then saw the scowl. Though it didn't change the fact that he kept feeling like they were pushing him into combat situations, but it was his lot in life. He joined the ship and swore and oath to it.

Syaboa was in her room when the announcement for her to report to the armour storage, she was shocked and quickly got ready making sure she had smiler on her belt then smiled happily as she pulled out the knife kissed the blade then put it back in her belt and walked out the room headed towards the Armour Storage

Armour Storage

Syaboa walked into the Armour Storage seeing the others she tried to sneak to the side, she was not in the mood to talk as she knew what the mission was after talking with Tigar before, she smiled as she remembered the strict aspect of Tigar and how the talk went okay with her better than the others.

Armor Storage

Seeing the Memi was looking beaten and defeated, La'tâ felt sorry for him and was thinking about comforting him in some way. However Memi and Toidorno were both Qaktoro, she was not going to do Memi the dishonor of having his superior see him be cheered up by a Tula. She decided to instead direct Toidorno's attention elsewhere to give Memi some breathing room. "I assume we are not boarding as is?" She glanced around "I see some things that look like they are meant for assisting in getting battle ready, but they are not a model I am familiar with." While she was part of the Otâmovi Wiy Jael, her last few years were spent purely on medical she did no know about the new devices that were present.

Armor Storage

Toidorno looked at the group with his blue and green eyes. "Well as most of you are present. I can commence with your briefing. " He said and moved to a position where he could look at all of them to read their body language.

"We received a message, or more precisely a distress call from the Âmuso Ibâka, she is a Ismâo'a-Class ship. Her compliment was twenty two individuals. She was exploring one of the unsettled worlds.

The Âmuso Ibâka's brain sent the call and reported that they were attacked, the crew has been killed and the ship boarded. The signal from the ship is intermittent which is a bad indicator of the ship's condition. The brain has also reported that the attackers are no longer in the area.

Since the ship is damaged, and we do not know how badly we are going to be wearing Anoka'ano Dahome. These will be fitted with HS-PD1-M755/01 Wunyniud Movi for space operation. They will provide us with life support and protection from any ship board hazards. The Anoka'ano Dahome will operate without you requiring to think about what you are doing. Once aboard we are going to make an assessment of her condition. We will also conducting an investigation to get an idea of who is responsible.

Sâvyjo'sa Memi Sotar as our Kynlumu'a
your responsibility is to locate their Kynlumu'a's quarters. Collect their records and such for bringing back aboard the Yome. You are expected to also look for any salient information about who attacked.

Sâvyjo Hewid Letes once aboard will head to the engineering section and assess the condition of the power system, drive system.

I will be heading to the bridge to check the sensor logs and such.

The rest of you who are not given specific details, will move about the ship and investigate. We need to determine how many bodies; what weapons appear to have been used. You will examine every room, cabin etc.

Questions?"

Murr had slipped in very quietly just as the brief was beginning. She listened carefully to what was about to transpire. She was planning out her mission payload. Being on a wrecked ship in space would require the more delicate usage of explosives and cutting techniques.

Once the briefing was finished, Murr used her unique holo-text messaging system to commincate her question.

::Will we have tech support to help move debris that prevent us from completing our assigned tasks? This will determine what I bring in matters of the proper explosives to breech into areas that we may need to penetrate without compromising the hull integrity any more that it is already. ::

Murr definitely wanted to use the new thermal putty to see how it preformed under actual use. She was going in heavy with her usual equipment, plus with the new thermal putty to cut into and through bulkheads that needed to open rooms.

::Question 2 - Will we have individually schemitics of the ship we're going to have a look see at? ::

Even with the thermal putty, math would always pay an intregril part of the usage. Didn't want to use to much or not enough and she could carry only so much.

She nodded to the others when she had time to greet them properly.

Toidorno looked over at Murr, "Everyone will have the specifications for the Ismâo'a-Class including deck plans, uploaded into their Anoka'ano Dahome. Everyone will be issued a A'ka Veltin for cutting through minor debris. Our team is the only one going on board to conduct our assessment and investigation. Demolitions will be brought aboard in a Wunyasa Tinsae. We will secure it once on board. If we encounter a situation I will advise you Sar Whisk that you may get break them out for use. The container is over there, once we are through briefing grab one of your team mates and have them help you load the container. No personnel will carry explosives on them. "

Murr nodded as she sided over to the container and knelt next to it. She opened it up and looked what was stored inside. She smiled as there was several tubes of Thermal Putty. Her ears were perked to signal she was paying attention to others around her. She quickly read the inventory and compared it to what was actually there.

Seeing everything matched up, she nodded as there was enough explosives and putty to turn the derelict into space junk. She nodded her approval as she made a copy of the inventory to her wrist computer. She closed the container up when finished.

She was one happy kitten when it came to explosives. She moved to check out the rest of her gear for the mission. She was purring softly.

La'tâ was not too keen on the idea of everyone splitting up once they were on the ship, that was a fairly large area for them to cover. "There wont be any hostiles aboard will there? I can't imagine a ship being attacked and not raided." There was just a hint of worry in her voice normally it would not be notice, but with her normally stoic nature, that small change made a difference.

Armour Storage

Syaboa walked to everyone else "well if there is hostiles, will will just have to show them the barrel of our guns" she seemed agitated and a bit angry, she looked over the others "but I think teams of two would be better than everyone by themselves, I don't trust this wreak." Syaboa wondered if anyone here knew about her past, when her ship was attacked and she got the wound hidden by her clothes which she was thankful for but she felt like it was on show at the moment, she looked at the others "teams of two mean that everyone has their back covered in case of an attack" she winced a bit as if just thinking about what happened to her made her wound burn.

Armor Storage

The Tin-To'a listened to what the others had to say. As the leader he valued the inputs of his underlings. But he also had the privilege to ignore it. " As for deployment on the ship, that will be at my discretion. Except for our Kynlumu'a, who will have an escort at all times." He pressed a switch on the closest storage module. A number of them modules lit up. "An armor has been preselected for you based on your physical specifications. Find yours and follow the modules instructions.

At the moment all we have are unknowns. The Yome will be onsite in twenty minutes. So that is how long you have to suit up in your armors and walk around a bit in them. Once in your armor to and take aRotysa Tyokame Nortejo from the armory, along with four clips."

Tiodorno then stepped into the module and took position so that his torso was lined up with the first module.
