YE 44.5

Sitting alone in a cubicle drinking a beverage from a fancy glass, a sharply dressed and exceedingly tall Nepleslian man could be seen reading a datapad. Doing various mundane officer tasks was not exactly something Mikael Harris had thought he would end up doing.

The last time he had talked to Star Army Personnel (for today anyways), all of the existing Giretsu Centuries within the Rikugun were already assigned fresh Centurions. As his career path was now attached to the Rikugun track now, he was not going to be called to the fleet anytime soon. Especially after the KATANA elements creation.

Sighing a bit, he just drank more of his drink before looking at the reports he needed to process.

A taller-than-normal Neko slipped onto the barstool beside Mikael, dressed in a black cocktail dress and heels. Sliding her leather purse onto the counter, she gestured to the barkeeper. "Can I get a red wine, please? As vintage as you have-" She spoke in a singsong voice, her lengthy black hair handing about her shoulders, pink eyes glancing at her purse as she rummaged through it. After a few seconds, the bartender slid forward an empty wine glass and reached under the counter. Blowing some dust off the bottle, they popped it open and very carefully filled up the vessel. The mysterious lady cradled the stem of the glass between two slender fingers, moving it in small circles upon the counter to let the wine breathe. She glanced at Mikael, then back to the glass, as if something was on her mind.

Mikael could not stop himself from looking up at the new arrival. It was not just because the Neko was stunning in her black cocktail dress, but a large part of it was due to his SAINT paranoia. He factored her into his live mental database. The cubicle being in a corner, he had wide vision on most of the room. So he had a every detail from who was in the lounge, his initial assessment of the individual, and down to speculation of the origin of the odd stains on the floor.

When she glanced over towards Mikael, he simply nodded his head. The woman instantly got a question mark over her head in his vision HUD. Could be a number of things that could be on her mind and some of them are good. Deciding to further assess her later, he returned back to the datapad he was reading.

Taking a break from his usual paperwork, he was analyzing every scrap of unclassified data he could find on the YSS Wakaba to try to determine what had happened. A picture of his daughter Mizumitsu Hiroshiko could be see in the top right corner as part of the crew. He had a lot to make up to her for disappearing on her as a Neko Youngling. Instead of being a father, he volunteered to go to another universe with a Yamataian ship as soon as he returned from leave. Never thinking to ask if it was possible.

The next time Mikael would look up, he would see that the mysterious lady was now sat opposite him, wine glass on the table. She seemed to be looking at his clothes, sizing him up with those ultra pink eyes. How she got here so silently was one thing, perhaps she had just floated a little above the ground? "Hmm~" The Neko spoke in her melodic tone, "You're taller up close. Are you sure you don't belong in Nepleslia?" She tilted her head to one side, glossy black hair falling gently as she did. The woman leaned over a little, trying to peek at what might be on the tablet, her dress rustling against the tablecloth.

Mikael looks up slightly at the Neko before looking back down. The SAINT operative within him immediately issued out an encrypted Line of sight telepathic challenge known only to members of SAINT to positively ID each other. To the uninitiated it would just sound like faint white noise they are unlikely to notice or figure out was it was telepathy.

Not getting a response at all, it excluded her from being a SAINT member. He remained a bit guarded, but friendly. He switched the information about the Wakaba to the latest news about Aethersperm when she mentioned Nepleslia.

"People who say that to me as an opening like usually want one of two things: get up and personal someplace less public or they want something." Mikael said, showing the display of the tablet to her when she tries to peek.

"Which would you be …" Mikael said, trailing at the end to solicit her name. There is a grin forming on his face.
