Ise Momoka was born near the end of YE-29 as a NH-29M Mini Neko. She attended standard training where she learned what she needed to operate as a functioning member of the Star Army and began developing her personality. Once completed with her instruction she was assigned to the fleet as a junior operator aboard a small gunship.
She fought in the tail end of the First Mishhuvurthyar War and was killed in battle when the ship she was aboard was crippled. Her console exploded, vaporizing her immediately. She awoke in a new body and went back to work. In total she has been killed in battle three times.
When the Second Mishhuvurthyar War broke out she had been enjoying an extended assignment aboard a cruiser as a gunnery officer. The ship was lost relatively early in the war, contributing the second tick to her death count and was only revived because the ships Soul Savior Pod had been retrieved.
With the ongoing war, Momoka saw a lot of action over the next few years, serving aboard several more cruisers and gunships. She enjoyed the brief respites where her assigned ships were sent on more peaceful missions but the threat of battle was ever looming in the shadows and eventually a fight would come.
Momoka also gained a reputation for her parties. She had come to the decision that she could be killed at any time, permanently if the ships SSP was blown away, so she lived up her free time as best she could. This of course, led to some problems. She began to drink too much and got more than a bit out of hand on several occasions. She even once started a drunken bar fight while on shore leave, picking a fight with a group of Nepleslians, who she attempted to take on single handedly. Despite her fierce attitude and attempting to use everything at her disposal to fight them, the sight of a 7.7inch neko facing off with a group of Nepleslians was too comical and the fight subsided quickly, with her getting tossed in the brig for the night. She was reprimanded and demoted for that and had to take some time to reassess her habits.
Momoka was assigned to a battleship in the Central Defense Fleet when the NMX attacked Yamatai. Her ship was disabled in the intense fighting and boarded by enemy troops and ripper power armors. With the guns out of action and enemies aboard, Momoka donned her Sylph power armor and joined her ship mates in fending off the enemy boarding action. As the fighting went on, her armor was destroyed, forcing her to abandon it and scramble for safety. She failed in that attempt, wounded, she was cornered and stepped on by a Ripper, crushed to death under its boot. The enemy assault was subsequently repelled and Momoka was eventually respawned, though she had not further part in the Battle of Yamatai.
With the battles conclusion, her ship out of action, Momoka was sent down to the capitol world with many others to aid in emergency operations on the surface. She stayed on Yamatai for an extended period of time. She had spend so much of her career in the Star Army causing destruction, she felt it was her responsibility to help rebuild what she had not been able to defend.
After spending a considerable long time planet side either aiding with reconstruction or on shore leave, Momoka was finally assigned to a new ship, the small Chiaki class Escort YSS Sakishima, where she would take the role of gunner.
Momoka met with her new crew in a pub. They got all gathered, got to know each other and found that they had no Captain. After a harsh briefing by a clerk who Momoka did not like, they found they were to escort a convoy to their new home base at Leo Star Fortress.
Their briefing complete, Momo and her new shipmates head to the Sakishima and board her for the first time. This is when they meet Jeeves, the ships unique AI and find that they do have a Captain, who is just not officially there yet.
Departing from Taurus Star Fortress, the Sakishima meets up with the convoy and heads out on it's planned short and uneventful trip to Leo. While preparing for the last leg of their trip, all other escort ships except for the Sakishima detonate and are destroyed. At the same moment, one of the transports turns and makes an attempt to break from the convoy. It seemed she had been crewed mostly by pirates acting under false pretenses, who took the ship and were attempting to steal it and its cargo of aether shock arrays meant for Leo.
Tasked to stop her, the Sakishima intercepts and disables and boards the transport, retaking it after some fighting. Some of the pirates are captured, others are found dead or killed in battle.
The remainder of the trip to Leo was uneventful and they soon found themselves at their new home port.
Now on shore leave, Momoka along with several of her shipmates depart to explore the station. Soon they find themselves in a bar, where after a short while, Momoka gets herself into a scuffle with another group of patrons. The fight gets out of hand to the point where the authorities are called. The Captain intervenes first, getting Momoka and the others out before the cops arrive to arrest people and also settles things between Momo and the bar owner via a KS transfer from Momoka to the bar.
After this they all go to the hotel suite Yoshi rented. There they meet with Goto who arrived after hearing of the trouble caused. and some others. Momoka and Goto are sent shopping and for a time enjoy themselves until their conversation turns to a more personal nature, fostering a disagreement in viewpoints between them that ends in an argument and Momoka storming out of the train car they had been riding in.
Momoka's choice of locations for an emotional outburst and running away were probably not the best. In fact probably the worst, the most dangerous part of the station. She soon runs into a thug named Scott, who seemed to form an immediate attachment to the mini neko. Goto soon shows up and rescues Momoka. The two of them return to the hotel room and go to sleep.
In the morning, Momo and crowd get breakfast while Yoshi and Goto go to a staff meeting. While eating, Momo meets Goto's younger brother, who she ends up not liking. Soon though they are summoned back to the Sakishima for an early start to their next mission.
Sakishima rushes to Misato's Passage to rescue her sister ship, Mogami. There they find the ship taken by pirates. A battle ensues, with Momoka gunning to disable the Mogami. Crew aboard the other ship manage to help dispatch the pirates, then troops from Sakishima board via cutting open the bridge and venting the remaining pirates into space and retaking the ship.
The Sakishima returns to patrol and soon responds to a distress call from a passenger liner. They find the ship gutted and dead in space. Momoka joins the away team sent over to recover the ships flight data recorder. Soon they find the wreck has been mined as a trap to lure the Star Army patrol force in for an ambush. Everyone gets back to the Sakishima just before the mine detonates.
The battle with the pirates is on. The fighting is rough and all ships involved take heavy damage, many are destroyed. During the fighting Momoka is is incapacitated when a power conduit behind her station overloads and explodes in her face. She is rushed to the medical bay for treatment. She is out for the remainder of the battle.
Recovering from her wounds, Momoka speaks with Goto, who expresses his feelings for her. When they return to Leo they go on their first date. To help ensure they have a good time, Yoshi reserves a table at the best restaurant and a room at the best hotel for them. Momoka enjoys her date with Goto. The next morning though, they are interrupted by Misha and Goto's younger brother Daisuke. This causes Momoka much frustration.
With the Sakishima repaired and sent to Yamatai for the Yule holiday, Momoka spends time with Goto, visiting his home city.
Momoka is familiar with basic radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other characters through headsets, starships, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. Momoka is fluent in Nepleslian and Yamataian. She can speak and write both correctly and efficiently and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc. As with all Nekovalkyrja she has skill with her bodies' natural wireless communication. Also, specific to her NH-33 body Momoka has telepathic communications ability.
Momoka received hand-to-hand combat training, followed up with a rigorous training program. She is skilled and experienced in combat both in Yamatai-like conditions and in zero-gravity, with and without weapons. Weapons she is trained in include energy pistols, knives, and power armor.
Momoka is capable of operating any computer system that uses the Kessaku OS, found on all Star Army starships. She is proficient in entering and/or searching for information.
Momoka received basic mathematics training, to including up to algebra and trigonometry.
Momoka received training in Starship Operations, both general and specialization in Combat Systems to prepare her for duty aboard a starship. She has served aboard a wide variety of starship types during her career and has a broad understanding of everything from the smallest gunship through to battleships.
