Star Army

Star ArmyⓇ is a landmark of forum roleplaying. Opened in 2002, Star Army is like an internet clubhouse for people who love roleplaying, art, and worldbuilding. Anyone 18 or older may join for free. New members are welcome! Use the "Register" button below.

Note: This is a play-by-post RPG site. If you're looking for the tabletop miniatures wargame "5150: Star Army" instead, see Two Hour Wargames.

  • In 2020 we're going to have our community meetings on the second Friday of the month except when those are holidays (Valentine's Day and Patriot's Day). I've added dates to the 2020 wiki page.

Welcome to the New Technologies and Setting Elements forum. This forum is where new articles are evaluated and approved for the setting's canon.
  • Submissions should use the form provided below.
  • Submissions must comply with the Submission Rules to be approved.
  • Reviewer should post in accordance with the Guide to Submission Review
  • Articles needing FM approval will be held until approved.
Please be patient with the review team. Most submissions are approved in a week. Submission threads older than 30 days are automatically deleted. If your thread expires in this manner, you may post the submission again.

Feedback should be considered, but ultimately approval rests on a faction manager and an NTSE staffer, who are trusted with approval powers. The presence of objections in a thread doesn't preclude something from being approved. The NTSE is not a voting system (although NTSE mods can certainly add polls to controversial threads). That said, it's important that the suggestions are at least addressed and not ignored.

Good day gents,

Wes and I had a talk about this, while members may request another reviewer, the following stipulations need to be followed:

1. You may request another reviewer for your thread, but it has be followed by a reason and shouldn't be done in the OP.
2. When a request is made, the staff will pick another reviewer for you (this is done to prevent a member from trying to get someone they favor)
3. You may not bar someone from reviewing your work; you may, however, ask staff to intervene if you feel that there is bias or unfairness going on.

Remember that the NTSE is not supposed to be a place full of difficulty and hardship, but rather a place where things should be smooth and easy going. While we have rules to follow and such, both the submitter and the moderator have to cooperate with one another to make the process go smoothly. We understand, however, that sometimes there may be disagreements and that's where this comes into play, but also understand that we would prefer it if the submitter and mod work things out before resorting to the requests for another reviewer.
