Nesha Prime - Ne'ushae, District 1, Military Sub-District
Inside of one of the cities many military bases, a Daur sat casually in a plush looking chair, her dark blue eyes staring out over the vast city - her office was on the seventh floor of the bases second administrative building, she could watch as people below went about their daily activities; her office had three pains of glass which allowed to see most of the city. It was a weekend, so most of the traffic below were comprised of children headed to the base for militia training, there were no cars - instead - cars moved underground, away from the above ground pedistrian traffic - although people could watch these cars thanks to some area's of the walkways that were transparent.
The girl leaned back in her chair, it made a creaking sound which caused her to stop momentarily, then shrug. At this moment there was a knock. "Enter," she said and turend the chair halfway. The door slide open quietly and a My'leke entered the room, sporting the rank patch of a warrant officer.
"Sera'ta'kon Chi'ka Jukiso'me'sane," spoke the My'leke as their tail moved around into a salute. "I have the latest report on the status of the ship."
Chi'ka smiled. "Go ahead," she didn't turn her chair toward the soldier, and instead kept the back of it toward them.
The My'leke let out a breath. "The ships chief engineer reports that it'll be at least another few hours before the testing of the ships prototype reactor is finished, at least three hours minimum."
"Give him four, considering the nature of our mission I don't want us to be flying out of this base and then suddenly become a light show for the citizenry..." her voice trailed off as she noticed a ship out of the corner of her eyes - a She'tan'ora, one of the most badly designed ships in the Navy, at least in her opinion. "How long will it take once the tests are finished for the ship to be fully supplied?"
"That's already been completed ma'am, only thing that is lacking are the starfighters which will join us once we get into space."
"I see, was hoping they'd join us on the ground for out-bound escort, but I guess not everything can go as planned," the girl sighed; but her eyes still focused on the approaching ship, which soon disappeared behind several large buildings. "What about the crew?"
"They are arriving as we speak, and per your orders, they are being escorted to the recreational hall. Certain members of the bridge crew, including your XO, have been told to report directly to you first thing upon arrival," The My'leke looked down at the report and then placed it on the officers desk.
Chi'ka smiled, turning her chair toward the front, and then getting up out of it. The My'leke blinked, and watched her, Chi'ka wore the uniform of a Sera'ta'kon, she had light gray pants on with a light gray jacket, they could barely notice the dark blue undershirt. The jacket had two blue bands that ran from the top of the shoulders down the front of the jacket, on the back was a dirty red colored cape that was attached to the jackets shoulders. On her wrists were gauntlets and her boots were knee high. "You are dismissed."
The My'leke saluted once more and then left. Chi'la sighed and ran a hand through her hair, "this will be one of the most interesting, and perhaps dangerous, missions." She recalled what the King had said to her just a few hours earlier, the mission to hunt down a mole within the Kingdom while still taking on the Queen's core mission of discovering new worlds. "At least we have a large ship, plenty of supplies, lots of equipment, but that doesn't mean that things will go as planned."
The girl walked over to the window, and peered outward, her eyes drawn toward a large number of shuttles making their way toward the debarkation area. She knew these shuttles, they were assigned to the ship that she was to command and were currently being used to ferry the ships crew to the base from the spaceport.
