General View

  • Build: Lean and Wiry with little fat, Ahrim stands at an almost too average height of five foot eight inches tall. Never shirking his daily training, Ahrim keeps his body to the same high physical standard as his mind.
  • Skin Color: Ahrim's skin is olive in hue, but with many whiter scars marring his body from years of conflict and war. To most these may appear nothing more than blemishes upon the skin, but to Ahrim they are his history.
  • Facial Features: Ahrim's face is one of angular lines with high cheekbones, squared chin and aquiline nose typical of his people.
  • Eye color: Among the Sund Wakir gray eyes are uncommon, seen as a blessing of Ruh by some for his great wisdom. Others attribute the color to Jafar for his indomitable spirit in watching over and protecting those under his care.
  • Hair color and Style: Ahrim's gray hair is usually kept short in a sort of tousled styling.

Symbiotics

Due to decrepitude of the physical form through age, the scars of war and loss of limb, Ahrim's body is composed of a mass of Symbiotics. These allow him to outlive and outstrip the frail physicality and lifespan of one of the Dreamers' chosen. It is not a path many if any at all would choose. But those that know of him, know his devotion to the Vigil and his seeming bent as its eternal watcher.

  • Enhanced Bone Structure: Through the usage of bio-nanotechnology, semi-organic filaments of carbon nano-fiberous material has been seamlessly interwoven amongst the dense connective tissues enhancing the artificial skeleton, allowing greater load bearing and shock absorption with minimal risk of breaks or fractures given stresses or impacts.
  • Prajna/Artificial Blood Substitute: A co-mingling of Prajna and artificial blood substitutes replace his blood and more efficiently repair damage to his symbiotics with alacrity.
  • Prajna-Gel Based Wound Sealing: Composed of glnadular excretions of Prajna Gel this seals wounds, decreases bleed out and enhances overall regeneration.
  • Glandular Drug Excretion: Ahrim has several implanted synthetic glands grafted throughout his body that releases a variety of different drugs into her bloodstream. Some produce only when needed while others release a constant supply that may increase or decrease in output depending on certain stimuli or through thought-derived commands. These drugs are high-grade nootropics, pain relievers, and Bherstim.
  • Saturation-Type Enhancements: Long chains of colonies in-between artificial muscle tissue bolster Ahrim's physical strength. While his strength is far beyond the norm, other colonies of the Saturation-Type have sense been grafted to his brain which provide a means of wireless communication with local networks and to increase his empathic abilities.
  • Homunculous-Type Enhancements: Homunculous-type enhancements have been grafted to the skeletal structure and connecting soft tissues in the form of artificial organs to replace old, or less efficient versions.

History

Pre-Military

Much of Ahrim's life is shrouded in mystery. This is partly due to his reticence to discuss parts of his past and whatever ills it may have held, but also through the passage of time. What is known however attributes to his rise as the High Guardian of the Vigil and less so concerning his days from Intiate to Knight.

Fighting/Physical

The Temple Guard are elite among the elite compared to standard infantry, and their training regiments reflect this. They are trained extensively in the use of traditional melee devices such as blades, polearms and shields, and receive the same firearms training as elite VIA agents. Because they are often trusted with the safety of diplomats and religious figures, they are also trained to place themselves in the way of a potentially lethal attack and have the reflexes to do so effectively. They are trained to exceed the basic marksman qualifications, and can place accurate shots with rifles at 200 meters and with pistols at 25 meters. Temple guard are always in excellent physical form, with sufficiently high endurance to survive situations such as elevated G-forces and enough stamina for prolonged ground assaults. Ahrim's training coupled with the long years of his service and experiences have pushed the boundaries of what the Temple Guard are normally taught.

Humanities/Knowledge

More than just a warrior, Temple Guard must hold the values of the The Dreamer Vigil close to heart. They have extensive knowledge of the religious texts of the Iromakuanhe and know how to apply it to increase morale, in ways ranging from battle chants to inspirational tales from the ancient histories of the Iromakuanhe, and their ancestors, the Saal. They can act as leaders in ceremonies, meditation and perform a variety of blessings, if only for purely spiritual reasons, however, their “laying on hands” is considerably more effective due to the empathic nature of their species.

Technology Operation

Ahrim has had extensive courses in the use of NI systems aboard the Organoid craft employed by the Astral Vanguard, and understands how to properly utilize his own entry ports to interface with compatible systems. The use of standard-issue electronic devices and conventional computers have also been a part of his education.

Communications

Ahrim is capable of using all standard communications found in the Iromakuanhe Astral Commonwealth, in particular those employed by the Astral Vanguard. This includes laser, radio and MASC-enhanced variations in various formats and media. He is fluent in Saalsari, Haidasari, Trade and can speak, read and write them correctly. He can communicate clearly even while under fire or in other unnerving situations.

Medical

Ahrim is more than capable of basic medical techniques, including everything up to first aid, emergency care such as CPR or the Heimlich maneuver and the administering of pre-prepared medicine, such as painkillers or stimulants.

Vehicles

Ahrim has advanced comprehension and practical ability in the piloting of a Powered Frame unit, capable of flying under most conditions and operating all of the onboard weaponry safely and efficiently in combat scenarios. He can make complex battlefield maneuvers while under high stress (combat, etc) and adjust his movements to compensate for all logical combat variables (gravity, weapons fire, atmospheric conditions, etc). He understands the basic functionality of his machine and can make repairs to subsystems as needed. More than just well trained in their use, he has sufficient ability that it would almost seem that his abilities were ingrained on an instinctual level.

Leadership

Ahrim has learned the essentials of tactics and command, and has honed them to a razor's edge. He is capable of giving and following tactical orders quickly and efficiently in combat scenarios and can follow the command structure of his unit or wing while under highly stressful conditions (combat, etc). He is capable of making use of the information given to him (tactical maps, target statistics, marked targets, etc) and finding relevant information to send to the rest of his unit. He is also well-versed in marine boarding tactics for ship-to-ship combat, as well as urban and guerrilla warfare for ground assaults.
