You know that a belt full of 10,000 rounds of 30mm diameter would stretch 300m, longer than the length of an Ayame-class cruiser (274.3m) or about the length of an Irim-class gunship (304.8m), right?

So, a backpack that was 54cm wide (about 21 inches) would be 15 meters tall, or about the height of a five-story building.

I agree wth wes, I would assume that this type of weapon would go on a vehicle or aircraft that could sustain the amount of ammunition and weight of the weapon. Oh and don't forget recoil.

Firing Mechanism (standard): bullets are fed into the chamber by means of a link less belt, the firing pin is pulled back by a gear assembly driven by an electric motor. With each spent round the barrels then rotate. To release spent shell casings a mechanical "prodâ€

Thanks for reminding me about rate of fire, and the tip about the cases. and the ROF was left out because its not included in the standard weapons template... silly me forgot to add it in on my own.

Anti Personnel 30mm? O.o

I Like It!

Were the weight/ammo problems on this resolved?

That seemed to be the only thing that was stopping it from being approved.

I personally think that the price might be a little too high.

The prices were mostly posted as such to keep non-Lorath individuals from purchasing the equipment... I could revise prices if IC conditions improve. and the weight issues of the ammunition have been revised, several times.

I suggest that be approved however I would like to see something that states how massive the ammo supply for the weapon would be (about the size of 7 VW beetles)

not even close. yes, if it were a belt it would have been really long, but it was also really thin. as a backpack, it will only take up .378 cubic meters, assuming they're twice as long as they are thick and take up a full rectangular area to prevent jamming. The best bet is to have a 3m x 2.1m x 60mm pack, so it doesn't have to wrap around in 3d.

... Three meters by 2.1 meters. I just want to make sure I'm reading that right. No humanoid is carrying this weapon if a pack that size is needed.

That's right. A 20 meter tall mech is.

Approved.

Quick Edit: Zack's reply is valid. There should be a measurement up in the original post, but since it seems to be worked out and there's no other problems, it stays approved, just put it up there later.

Case and point on why something should be added in the discription on just how big the ammo supply is. Someone just skimming through might end up trying to have their character weild the weapon like that dood in the first preditor movie or mounting it on a car of somesort that isn't large enough to hold the ammo.
