Rett had an unremarkable past though he was rare, one of the original geshrin still alive. Not a big thing to everyone else, but it mattered to him. He worked for 8 years in the military then for a while on Nepleslia as a pit fighter in gambling arenas. Then eventually got out of that and back into being a bodyguard, at least in training. He is currently affliated with the Starm army but is freelancing between assignments
