Briefing Room 4, shipyard, Central Uesureya, Planet Yamatai
Tsuguka and Candon stood on a slightly elevated stage with a podium off to the presenter's left. Before them lay a small crowd of empty seats. In a few minutes the small room would be much less spacious as the new recruits for Eucharis' infantry team were expected to arrive shortly wearing their duty uniforms in the everyday style.
There was a great deal to cover and they would only have a short amount of time before reporting to a hanger to be sized up for M2-4's.
"Tsu, let's recap" Candon called as he approached a distance suitable for general conversation, "I'm going to be delegating a portion of this briefing to you. After my introduction I am going to give you the floor. I would like you to ask for volunteers for specialized combat roles. I would like one demo specialist and a marksman- oh, and just in case see if we have someone skilled with mounted guns. It would be nice to have. Once we have that done we'll hike over to Hangar 10 for the Mindy fitting. Am I missing anything?"
"Mounted guns, Suites-Heisho?" The dark eyes of the ruby-coloured woman shirked a little, trying to figure out what plan he was up to this time. The same expression Tsuguka had been giving Candon with great regularity since the day they met, really. "I did miss the Type 30 Tankettes after they were shipped out, but I'm not sure defense is ever something we are really going to perform well, with these kind of numbers... Alrough ordering some more 35mm machineguns on their own would give us more spray gun style supressing fire, that said..."
A bit of an elongated pause, whilst she bit the tip of her thumb and scrolled her communicator's screen again. The new recruits were certainly diverse. Having a brand new version of the Mindy to read up on also made things rather difficult, considering they had no real-world experience with it. The damn thing looked like a walking lightbulb compared to their old warhorse.
"Based on past experience... Having someone with medical knowledge on-site would be helpful." Hands on hips again, as she looked back up at him. "Maybe someone with electronic warfare skills. Not everyone is going to be as inept at covering their tracks as the Rixxikor."
"I like it, test the new meat and see what we've got to work with," Suites replied, "I can take up electronic warfare if needed and maybe if we as nicely command will issue us an Aether Gatling Rifle, that'll give us more than enough suppressive fire support. If not we'll make do."
As if on cue the first candidates arrived, "come in and take a seat, we've got ourselves a full day."
