Interest Check Shades of Green: A New Nepleslian Merc Plot

Legal, capitalized murder is common place in Nepleslia, as long as a paper-trail is legit and there's been some sort of oversight then everything should go easy.

We know that Funky City has one of the seediest underbellies of all the civilizations that make up Nepland's core, so why not do a little bit of urban warfare there?

There'll be a plot page up fairly soon with more information if enough people are interested, I only really need a handful to get started, but here's the rundown.

A somewhat powerful undesirable needs to be removed from the equation, and those people who need this undesirable removed also need plausible deniability if everything goes belly up, so they outsource a contract to one Remy Belmont. She's been given a name, some intel, and far too much money to assemble a morally grey crew to cut this parasite off so that the host may flourish.

It's legal enough and pays far too well to pass up this opportunity, at least that's how this starts, I don't want to reveal too much but I am quite proud of my plans for this plot (and I rarely admit I'm proud about anything I make), there's some definite inspiration drawn from Shadowrun and Cyberpunk though.

No real requirements for what characters are eligible other than that they could feasibly wind up in Funky City doing contract work, Remy would do a fair bit of scouting so if they need to make a bit of a trek to get there that's fine too.

The events of the plot's first multi-thread storyline will take place over the course of a few (IC) days, maybe up to a week, if enough people show interest I'll start planning for a storyline to follow this up and so on and so forth. But all you need to know for now is that it's merc work in the neon-soaked labyrinth that is Funky City, feel free to ask any further questions you might have and I'll answer them when I can.

I could dust off Will Cason that was going to be in another plot that the GM had to pull out of. Let me know if that is possible, I did have him as part of the navy. So not too sure if he would be able to fit into the plot.

Also - and I really hate to say this, because it reminds me all too much of the things I said in the past - aren’t FMs only allowed to be the FM of one faction at a time? I have absolutely nothing against Skully or him becoming the next Nepleslian FM - I believe he’s a good fit for the role, and I wish him the best of luck in all of his future endeavors with the setting’s second oldest faction - but… isn’t he already the Neshaten FM?

Edit: Char resigned as the Nep FM in this post, Jack, though I don’t know what krimsonwulf’s status is.

I would love to be part of a Nep plot were I do more than 2 posts before it becomes inactive. That's only happened to me 1, 2, 3,,, 4... 3.5 times. I won't count that first plot I was in because I became inactive in that one. But the other 3 yes. Anyway. Not sure what character I'd use. I might be making a few more as I flush out my Canterbury Clan. But regardless, you can add my name to the 'In' list.

As for FM stuff referenced earlier Krim got too busy, and I really havent been doing the job of anything above a GM level so I gave up being FM considering I really havent been doing the job and did not have the motivation.

Skully is a lout, but now we all get to harass him for not posting at a GM/FM level~
 
Regarding what Frost asked, I'm simply working with who I have. It makes more sense for Skully to run Neshaten and Nepleslia than it does for me to run Yamatai and Nepleslia, simply because I've already got more than enough on my plate. Anyway, I like that this plot gets back to some old school Nepleslian roots and I hope people have a lot of fun with it.
 
I'll do a bigger, more comprehensive post tonight but there's a few things I kinda want to stress.

1) this isn't some military endeavour, this is very much a private sector type deal, so it's unlikely any of the characters would be actively serving their nation etc etc.

2) I've gotten too in over my head before by letting too many PCs into a plot, so I want maybe 5 or 6 at most to start off with. No hard feelings against anyone I don't let in immediately, I just don't want to overwhelm myself again lol. (Thus number may quickly change as I set up the plot page and stuff, I'm glad people have shown interest!)

3) yes im a dual fm now, no I don't want to immediately rework things to accomplish some hidden agenda, with my history of not being much of a troublemaker I just hope people trust me with all this.

I'm back into writing stuff properly now and the last thing I want is a bunch of drama killing that drive again lol, please respect that, I had a brief discussion with Wes about it late last night and it was good enough for him to trust me with this.

Alright, I'll throw the plot page together some time this week, if people could start throwing character pages/ideas at me that'd be wonderful.

@Damaske maybe we could use your lad if he's doing merc work during shoreleave or something? but this would be something that might mar his service record a little bit, what you do with that information is up to you~
 
With any luck the plot page will be up some time tomorrow ST (Skeleton Time)

Then more things can start rolling, and the plot can hopefully start some time this month.

So, surprise, I haven't finished it yet lol.

Just for a role call I'd like to get a list of characters people have/are working on, we've got Char's cyberdemon and Arble wants to use a fox but that's all I've got so far .
 
Quick question for you Skully. I want to put Caffran in here because I really just want to RP him some more. He's a Nep sergeant scout/close combat specialist but he's also a IPG commando. I could justify it by saying the IPG has gotten wind of the assassination plan and want to make sure this group isn't anything more than what it appears so they send Caffran in under cover.

If that works for you sweet. If not, no big deal and I'll start work on a new guy for the plot.
