Build and Skin Color: Built like the typical ID-SOL, McGregor is packed with bulging muscles and a barrel chested build with meaty hands. It slightly restricts his movements however, and gives him a lot of appreciation for back scratchers and Neko. His skin is fair, but will still tan nicely if given too much sun.
Eyes and Facial Features: Squared and rugged, his face looks like it belongs to a human tank. As a result however, his brown eyes seem slightly smaller than they should be, giving them an almost beady appearance.
Hair Color and Style: The man keeps himself clean shaven, regularly going over his head with a razor to keep his head smooth. As a result the only hint at what his natural hair color would be his eyebrows or eyelashes. These appear to be a very dark brown.
Distinguishing Features: As a soldier who's seen action and as a prison guard, McGregor's seen his fair share of injuries. A number of cuts and grisly looking scars can be seen on his forarms and chest, while a trio of darker marks have peppered his right pectoral where he took fire from a submachinegun.
Personality: Despite being typically laid back and easy going, McGregor is not an idiot. When the situation is serious or something he feels is worth his attention, he puts on a no-nonsense attitude that cuts straight to the point. Staying focused on the objective, he tends to view things in a more long term perspective, weighing the pros and cons. This isn't perfect however, but in most cases, he is generally businesslike and professional so long as the other party doesn't try to play games. His patience can be quite short, which isn't too unexpected when it comes to an ID-SOL.
Decanted from his cloning tube in YE 28, McGregor was among some of the first new ID-SOLs made by the Nepleslian Star Empire in an effort to build up its military services. He served in Nepleslia's military for four years before retiring. It's during this time that he received a job in the Anthony Cadillac Institute for the Criminally Insane. During this time, he had to handle any number of inmates in the understaffed and underpaid facility, including cleo_oconner. However, with war looming on the horizon again, he rejoined the military after the Nepleslian senate was bombed.
Despite serving with distinction as infantry for a number of years, having found civilian life in Nepleslia not to his taste following his asylum job, McGregor found himself being retrained by the Intelligence and Pacification Group as a field operative in YE 39. However, much to his disappointment, he was being deployed on the Interregnum to watch over Cleo O'Conner and the foreign aliens on board. This quickly went south when command issued a kill order despite having just arrived. Doing the wisest thing, McGregor 'Noped Out', shoving a pregnant Ava Riggs out of the way as he climbed into an escape pod and ejected.
Unfortunately for him, following his discharge, he was hired by forces far outside of his control. Forces that, yet again, placed him with the former Interregnum crew.
