This is an extremely transparent attempt to circumvent the Tech Forum ruling placed on your artillery piece because it was blatantly overpowered and you refused to pay attention to the mandate of the tech mod commentary in the thread.

In a word: Stop.

If only these links still worked, I could fathom up some hybrid Kinetic/Plasma Railguns for the Brolt. I think only the SA one does, which is at least useful for creating a hybrid weaponry.

Any information on railguns people can find, maybe throw up here? It'd be nice to see what all is around and have it pooled into an area. Hell, it's making me hopeful for wikis with sub-directories for weaponry types (a wiki for all the Railguns, a wiki for all the Laser weaponry) but that'd obviously be time-consuming as all hell to make.

So, again, I feel the need to resurrect this. Especially since it literally came up the other day with @Toshiro (I believe) who was trying to find information on railguns within the setting. There doesn't need to be a standard or anything, but it's one of the few weapons that is VERY common in sci-fi but we have a very loose average/wide range on so certain ones are crazy... but then you got some that are so absurdly slow by comparison. It's probably one of only a few technologies on SARP that has such a wide gap (which is fine) but it definitely makes it hard for creators to balance railguns in comparison to the abundant and fairly in-line plasma weapons or standard kinetic ones.

The struggle is real.

I think the current work around is just not to list the speed the round travels at, but I would also love to see a consensus on how fast things should move.
