Height: 160cm (5' 3”) Mass: 45kg (99lbs) Measurements: Bra Size:
Build and Skin Color: Mai is relatively thin when compared to most Yamataian women, though not petite. Though she doesn't appear to be well toned, like most nekos, her muscles are well developed and lay elegantly underneath her tan skin.
Facial Features and Eye Color: Mai has a small forehead, making her face appear to be rounder, small eyelashes and eyebrows, as well as a smaller nose. Mai's eyes have a purple iris.
Hair Color and Style: Mai has black hair and wears it cut short, just below the jawline, in a bob hairstyle.
Distinguishing Features: Mai has no distinguishing features other than a genetic tattoo in the small of her back indicating where she was created.
Personality: Mai is best described as a warm and bubbly person, in fact if she were a fountain that's exactly what she'd be. Warm and Bubbly. Mai is a bit naive however, she's never really experienced the harshness of war nor the intricacies of politics. Likewise, her only experience of loss was the destruction of Nataria Fleet Yards, but Mai has bounced back adopting the belief that she can help whoever has survived. Mai believes that she can handle anything, but the truth couldn't be farther away. Her piloting though instinctive is far from skilled, and while Mai is a decent medic she isn't the best there is either. When Mai is reminded of her squadron, she fakes her happiness, though inside she still deeply grieves.
Likes: People, new things, work(any kind of work), fish. Dislikes: Nori (seaweed), spinach, needles (oh the irony). Goals: survive
Mai was created at one of the Mass Cloning Facilities on Nataria and trained as an Infantry specialist while she was still a youngling. During that time, Mai served in a Sylph squadron as a combination of Base and Planetary Armor defense. After 3 months passed, Mai finally was too large to effectively pilot the Sylph. Instead of opting to change bodies to stay in her squadron, Mai decided to apply for a change of occupation and request reassignment. By that time the Misshu had disappeared, leaving Yamatai with a large army and few enemies. Mai's request was granted and she was retrained as a medical specialist and reassigned to the YSS Senbu. When the Senbu discovered that Nataria had been attacked and the fleet depot had been destroyed, Mai was heartbroken, undoubtedly there were members of her former armor wing that were stationed there. When the Senbu commenced its rescue operations Mai was one of the first to volunteer to pull extended shifts.
Mai is familiar with basic radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other characters through headsets, starships, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. Mai is fluent in Nepleslian and Yamataian. She can speak and write both correctly and efficiently and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc.
Mai received hand-to-hand combat training, followed up with a rigorous training program. She is skilled and experienced in combat both in Yamatai-like conditions and in zero-gravity, with and without weapons. Weapons she is trained in include energy pistols, knives, and power armor.
Mai is capable of operating any computer system that uses the Kessaku OS, found on all Star Army starships. She is proficient in entering and/or searching for information.
Mai received basic mathematics training, to including up to algebra and trigonometry.
Mai is proficient at treating wounds as a first response (first aid) in order to stabilize the patient. Mai has also received a moderate amount of training in performing surgery.
Mai received training in Power Armor operation while she served at Nataria Fleet Depot. Although she has received the training, due to lack of use Mai's skill has faltered dramatically and she is only one or two cuts above those who are untrained.
Mai has learned a few things from being in an armor wing other than just armor operation. During the late nights guarding the empty or what were seemingly worthless warehouses on Nataria, Mai and members of her squadron would play cards. The game had been learned by a neko who was interested in Nepleslian games, and quickly spread around the group. Quickly however the game went from being an honest card game, but to a who could win at all-costs game. This prompted everyone playing to begin to cheat. The key of course was, to not get caught cheating. Mai wasn't the best at the game, but she could play it fairly well.
