RP: YSS Hana [YSS Hana] Mission Two: No More Worlds to Conquer

Zoeichi, who was previously holding up the rear, looked up at Shinrin's command and grinned faintly, turning on her feet. "Providing them with a hard target," she stated into comms. Her Barrier Shield module hummed to live and no 5 seconds later, she was protected by the energy barrier. Which she then decided to use by pushing herself in the middle of the hallway. Dropping one of her swords and pulling up the Scalar SMG from her hip. Spraying it through the door, responding to the enemy fire. The gauss cannon on her shoulder thumping loudly as she dumped round after round through the door. Hoping to take some of the heat off of squadmates and onto her. Be a big, loud factor they needed to deal with.

Aphrodi smiled as she slides to the weapon systems and got to work trying to track the enemy ship going for the away crew. She was having none of it as she prepared to fire the ship's guns and caused a distraction for the crew even for a moment. She gave herself a small smile because she was doing something extremely helpful for the crew.

She planned her shots strategically, as she aimed for the Elefirn ship "Okay Ma'am, I have a lock on and have calculated the best places to fire to cause a distraction for the enemy on board with our crew."

Several power green armor-clad Elefirn fell, specifically those targeted by the Hana crew members using excessive force. A shot's kinetic impact from a shot struck Aratani and made her shoulder snap backwards before she pressed onwards, ever-forward.

"We... Can't.... Let them..." the silvery haired Neko said through gritted teeth, "...Win!"

She shot her shoulder weapons and handheld hard and fast at Juno's targeted enemy and together, they were able to down the Elefirn power armor, who fell slowly and then all at once as she became splayed out on the ground.

The scientist's quintessent wave differentialometer scans would show that the few power armors left in front of the Hana crew were guarding the bridge. Meanwhile, behind them, the door had remained shut and the armored Elefirn were finding a different passage to go down, further from them. A third group was moving in from the opposite direction of only two armors.

Shinrin called out, "Sivins-hei, what are your readings showing?"

A squadron of four fighters streamed from the Elefirn ship and on the bridge's sensors, they could see the heavy payload-bearing vessels making staggered beelines for the YSS Hana.

"I want them to be so scared of us," Kamikaze said, "that they give up the ship to us before their reinforcements arrive!" To the helm, she spoke, "Weapons," she said, turning her attention. "Knock down their fighters as we make our approach! Mission ops, I want our bridge to know what side of the ship our team is on. Helm, take us in close and approach their other side, the one our crew is far from. Avoid their main weaponry by all means. Hasewega-heisho, compile an analysis of the away team's efforts, as was your plan."

When the other neko barely responded and continued getting ready Sakura simply shrugged, guess some people prefer not to talk before a mission. Instead of pursuing conversation the cook simply finished her pre mission checks and waited for Sakaki's lead, soon following her crew mate into the blackness of space and towards the enemy ship which had already been boarded by the rest of the team. It seemed they would be, quite, late to the party which while it was annoying wouldn't necessarily kill her.

As they moved at breakneck speed through the merciless void Sakura considered trying to talk several more times but shook off each one, she was the type of person who would make small talk to take her mind off the job at hand. Not to suppress fear or nerves but rather to help her team, knowing that there was always at least one who got pre mission jitters. However this girl didn't seem phased by the whole ordeal, a refreshing change of pace for the cook that was sure.

"Well since you like her so much why not marry her" Of course her snarky side decided to ruin the peace as they sped along, running her thought train clean off the rails and into the sea of catastrophe. "Well I should at least buy her dinner first right?" She shot back... at herself although she spoke out loud accidentally instead of keeping her thoughts to herself.

Before long they reached the breach the team had made and began the long game of catch-up, Sakura dearly wishing she'd finished her loadout modifications before heading into battle with a standard issue mindy and a scalar SMG. To say she missed her mindy attachments was an understatement, with a dejected sigh she drew the weapon and took up point ahead of Sakaki, she was supposed to protect her after all. "Well I'm glad nothing eventful happened on the way over hear, but now we may actually have to turn off the autopilot and keep a lookout for any stragglers left behind." Sakura said through the comms to her companion, noting the few corpses they passed.

Once the gunfire and explosions had ceased, Juno raised her head over the forearm shield she was toting around to make sure nothing was moving - a curt nod was given before the combat engineer rotated herself 180 degrees again until her feet connected with the flooring. "Fucken Aye, thats how we- oh shit," an unseen smile smile faded from beneath her lightly scratched helmet as her vividly green eyes rested on the impact mark of Aratani-Hei's shoulder.

Juno let the barrel of the grenade-launcher fall until it was facing the ground, her trigger finger flipped the safety off and she spoke with a softer yet still upbeat tone. "Hey 'Zumi, you alright?" the minkan asked the neko, hoping that at the worst it was a fracture or two.

Stein continued to hose the corridor down with salvos from his chain gun as he advanced with Aratani. "Watch our flanks!" He reminded through the squad channel. "Don't let them sneak up on us!" He added as he continued to fire down the hall.

He checked his status and all was still green. He smirked. "I still got it." He thought as he poured it on. He was't going to be upstaged at a gun fight.

Aradia's response was swift: "We're on the right track! The door down there is leading to some sort of heavily-armored room, probably their bridge or armory! We need to push forward while the group behind us is making their way around, though." She checked the scanner's readout once more, briefly looking through the approximated hallways and rooms that were being displayed to best guess their route. "They're moving fast, but we have enough time to push forward before they'll start shooting at us!

That seemed about right - she hoped. The entire team would be in a lot of trouble - no, screwed - if the moving Elefirn managed to pin them down here. Their best bet was to push towards that armored room for a new angle of defense. And then maybe breach it? Who knows. That'll have to be figured out when it becomes a priority.

Shoi Thorsson nodded to Hasewga as she buckled in, nodding in assent. Since she'd sat down, the officer had been mapping the battlespace inside and around the enemy ship, a 3D wireframe depiction of the two ships on her screen. Notably, it didn't show damage or such and seemed more like a theoretical guessed model of positions.

The four fighters were visible moving fast towards the Hana with the locations of everyone's Mindies pinging crimson balls on the battlespace. Layered around it on her screen, the apparent ex-pilot had laid out visuals of what the away team were seeing and tried her best to mark locations of enemies that had been spotted on the fly.

Satisfied with what she had, though it was a little rough - she hadn't really done this before - Asrid pulled her golden ponytail gently over her right shoulder. "Hai, onscreen now." The sapphire-eyed woman flashed a shrunk-down version of the map onto the corner of the shared Bridge viewscreen, what she judged the fastest way for everyone to get an idea instantly. She kept it to the bottom corner, as to not obscure or distract for the action already there.

"Noted and moving!" After the response from Gaillard, the pilot pumped the metaphorical gas pedal on this speedy vessel, and began moving the Hana around to the opposite side of the Elefirn spaceship. Although, he wasn't going to make a beeline toward that spot, for he also wanted to not get hit by the oncoming vessels.

"Though I really, really don't wanna play chicken with these guys!"

Aphrodi used both the viewscreen and her own screens to try and work out a way to aim at the fighters flying towards them, she hissed as she tried to get a lock on them and nodded "All in the clear here, I have a lock on the ships and I hope they are ready for what is coming their way." She smiled as she fired at the ships, she hoped to either get a hit or cause them to change their path away from the crew and ships. She grinned as she managed to hit one down with the fifth shot and looked at the viewscreen and nodded "One down and the others are coming in for an attack."

She kept shooting as she watched them dodge and roll to avoid her shots, they fired at the Hana but didn't get through the shielding with their shots "Seems they are testing our ship, lets change that to be don't mess with this ship." She fired more shots at them and managed to down another fighter with a shot aimed at a different one as they dodge rolled into the shot.

Sakura and Sakaki, were not mauled by enemy combatants for a short while until they were near the hallway that the rest of the team was. There was a duo of greenish power armor. Them and the Mindy-clad Neko were equidistant to the hallway that the Hana team was down, the former being on starboard side and the latter, towards port side.

The Elefirn finally dropped, but only after Shinrin's armor began showing yellow damage and Zoechi's chest region was shot up to the bright orange on her HUD.

The team lead shouted, "Find a way in through that door. Use the access panel!" She looked behind herself, towards the four about to get into a firefight. She asked the cook and SAINT, "You have our backs, Santô Hei?"

"Good... Easy now, fly right at 'em...." Kamikaze said assuredly.

Juno took the lack of response as something good or at least better than a bunch of pained screams, she released the grip on her grenade launcher and let it float in the gravity-lacking environment as the combat engineer helped Kazumi to her feet. "Well you're in one piece at least, heh..." she said reassuringly with a thumbs up and a weak smile behind the Mindy's helmet before she moved over to the next access panel.

No flashy moves, no trying to impress people, just do your job...

"Opening 'er up" Juno alerted her teammates, pressing an armoured fist into the biggest button she could find before a few steps were taken back to pick up the grenade launcher she left floating about lazily.

Latch paused, but he didn't stop the Hana. "Okaaaay.... Kaze-taii, maintaining speed and trajectory...!" Every instinct is telling him to pull another maneuver right now, but these guys are not missiles whatsoever, and this is their captain telling him to do this! The Iroma really hoped that she knew what he was doing.

Despite filled with doubt, Latch straightened the ship and picked up speed, going right at the enemy with the assumed intent on ramming them.

Sakura had been enjoying the relative peace as they made their way through the ship up until the moment they locked gazes with the two enemies ahead of them. It seemed the two had been trying to flank their teammates which did not sit nicely with Sakura, she jumped on the team comms hoping she wouldn't be interrupting too much. "There are two enemy power armours coming at you guys from the rear, Sakaki and I are engaging now."

While she had been speaking, Sakura leveled her coherant aether rifle and fired off several shots aiming for body shots on the two armours, giving her the best chance of hitting her mark. "Sakaki find cover! Those shots probably wont kill them so be ready for a fight." The grey neko tucked down and dove towards the nearest alcove she could find, with no shield like some others the cover she found was all Sakura had to protect her in a firefight.

No sooner than Juno had stepped back to her weapon, a short winged Mindy took her place at the access panel. "We're trying to get IN, not lock ourselves out! Don't break it!"

As she complained about the soldier's reckless actions, the scientist started fiddling with the panel itself. The door was locked - it led to the bridge after all - so Shen needed to do some... coaxing.

Using her claw-like gloves, Aradia started to pry the panel off. Attached to it a backside was a network of conductive wires relating many of the buttons to each other and the starship. She didn't have time to figure out whether it was a passcode lock, some sort of voice lock, or something else - all that was needed was to send the right signal to the right place...

Wires were snapped open, their insulating covers stripped. Two from that big button - hopefully one was the output to the door - and what she could only guess to be the basic input wire were crossed together, completing a circuit.

She only hoped it was the right one...

“I..” Juno began speaking before realising she didn’t actually have anything to say. Whst was wrong with her today? was she just bad at her job jn general? had all of the jumping between stages of alertedness earlier worn her out? Physically she felt fine but maybe she was just being stubborn again, only thing that was certain was that none of this was going to look good on her record.

“I’ll... just go take up the rear again...” Juno said with a defeated sigh as she moved to the corner and half-heartedly stuck her grenade launcher around it, holding the trigger down for a moment as thermite-filled canisters were lobbed toward the enemy power armours.

Her parents were probably right to disown her, a Santo Hei and still a fuck up.

Watching the brief encounter between Juno and Aradia and Juno joining back at her side, Zoeichi glanced back to Aradia. Her voice seeping into the comms. "Shinrin-juni, Sivins-hei," she piped up. "They're probably stacked and waiting," it was at this moment Zoeichi heard the gunfire from Sakura and Sakaki facing down a couple of Elefirn. She turned on her heels, before glancing back at their field commander. Her form shifted to meet the enemy if they managed to defeat Sakaki and Sakura. She hadn't been commanded to assist them either. "So mayhaps it'd be best to let me charge through with my boosters." A grin spread across her face, despite it being hidden by the mask. Her interface told her her chest armour had taken several hits already. But her barrier module was charged. "Shock and disrupt them." She had enough survivability to do it, she reckoned.

Though still posed towards Sakura and Sakaki's position outside their hallway. Ready to intervene with them on a dime. If her suggestion was turned down and she was told to do so. Her plasma boosters momentarily hummed regardless. She was more than ready. Zoeichi was eager.
