RP: 188604 Space Invaders Redux

Z

Zack

Inside of a Transport being Carried by a U1,

Uso was busy checking her rifle again, dissassembling it and letting the peices be stored by the gooey liquid-soldier puddled up around her legs... before reassembling the kit once again.

"Ok,so lets go over this again, because I'm still a little unclear on why we aren't starting off with 'blow stuff up from orbit' as that would both be the most fun and most OMG SPACE INVADERS!"

Kyro stood up straight looking at Uso. He scratches his beard and said, “Well, it’s all about presentation. This is just a show we’re putting on for them. I assume you don’t want to have a long and drawn out war. Especially the large disapproval I hear you having. Wouldn’t want a rebellion again.”

He walked over to her and gave a smirk saying, “I’m not going to bite the hand that feeds me of course. I will be starting mining operations and industrial development as soon as everything is set. You being the main trade partner of course.”

"I don't knoooow...." Uso said, "I kinda like the idea of a good shootin-fight. We wrecked the last rebellion by getting them to join up with us..." She frowned intensely, "I mean, you're not wrong. Its just boring. I still wanna do this with a little pizzaz.

How about you let me laser my face into a city? Or a mountain? Maybe nuke one of their battlefields to show we mean buisness?"

Uso would bring up an image of the exterior... though it was just clouds for now as the U1 descended,

"Where we landin anyways?"

“In a large city in the plains, south east of the continent. It’s called Fahen I believe, if I do remember correctly.” Kyro stated. He then checked his person to see if he had all of his equipment. Fatboy on his right hip, modified Broadsword on his left, IBR slung over his back, and a Fatboy come set sitting around his neck.

“It seems I am fully prepared for this trip. I assume you will be next to me during the arrival?” He asked Uso.

"ME, and like, a billion drones," Uso said, "It'll look like we're lightweight but we've got enough firepower to burn anything that comes at us,"

The U1 would end up breaking through the cloud cover, the interior display of their crew compartment giving them a great view of Fahen.

".... Come on man, this is your show. Where do we land?"

“In this City should suffice. Recent scanning from Lora Kingsley has produced some information about this place as well.” Kyro said to Uso. He scratched his head for a second trying to remember what exactly she said then stated, “Weather this information is helpful or not. I’m not completely sure. However, the city is called FEIN! Not Fahen, that’s the faction, it’s called, ‘The Demkcratic Republic of Fahen.”

Kyro pulled out a Dead King coin and started to move it between his fingers. Kyro has his blank emotionless expression on his face that would make you believe that he was not interested in the mission. He stated again, “Please, do not invite me to another one of those celebrations again. I do not understand them and would prefer to be security than a participant.”

"OH come on, you enjoyed it..." Uso ribbed, poking him with her elbow while they sat in the claustrophobic transport compartment. "If you're going to have a stick up your butt the whole time we do anything then you're going to kill morale and attract terrible people who only want to work for someone like you. Those people suck. They are boring and they do boring things." She explained,

"Release in 10," The pilot called out over the intercom, the U1 quickly dropping altitude to bring it down towards the ground, not wanting to spend any time more than necessary in range of whatever anti-air defense systems would be in place.

"So we need to settle this now then. We calling these guys the FA-HEN? The D-R-F? Something catchy like the DeRiF?" She asked, painfully torturing the pronunciation of her last word to get it as close to giraffe as possible.

The City of FEIN!

The magnetic clamps let go of the transport, letting it slow under its own power and come to a stop just on the edge of the city. The rear door opening as soon as it came to a stop.

"Call it now, your adoring public await."

Kyro steps out, he looked out to the large city where the people started to notice them. A small group of what seemed to be civilians covered in coal were coming down the street and spotted them. Some carried pickaxes and they froze staring at them.

There was a long pause in awkward silence between them. Kyro looked back at Uso and said, “I was assuming a, less positive response. However, this I can work with.” He turned back around and walked up to the road and then nodded at the civilians and continued down to the city.

They were speechless and just stared at him as he walked down the road without a care.

The City of FEIN!

Uso would keep pace behind Kyro, letting go of her gun and letting it flop onto the gooey armor that was now encasing her below the neck... the slow, heavy, movements seeming to get the best of her,

"BAH! HEEL!" she shouted, causing the armor to flow off her and puddle up into a ball that followed behind her by about 2 feet.

"Fucking thing is too heavy... like moving in Syrup.... So anyways!"

She turned her attention right back to him, getting in close, the Neko's bodysuit hugging her tightly as she kept on speaking,

"We going to say hi to these people? Take us to your leader or somesuch? I love saying that line. We could totally ask those people over there or is this stoic talking thing part of your plan? Honestly zero people here are going to think we're locals. I got a floating tank and uh... goo-armor stuff. That's waaaay out of their price range right now."

Turning to Uso he would slow down a bit until she was next to him. He then looked out to their right and they could see vast open plains and tall grass. Kyro looked more comfortable than before, he didn’t seem to be acting forced.

Kyro stated, “Our goal is to meet the local leaders, then eventually their main faction leader. If you have admiration to say that to them when we ask, go ahead. Just don’t threaten anyone. I do believe that we should enjoy this bliss, while it last.”

Kyro and Uso arrive in the city, the buildings are made of brick and wood, and the street is made of cobblestone. Some old primatial cars drive by them with open roofs. Most of the people who notice Kyro and Uso, stare at Uso more than Kyro. They have a look of confusion on their faces and don’t know how to exactly respond to the situation. Most of them are wearing cloth appearal as it is a bit colder today, around 60*F.

Kyro quietly told Uso, “It would appear that you’ve already grown quite popular here Uso.” He smirks.

"UUUUgghhhhh....." Uso certainly didn't sound gruntled. In fact, she sounded quite the opposite, her long groan seeming well suited for overly long car trips or standing in line behind the slowest people in the world.

"Time is the fire in which we all burn and this place is a fucking inferno...."

"BWWWHHHHHHHH" Uso did her best to make fire-noises with her lips, holding up her fingers and wiggling them to try and give the best approximation of what a fire would look like if it were burning all around them.

She'd finally turn her attention to the people around them,

"I am kinda popular. People like me. I'm likeable. So how about we kick this into high gear? Really, you know, get in there and uh... 'diplomatize these guys'.

Kyro stopped in the middle of the intersection and looked waited there. It wouldn’t take long before a crowd would start to form around the two of them. The Xunoks would look at them with a large mix of different expressions. Some were giving confused while others were scared.

Kyro took a look at the crowd and whispered to Uso, “Our ‘special’ guest have arrived.”

This is when a group of men would break through the crowd, some of them held primitive semi automatic rifles (WW1) and a man in a full navy blue suit walks up to him. The man has short black hair and is 5’10. Looking up to Kyro he said, “Do you understand me stranger? Where did you and your... friend come from?” His voice was very calm and collected.

Kyro answered him, “My name is Kyro-bel Draguun. I understand the confusion. We come from space. I am here to offer you assistance.”

The crowd is unsure how to handle this. They seem more confused than before. The man stated, “I am Mayor Derick, this is... quiet unexpected. I will have to send word to the capital of your intents. However, I never fought your name miss...” He looked at Uso.

No doubt the crowd could see what was going on. There was a small blob following the woman around... that certainly wasn't an animal from around here... but the closer someone looked, the more they would see that didn't fit in. A set of space-age looking pistols and a rifle were suspended inside of the goo along with a clunky green backpack. Her suit was made from extraordinarily fine fabrics that were beyond what could be produced even for royalty here. The glass rectangle hanging off her hip certainly didn't seem like a charm or decoration.

She also had 4 fingers instead of 5... though for the time being she kept her ears tucked away under her hair so as to stand out less.

And of course, there was the floating tank that was following them at distance.

"HI! I am Uso Tasuki, nice to meet you!" Her language was perfect, as if she had just downloaded and installed a language pack for this planet... which she did. "I am an aspiring space empress, and I think we can get along famously... I mean, Kyro-here is going to be liasoning for the most part. Making sure this whole thing runs smoothly... think of him like, Project Management for this whole thing if you guys have that yet. If not then oh boy do you need it. So lets find out what we can collaborate on...but first."

Uso grinned, she knew Wazu loved saying it and she was thrilled every time she got to steal one out from under him. She was practically wringing her hands together.

"... Take us to your leader!"

Derick smirked and nodded to her, he then stated, “Well, I would only assume that...” As derick turned back to his escorts he would whisper into one of their ears. After a miment he turned back to them as the soldier ran off.

“So, why would you offer us help here? Beg my rudeness however, you’re strangers here. And I dislike the idea of you knowing us and we not knowing of you.” Derick explained.

Kyro would nod then reply, “I can understand the confusion. However, I have to believe that another war will break soon. It is with our best interest that the DRF, KT, and PN survive and win.”

Derick raises an eyebrow and says, “what is your true intentions stranger. You come to us speaking of war after we have just concluded. There is something off with your tounge... shall I fix it for you.”

Kyro shakes his head and stares down at the man taking a step forward then putting his hand on his shoulder. The soldiers would immediately point their weapons at Kyro. “I don’t think you understand here Mr. Derick. We have an army sting enough to destroy your planet more than 8 times over. I would reconsider your next words very carefully and comply with my generous commands. Before I allow her to take over for me here.” Kyro said in a very deep and intimidating voice with no emotion and was rough on the ears.

Derick started to sweat as he looked back at Uso and the hovering tank following behind. He gulps and said, “A-Alright Sir... you have a deal...” Kyro takes his hand off of him as Derick sighs in relief and grabs his chest.

"Great! now that we have that sorted how about you stop pointing guns at us for a little while... I mean, I think Kyro here will probably die if you shoot him... but it'll just make me angry.

Mostly because I plan to make Kyro do a lot of the work... Kinda looking to lounge about on this one.

Of course I say 'THIS ONE' like we do this all the time. We've really only done this to a few planets. We're like, really good at it by now...

So your leader-people. Lets find them and have that talk!" Uso asked.

Kyro ignores the statement Uso made and continues to stare down Derick. Derick is sweating like a pig. “Understood Miss...” He then turns around and puts his hands up. The soldiers lower their rifles and look a bit intimidated.

Kyro has a slight smirk on his face as he inspected the soldiers. “They don’t feed you enough do they. Not enough respect either.” He said in his tone. They looked at him confused and one of them asked, “Did your fancy space gear figure that out to Mister?”

Kyro shaked his head. “No, I was a lieutenant back in the day. I’ve been in war. I know how moral works and you are all lacking. Why do you fight for something you don’t believe in. I will never know. Is it for the money? Are you that shallow of men.”

They all look down and stare at their slightly worn apperal. Derick is sweating even more and looks nervous. “N-now Sir, I must assure you that we do f-“ Kyro cut him off and shouts, “You think you’re going to convince me!” Kyro grabbed Derick by the collar and lifts him off the ground. “You think, you can simply think of war as a tool for diplomacy?! Well here’s a voice from a soldier! War is a tool, however it’s the last resort! You filthy politicians don’t understand that now do you? It’s all about the money and power!” Kyro throws him onto the ground.

“You have 5 minutes, or else I’m taking over TODAY!”

“Hey, wait a minute,” Uso said, stepping forward and putting her hand on Kyro's wrist as if she was going to help out the soldier that Kyro was lifting up.

"I thought I was doing the bad cop thing. If you do the bad cop thing then I need to either shift to good cop or go worse cop which I can totally do but YOU are the one that said no lasering faces into the ground, or their moon, or dropping nukes, or having any fun and I have to be boring while I'm out here otherwise you'll throw a hissy fit..."

Uso's hand would slowly slide up Kyro's hand until it reached the other man's throat, then his chin, thin his mouth, cupping over it so that he couldn't talk, adding,

"Also, you hush. Space-Adults are talking."

Kyro takes a step back and stares at the soldiers standing there unsure what to do. That was when the one that ran off came running back and shouted, “Sir! Prime Minister Yui May wishes to speak with them immediately! She has gathered the ambassadors from all other countries to handle this.” When he turned and saw Kyro staring him down his face went pale and he pointed his rifle at him and shot Kyro in the arm. The gun shot echoed through the quiet city as he shouted, “You attacked the mayor!”

The others quickly disarmed him and pinned him to the floor. Derick now looked absolutely terrified. For he did not know the hell that they might have unleashed. The civilians all started to take a couple of steps back. Not knowing what is going to happen.

Kyro looked down at his arm and saw the hole going through his upper arm and no exit wound. He slowly turned back to them and said, “Good timing I suppose. Tell me, where will we be able to find this, Yui May?”

Blood was slowly seeping out and making his uniform turn a reddish black. He didn’t seem affected by it and looked down to Derick. Derick responded with, “U-Understood sir... that would be in Uxahl... the capital, around a few miles south east...”

Kyro nodded and turned to Uso. “Well, now we have a location and a proper meet up. I think it’s about time we leave these people to their day.”

"This is why I wanted to do badcop. You've got this thing where you die when shot by bullets." Uso complained, pulling out her P1 pistol and

*BAM*

quickly blowing a hole right through her hand. She'd press it against Kyro's wound and let her blood start to seep in. The nanomachines beginning to repair him just as fast as they were repairing her.

"How 'bout you let me do the talking on the next one? gauge the room, set things up, introduce you as my big-bad here to handle things on the planet while I'm out doing space stuff?"

Kyro nodded, "As long as you keep a leveled head... I'm sure this will be successful. Also, you harming yourself was not necessary. I cannot feel pain there anymore. I've been trained to be extremely tolerant to pain. Shall we then?" He jesters back to the ship like a gentleman and moves her hand off of his arm.

He turns to the Fahen soldiers and stated, "Trust me, when we're done. You won't have to worry about living like dogs. I treat my soldiers as if they were my brothers. Not tools for petty gains. Good day." With that he starts to walk back down the road, back to the transport.

"I'm always level-headed, what are you talking about?" Uso asked, watching as he offered food to the Fahen soldiers, "... shit, should we just be talking to their military? IF food is that big a deal we could take over this whole thing today."

The Fahen soldiers looked at each other and looked uncomfortable at the offer for a minute. Eventually one of them walked up and took the food offered and nodded his head to Uso. He stepped back and gave it to the others.

Meanwhile, Kyro is watching and said, “That May infact be true. Might also make this easier for us. However, let’s get a good look at the entire situation first before we start anything.”
