Build and Skin Color: She has a curvy body, well proportioned and attractive. She is very fit and agile. Her skin is tanned as one would be after a summer spent outdoors.
Eyes and Facial Features: Amanozako has narrow deep red eyes. Her face is angular and her expression usually shows little to no emotion.
Ears: Neko style with black fur
Hair Color and Style: Her wavy hair is jet black and very long, reaching to the base of her spine. She keeps the locks pinned away from her face with a plain red hair clip.
Distinguishing Features: Amanozako has few marks on her skin save from her genetic makers marks. She attempted to remove them by burning her skin, but to no avail as her ability to heal repaired the damage.
Personality: Amanozako has a lot of anger she keeps contained within her calm exterior. She is able to present a pleasant if not slightly socially awkward outward presence despite her anger and rage towards her former Mishhuvurthyar masters. She can be easy to get along with, when she needs to get along with others, and is generally not quick to show her anger, but towards her prey, she is relentless, ruthless and unwavering. Her military origin gives her a very attention to detail focus in everything she does.
New Mishhuvurthyar Military
Created in a batch of mass produced Nekovalkyrja for the NMX Military in YE 33 and named Tomohiro Izumi, Amanozako was quickly trained with the absolute minimum essentials needed for her to function and shipped off to the front line to serve in the Infantry.
She quickly found herself in the middle of heavy combat in the NMX war against Yamatai. She slugged her way through many battlefields, how she survived all the fighting she saw in her first year she did not know, she was injured many times and rebuilt many times and saw many of her sisters killed horribly.
As time went on she was assigned to a new front line unit pressing hard into Yamatai space. Her new Advanced Mishhu master was cruel and harsh, despite the rules on treatment of their Nekovalkyrja. Punishment for failure, no matter how small was severe and unwarranted, reward for success was non existent aside from getting to live another day.
Amanozako became very disillusioned as her short, hard life ground on. Her master's mistreatment grew worse every day as the war spun on, making her life more bleak and pointless every passing moment. It did not matter what she did. Her body was expendable. She could be killed and respawned and indeed she was, repeatedly, twice in battle and twice as punishment for her failures in combat.
Attempting to take her own life did little to help, as she was just brought back and punished in other, much worse ways.
She finally snapped in mid YE 34. Slogging it out on the battlefield, she witnessed her master execute innocents and a Neko that had refused to perform the executions, Amanozako broke. She killed her master, blasting him to pieces with her impaler rifle, then, cutting its tentacles off with her blade. Then she ran and ran. Ditching most of her identifying gear as she went. The battle had been going bad and the position she and her master had been holding was overrun and bombarded into oblivion. As far as anyone knew, she and her Mishhu overlord had been immolated.
Amanozako ran for so long, hopping from one planet to the next. She didn't know what to do with herself. While she still felt conflict from her programmed loyalty to the NMX, she felt absolute hatred and disgust for her creators and what they had forced her and her sisters to do. She vowed to kill any Mishhu she came across in revenge
Casting off the name given to her by the Mishhu, she chose a new one, Amanozako, the name of an ancient demon goddess. She began her new life. She was a warrior and was trained to kill and battle. So she would continue to do so, but for her own ends and to gain the money needed to achieve those ends. So she became a bounty hunter.
Equipping herself and taking her first difficult jobs, she was challenged and nearly killed, but was also exhilarated and driven on by the rush of the hunt and the exaltation of personal victory over her targets.
She was hooked. She knew this was her calling. She quickly proved to be bloodthirsty, deadly and unrelenting, often bringing in her bounties dead rather than alive when given the option and showing no qualms about killing.
She took job after job, with no time for break or rest. Having been nearly always on the battlefield, she knew little of the concept of rest and near nothing of socialization. While she wasn't unpleasant, she wasn't the most socially adept and tended to keep to herself. This was okay with that.
After operating on her own for some time, Amanozako ended up with a group of bounty hunters. Working with others is something she had never expected to do, let alone planned on. She had happened to be hunting the same targets as them, and took the targets out with a quick draw of her HHGs. After some adventures, including helping to steal the transport Iron Ferret, she joined the group and worked with them for some few years.
While Amanozako was and always will be a loner, she found the partnership advantageous for many reasons both professional and personal. She did develop a relationship with one of the leaders of the small group of hunters, Desmond Stroud, who she became seriously involved with over time.
Along the way, the ex-NMX Neko continued to display her contempt and lack of pity towards her targets, choosing usually to take them dead, unless the bounty paid more for live deliveries. She amassed a decent amount of wealth, which she kept stashed away for future plans to avenge herself on her former masters and creators.
In YE37 luck smiled upon Amanozako. She had, at a whim, entered into one of Yamatai's holiday giveaway events and was rewarded with an unsuspected boon, the coordinates and salvage rights to an old abandoned NMX escort frigate. She and Desmond set out to recover the ship, which was surprisingly intact and in decent condition. Bringing the ship back to the nearest free port, Amanozako spent the bulk of her money in refitting the warship, which she named the Defiance, into a functional vessel. It took some severe modifications, including gutting out all the Mishhu bio-mechanical systems and having them replaced with conventional hardware. This had the added benefit of making the ship a place non NMX would feel like staying in without getting ill.
In her final mission with the bounty hunter group, Amanozako was badly wounded in a battle to storm an industrial complex as she was forced to, initially, single handidly take on an enemy in a crude flamethrower equipped power armor. During this fight she was badly burned and required some time to recover, even with her enhanced Neko healing abilities. Without access to a hemosynth tank, she needed time.
During her convalescence, the group disbanded for various reasons and she parted ways with Desmond. This is a recent and bitter wound to her pride and psyche that had yet to begin to heal.
With her group of compatriots scattered to the wind, Amanozako once again is on her own, taking jobs as she can get them. She is a lonely person, bitter and regretting parting from the people who she may have called friends, and one who was more.
She sometimes hires crew to assist her with operating her ship, though the new computer systems offer enough automation for her to pilot the ship on her own. Amanozako has appropriated an EM-J4-2a MARI (Space), which she calls Akuma, to assist with maintaining her ship.
Amanozako received hand-to-hand combat training, followed up with a rigorous training program. She is skilled and experienced in combat both in Yamatai-like conditions and in zero-gravity, with and without weapons. Weapons she is trained in include energy rifles, pistols, knives, and power armor.
Amanozako is familiar with basic radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from others through headsets, starships, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions.
Amanozako is familiar with how to effectively pilot most ground vehicles. She can make rudimentary repairs to her vehicle.
Amanozako knows how to survive in hostile environments. She can build shelters, hunt and forage for food, build a fire, etc. Amanozako can camouflage herself and is familiar with guerrilla warfare tactics.
Amanozako can understand and give out tactical commands and work with her troop to follow those commands efficiently. She knows the importance of teamwork on the battlefield, has been intensively trained in discipline and morale, and is able to recognize the command structure even while under extreme pressure (combat, etc). Amanozako is able to recognize ambush points. She knows basic math in order to calculate distances, etc, and can use a tactical map.
Amanozako is in good shape. She is strong, agile and used to strenuous physical activity.
