Mindy description said:The Ke-M2-P2701 also protects the Mindy from scalar attacks.
The Kylie has used the same CFS systems as the Mindy since <s>its creation</s> it was put into service with the Star Army of Yamatai, and therefore has the same scalar protection.Kylie description said:Systems Listings:
Ke-M2-P2701 Combined Field System
The 1B was an early version equipped with the Mindy's old CDD system that was sold to Feisar Arms in limited quantities. The 1C is the Star Army variant. No Star Army ship has a 1B on it. I corrected my statement above.Doshii Jun said:For continuity's sake, Wes, the Kylie hasn't used a CFS since its inception. If it had, why is there a 1B (and assumingly a 1A) variant that doesn't list it?
But now we're clear, so it's all good.
Well, she'd show up on the Sakura. At some point, Kotori would move over to the the new ship...speaking of which, how about the "Arrowhead" class? Arrowhead is the general shape of the ship, a type of flower found in Japan, the name of a British WW2 Flower-class vessel, and a home for science fiction writers. The Japanese word for Arrowhead is Yanone.Kotori said:Besides, this isn't a technology discussion thread. I remain slightly peeved that Wes has not been more obvious about this OoCly since Tomoe has been waving that issue in front of him for a long time. I could have had argued that the systems might not have been completely compatible, but I don't want to get in that kind of debate here for the moment.
Wes, you return June 20, correct? The current storyarc seems nowhere near over. What do you intend to do with Hanako once you get back?
Kessaku Electronics Corporation Warship Integrated Electronics System v2.0 said:Above WIES is MEGAMI, and KAMI. Under WIES is EIES (Escort Integrated Electronics System; for cruisers, destroyers, and escort carriers) and CIES (Compact Integrated Electronics System; for frigates, corvettes, and gunboats). Such smaller ships are usually under the control of the WEIS, the EIES (or a higher-level system) can take over if necessary (if the WEIS ship is destroyed or unavailable).
Communications said:Communications: Any WEIS ship is equipped with a multi-channel wide-band array that gives both security and versatility. Among the types of communication supported are radio, laser, subspace, and hyperspace. Communications can be secured using Quantum Encryption technology, which (due to the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle) allows the system to detect any monitoring attempts and counter them.
