[SAOY] PA Size Errors

To begin with, errors in the M2 Mindy measurements data.

Pilot must be between 145cm (4'9”) to 170cm (5'6”) tall. A average NH-29 Nekovalkyrja is 160cm (5'3”) tall.

Height: 175cm (5'7”) with a 160cm (5'3”) Inside. May vary +/- 15cm.
Width: 62cm (2'0”)
Mass: 100kg (220lbs) net weight, 180kg (397lbs) maximum load.

Max height is first given as 170cm (5'6"), but then says the base height is 160cm, and may vary by +/- 15cm, which would put it at 175cm (5'9"). Furthermore, the value given for 170cm is inaccurate to begin with: 170cm is 5'7".

Though a seemingly minor error, it impacts some characters. Currently, pretty much anyone over 5'6" must pilot a Harpy M5. Speaking of the M5:

Pilot must be between 153 cm (~5') to 208 cm (~5' 10”) tall. An average Yamataian is 160cm (5' 3”) tall.

Height: 185 cm (72.8 in) with a 160 cm (5' 3”) Yamataian inside. Pilot may be 5' to 5' 10”, with maximum height being 224 cm (~88.6 in)

Not only does this one also contradict itself about what maximum height is, but it is overwhelmingly off. 224cm is accurately given as ~88.6 inches (closer to 88.2, really). Do you know how many feet that is? 7.35', or roughly 7'4". 208cm is listed as 5'10". 208cm is in actuality 6'10". That's off by an entire foot.

Obviously whoever originally worked on these measurements wasn't paying much attention. It's quite likely that the other SAOY power armors also give inaccurate and inconsistent measurements. I'd ask that a tech mod determine which values to definitively give.

Actually if I recall correctly the Harpy has been discontinued to a certain extent. The DAISY is the armor for pilots over 5'6".

I don't see the problem here; the numbers match up. The armor height is the pilot's height plus 15cm.

As for the Harpy, it looks like the armor height needs to be recalculated based on what height it adds to the user.

I did the math for the Harpy, so the problems are mine.

I think I meant to say 6' 10", not 5' 10". I was trying to allow tall Yamataians and Nepleslians to pilot the thing.

I don't see the problem here; the numbers match up. The armor height is the pilot's height plus 15cm.

I'm not speaking in reference to the armor height, I'm referring to the pilot height, though there were more clarification errors there that I see you've already made on the wiki page. If you'll note, it says the pilot must be between 145cm-170cm. Then, it says the pilot height may very from 160cm by +/- 15cm. 160+15 obviously isn't 170, so that first value is incorrect. That's what I was pointing out.


Sorry if it seems kind of pointless that I'm bringing this up in the forums when I could easily correct it on the wiki. Given that there's no clearly defined rules regarding editing material that other people have written on the wiki, I was hesitant to do so.
