I am looking forward to seeing Star Trek Picard, the first episode airs on January 23, 2020.

Who else is looking forward to this? I was excited to see the fact they plan on fleshing out the story behind Nemesis and including both the Romulans and the Borg. The Romulans have been my favorite Star Trek faction since I was just a kid.

The 3rd Trailer

No offense against prequels in general, but there's a lot of timeline issues with some of the Star Trek prequel series so I'm hoping being in the future gives them more room to work with things. I'm kind of like "please be good!" I may sign up for a free trial of CBS All Access and try to binge all the new Star Trek on there.

I am on the fence and trust me I am a diehard trekkie. But they messed up quite often and so I am also hoping it’s good. They are touching two of my least favorite races. The borg and romulans... one overpowered and the other not predictable

I am curious more than anything and hope to see good things happen in the series. Picard is one of my favorites from the series ( Yes I adore the actor that plays him ) and honestly, I can't wait and hope that they don't mess this up..... I will be so upset if they do.

I love Trek, I'm really excited about it. I have misgivings, due to Children of Mars being... 9/11 in space. I don't want a dark Federation. That said, being done well covers a multitude of sins. It will be interesting to see what they make of it.

It sort of looks like "corrupt government" to me? One of my favorite things was Picard'd unending belief in the Federation and that it guided him. Now it seems like they're going to flip that and make him a renegade. Not too into it. It doesn't look like we'll be seeing any old faces long term besides 7 of 9 who seems... different now.

I'm a terrible sequel or reboot consumer. I usually just want the same thing served to me on a new plate, you know? Probably won't watch except to pick up gardening tips from Troi and listen to the smooth cadence of Riker's voice for the one episode they'll likely appear in. Oh and to see what their kid looks like :D

Saw it this morning, my initial review was "solid scifi, interesting story, seeds of some good trek planted, not trek yet." However, as I've been able to mull it over through the day, I'm still not sure it's Trek. However, I'm absolutely certain it's some of the Best Sci-fi. Their nailing a lot of really good beats, and I feel like they need just a tiny bit to push them over the edge. Picard's interactions with the girl were awesome and walked a very fine line. I expect that I'll become a huge fan of the series with a Picard Speech in the next episode or two. If they keep it up, it will be the best first season of Star Trek and the second (Discovery) won't be some pushover.

I saw the episode and without much or any spoilers my verdict. I’m a skeptical when it comes to new Star Trek series and that’s because the essence of what Star Trek is can easy be messed up. However, Picard is setting the bar for Star Trek on a new level. It’s easy to follow, it doesn’t stay to vague and tells a great story to start with. I think that people who never saw Star Trek can enter this series without a fuzz :) I look forward to more!

I will watch it later today. No spoilers yet!

I would like to see it, but not going to see it probably until it comes out on DVD, no budget for extra streaming apps

I've not seen it yet either. I plan on doing so tonight if I can. 'cause I'm looking forward to seeing Jean-Luc again after so many years.

I finally got to watch the whole first season and it was pretty decent. I went in with low expecations and was pleasantly surprised.

Same as Wes! I think there was thought put into each character as far as "why are they here and who they are" and their tragic backstories amplified the whole thing towards its crescendo. Now I don't know how they'll find new story arch but, at least it was fun and didn't do the things I was afraid of in the ways I expected.

I can't really see that. But the "specialists" should have "procured" the series by now. So I will see for myself now that I am bored enough. Lol
