Seru sat in his dark office, eyes shut, back straight. In fact, sitting behind the large desk as he was, it seemed that he was waiting for something, his hands clasped together, resting on the table, his face serene, his body motionless. Although he was not moving, his mind was still active, as the merest hint of a melody played upon the edges of his mind. It had plagued him for days, a melody of heart breaking beauty, which seemed to him to be one of the most wonderful things he had ever heard, and yet he could not quite make it out, it was just out of his reach, tantalising.

His thoughts went to other matters, such and the condition on the streets at the moment. The redevelopments where going well, the new Armoured Mobile Pharmacies where almost fully developed, security had been increased massively, and certain pro-drug propaganda had been spread, advertising them as a way of escaping the vicious circle of drugs, and another, separate, campaign, just saying what the effects where. He had planned to give out free samples of the drugs on the day of their release, just to encourage the public to try them out, he would have to try and get that past Davis.

There where the other projects of course, he'd just gotten back from a brain storming session with a group of Emrys Industries employed architects over the designing an arcology for outside Funky City, a place for the surplus that Nepleslians seemed to able in create in Funky City, to go to, and to reduce the pressure on Nepleslia. Seru believed that in a crowded situation, where there was not enough food and wealth distributed to the poor, there was just an explosion ready to happen. There where problems of course; little work had been done in the field of arcologies, and Emrys Industries was, to a certain degree, having to make it up as they went along. However it also made it more worthwhile, in the future people would look back and see that it was Emrys Industries that made a monument to engineering, and Emrys Industries that helped make Nepleslia a better place. And what could be a more noble purpose?

Actually Seru wasn't certain. Helping people was all good and fine, but what he didn't want was to help them too much. On no account was he going to pamper people, that would mean bringing around a generation of spoilt brats. Seru believed in survival of the fittest, but also that if someone was born with too much of a disadvantage then this could not come about. It gave him a moral headache, one which he tended to ignore.

He'd recently got news that the Destiny was approaching the planet, and made a mental note to get himself into their welcome. But did he really want to meet his son? Seru would have to plan something special for him.

The tune came back into the front of his mind, and for one glorious moment he encompassed it, and felt it flow over him, before it disappeared, and he was left with only a small part of it. His previously inert body sprang into action, grabbing a piece of parchment and a pen, and writing out the melody. So beautiful. Pausing for a moment, Seru switched the lights on, so he could actually write it out.

Drei returned to the transport which had brought her to the offices of the Master Admiral. It was a car with an elongated chassis built to hold more than one person in high comfort that the she was able to secure the services of from a small transportation company that operated nearby.
