Interest Check SINS of Anisa - SAINT Plot (18+)

Hey guyz. It's your local Leggo here, reminding you that SAINT is gud and not to be f'd with. In particular, in the safety of Yamatai from foreign entities of GREEDY capacity.

SINS of Anisa will focus on SIN agents deployed with the intel-checking from YOMI, essentially in a joint effort of the organizations within SAINT to target Kuvexian-influence and intent on the world of Anisa. Some of you may know of it, some of you might not. Here's a link tho just in-case.

Oh, and here's the post of its amazing head NPC and the GMPC I'll be taking in and using to better aide others.

Don't worry, Dion is more of just my insert to make Separa'Shan great again. My real intent is to primarily post through him so it's a bit easier to channel myself into the RP. He will not be slotted into leadership unless others need it. And don't worry. I've spoke with @raz and will likely be working alongside @Wes to fully flesh him out within his SAINT role. Regardless of what happens with him, the main plot's drive will be via the Chusa.

But I should probably tell you guys what the plot is about. That'd probably be good, since like I'm told that I would never do anything Yamatai. Or I just said that. I said that a lot, didn't I? Well, I just decided to finally do something for Yamatai instead of make good memes about the Freespacer genocide. That's going to be starting here.

SINS of Anisa will focus on:
  1. Spy Games
  2. Yamatai Planets During Impending/Current Conflict
  3. Killing Kuvexians, their species, and those they turn against Yamatai itself
The first is a bit more obvious: SAINT doesn't like dealing with people who meddle with Yamatai or their ability to protect it. SIN is here to take out the trash, not be splattered with it by silly things like non-necessary oversight. They'll be reporting up the chain and utilizing their clandestine need to hide beneath the surface and avoid detection. SAINT isn't full of monsters, but in the real world? Intelligence branches don't draw punches because they're liable. They go into it knowing one day they're likely going to end up used up and dead or never be held for anything until they're well-gone and dead.

Yamatai during conflict is something not really shown, heck... it's not shown a ton outside of some fluff RP. I'd wanted to remedy this, so I put the plot on Anisa. It's a logical target for spies, but still a defensible object for SAINT. As a result, the conflict will be cast around Anisa as the Kuvexian events unfold, shaping and defining how characters interact with the locals. One day they might be happy to see you, but the next they could be complaining about increased need for a certain good or about their views that force the operative to speak with them. It will provide a fluid object beneath the layer, allowing the plot to mold and develop itself around the local NPCs as well as their foes.

The third one is obvious. I don't need to explain that the plot will be about hunting Kuvexians and their allies, or stopping those who enlist to join their actions for greed or other reasons. SAINT is here and the enemy won't be for long.

That all said: There will be no MP players within this Yamatai plot. Sorry, but you're not welcome if you want to police Yamatai's ethics. They're already ethically one of the best and that's saying enough. This isn't to say the MPs won't appear as "semi-antagonists", though. Nothing like a bunch of SAINT members scoffing and outsmarting people trying to set them up. But there's no way I'm going to get tangled into the messy idea that someone can accurately police and hinder an organization that sees to the protection of the government and its populace. As much as the organizations in the real world screw up, I assure you they'd never be held up for the things they did because a nation can simply state they don't support it. But that's borderline politics... point is that it would hinder the themes of the plot to have players feel they were going to be policed for one little slip-up while under the "watchful eye" of these guys.

The following things WILL be needed, in ordered listing of importance.
  1. Intelligence Operatives (non-local)
    1. Covert Infiltration and Exfiltration
    2. Mobile Surveillance
    3. Sabotage
    4. Direct Action
    5. Remaining Field Evolutions
  2. Intelligence Operatives (either stationed or had been on leave to Anisa, picked up for the operation. Same order of priority)
  3. IWS (Information Warfare Specialist)
SAINT evolutions are listed, but most people can understand what these represent. CIE would be your "Hey guy, I'm your buddy" people who can cozy up and infiltrate the enemy formations, essentially gaining access to things that might be off-limit. Mobile Surveillance is necessary because YOMI can't watch everything. Someone being skilled at tracking moving targets means that they'll do better escaping detection. Sabotage and Direct Action are members who are more commando-style, with a preference for shooting or blowing things out. Or carrying out the assassinations. And all the rest, which aren't exactly "specific skills" are the fill-in.

Also, you might be wondering: why are non-local more important?

Simple. Because someone could have identified them as SAINT at some point on their local world or they'd be exploitable via their families or friends on the planet. SAINT has no need of this, and while it would provide interesting plot points, I'd prefer most players to be from a different world. It just eliminates problems of not accurately using those.

I will emphasize that the IWS role is not one I'd prefer. This is due to the fact they will very likely be someone who will be a hacker. While useful, this has little use in the field until a proper operation. If you're fine with this, then I am glad you're willing to join this venture. =3=b

As for Intelligence Officers, it would not make much sense. While YOMI and SIN deploy these members, they would be sitting around and doing most of the watching. IF you have an Intelligence Officer and would like to become an Operative, that is something I can definitely discuss and get to happen.

Anyway, that's it. I look forward to anyone who is interested. I will take both new and old characters, regardless of the plots they called home. So long, obviously, as they're a member of SAINT or a good/viable candidate. Don't try to sign up with a criminal, folks.

I'm never fully sure what Legix is doing, but he generally knows what's up and that SAINT's on-the-ground mission presence and makeup of active Field Stations is almost always "as needed" (read: what the GM needs).

So what I'm trying to say is this seems pretty great and I hope people join your wacky story.

Oh, right. Before I forget.

My plot is 18+
I just figured I'd say that. It's normal with all my plots, but the main reason is because like... I have a reputation to make a plot that has no holds barred? This isn't to say we'll CONSTANTLY earn it or anything. Just, you know... I uh... don't want to offend someone who didn't already know we'd be doing some p edgy and horrible things to Kuvexians trying to destroy Yamataian life?

So far, I've gathered up @SirSPT, if I can gather up other SAINT members/wannabees. I'm ideally aiming for at least 3 players, as SINs of Anisa is intended to be kept small. I'm also getting ready for the next post, detailing the first opposition to the plot, in the series of set-up RP going into the plot. So if anyone is on the fence, I encourage you to leap off into the snek pit :Lc join up so this can get rollin'.

Alright, so with the plot page made, I am now going to be reaching out and doing the groundwork to bring everyone in. @SirSPT has had experience with this in particular, as I try to arrange JPs between any prospective players as a sort of "IC interview" to build them into the wiki. It does have some red links, mind you, but that's fine since the plot will initially be Open RP as I push to flesh things out. This was made harder, thanks to some recent events, but I still intend to have these red links finished so all of you have better assets to look at versus have to rely on me for now.

So to the following, I would like you to contact me via PM/Conversation or Discord ASAP so we can start gettin' yer doods and doodettes ready to become SPIES =3=/

@SirSPT @C0rtana @Speeder01 @WolfsGhost

If anyone else is interested, please contact me as well. Despite what has been said, SAINT isn't terribly hard to make characters or plots for, it's simply not as streamlined as the years-refined process of making a traditional Neko. I might work alongside @Wes and some additionally informed members to construct a SAINT guide (albeit with some restrictions for new characters due to the role SAINT has), as it has been a personally tough series for myself that relied on others to really iron things out as much as I did. Hope to see more than just these cool four faces in the future!
